Marcos inspects drainage improvement works in Quezon City

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on May 20, 2026 leads the inspection of a drainage improvement project in Quezon City as part of the government’s flood mitigation initiatives ahead of the coming rainy season. Marcos, along with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon and local officials, checked on the G. Araneta Drainage Improvement Project, one of the critical flood-prone locations in the city. Located near Talayan Creek and the San Juan River, G. Araneta Avenue is notoriously known for having one of the worst flooding during monsoon season.
