00:00that have endured this campaign in many ways that have been so unfair to them.
00:04I want to thank my team back here, and this is some of them here.
00:07Round of applause.
00:13Now, we got a saying on the farm that family farm is a contact sport.
00:17I can tell you that campaigning is one as well, isn't it, folks?
00:20A lot of talent back here.
00:22I want another round of applause for my team.
00:23Not only the ones in here, but I see them out there as well.
00:28Thank y'all.
00:29Thank y'all for what you've done, and thank you for what you do.
00:33Can I take a minute and also thank my teachers, all the way back to Ms. Harden at St. Paul.
00:39Sister Mary Dorothea, Sister Mary Fulgens, Coach Walt Heath from Franklin Simpson just sent me a note,
00:45and I could go on, but the kind of people that shaped me into the young man I was
00:48and never realized until so many years later, you know, what they'd done,
00:52including my FFA teacher, Mr. Hammers, World War II veteran sniper.
00:56Wonderful man.
00:57Humble as the day is long.
00:59I want to thank my teammates from FFA, as Future Farmers of America, for you out-of-towner folks.
01:04That's a big deal in Kentucky, okay?
01:06FFA.
01:07To football, to SEAL team, and the joint special operations team that I've served on all over the world.
01:13Thank them, for they made me the better person that I am,
01:16and the more I was promoted, the more awards I got, the more humble I came.
01:20Now my focus is on advancing the president's and the party's agenda to put America first and Kentucky always.
01:34I'm going to keep this simple because, again, I speak fluent Kentucky.
01:38Because for the same reasons I joined in 1983 to serve our nation.
01:43Remember, I didn't join to be a Navy SEAL.
01:44Well, I joined to make a difference.
01:46And being a Navy SEAL was the path to do that.
01:49Weren't no books and movies.
01:50Never met one.
01:51I learned to swim in the Ohio River.
01:53That's ill-advised, but that's what I did on the farm.
01:56Would have got a whooping had I found out at the house, or I did that.
01:59But for the same reason I entered as a Navy SEAL officer in 1983,
02:03because I had the audacity to think I could make a difference.
02:07And I did.
02:09I will serve this district, my party, and my nation with that same audacity to make a difference.
02:16For them, their families, our district, our party, and our nation.
02:20God bless America.
02:21Thank y'all.
02:22Thank y'all for coming tonight.
02:24Thank y'all.
02:25USA!
02:27USA!
02:28USA!
02:29USA!
02:31USA!
02:31USA!
02:32Thank y'all.
02:34Can we get some more of that Brooks and Duck?
02:38Remember, in Kentucky, we got both kinds of music, country and western, okay?
