Transcript
00:00Sergei Markov is a former advisor to President Putin.
00:04What is new is that in this memorandum mentioned that it's very bad
00:11when the United States making attack against another country just during negotiation.
00:18And also, most countries clear against so-called Golden Dome,
00:23its anti-rocket missile system which Donald Trump wants to establish.
00:27A lot of attention paid to the nuclear security issue, which we didn't see before.
00:35It's clear why, because now the United States almost fully destroyed this nuclear security system.
00:45And also, most countries first time mentioned about nuclear military ambitions of Japan
00:51and some of the European countries.
00:53This is for sure new, and it reflects increasing instability of the global politics.
01:03Xi Jinping said China-Russian relations have now entered a new stage.
01:08How would you define the relationship between the two?
01:13I will define the relation between Russia and China as best possible relationship between superpowers.
01:25You know, between superpowers, almost impossible to have, to be allies.
01:31That's why this term alliance, allies, didn't use in official statement.
01:38But in fact, it's almost alliance between them.
01:43They call this as very deeply strategic partnership.
01:48What, however, from Russian point of view, this relation can be proved?
01:52Maybe Russia believes that China could more take part in the formation of the alternative globalization world.
02:07Because current globalization system is created by Western countries,
02:13and Western countries use it on position with a bad view.
02:19And it creates a challenge for another country to create an alternative to the Western globalization.
02:27Which areas of cooperation do you believe hold the greatest potential?
02:33The greatest potential is resisting to the Western aggression, Western sanctions, is the main.
02:42Both countries help each other to defend on sovereignty.
02:46Another area is energy area.
02:49Of course, it's gas and oil from Russia, and also nuclear cooperation.
02:55Now, Russia has helped China to build a nuclear power station.
02:59And in China, leaders believe that the United States aggression against Iran and Venezuela,
03:07first of all, targeted against China.
03:10They find China very much concerned about the stability of the oil and gas coming to China,
03:19first of all, from Russia.
03:21Another area is formation of the banking operation system,
03:31which could be free from any influence of the possible sanctions from Western countries.
03:38And, of course, it's also trading by different products.
03:45A lot of Russians now buying Chinese automobiles.
03:49You can hear the United States.
03:49That's one of the world's country.
