00:00Hi everyone, it's Mark here, producer of Food Diego, and today I've got a little bit of a
00:04different video for the Dailymotion channel here. It's a little behind-the-scenes video on
00:10how to get good backlinks and why you should really use a backlink marketplace and why that's
00:17kind of the best way to do it these days. And this is coming from a person who has had
00:22websites
00:22since 1999. Here's my first one, Interface Productions, way back in 99, and it was a video
00:31production company that did music videos for different bands and put them out onto like VHS
00:36tapes like this and got them out into stores. But since then I've also branched out and did a lot
00:43of freelance website design and SEO and digital marketing, freelance video production, and I even
00:50had my own digital marketing agency from 2008 till 2018. Here's an example of clients that I used to
00:57get, like this one, Mechanical 73. They're a HVAC company out of Houston because I got clients from
01:05different places throughout the country because I got them through the internet with my own website,
01:09again, that I did SEO work on and got it to rank in Google. And when we use a backlink
01:14checker like
01:15this one here at Ahrefs. Let's see where the website is getting some backlinks from. Okay, and so a bunch
01:24of these I think that I set up. I know for sure that I did this one here, which has
01:31a domain rating of
01:32only 24. You kind of want higher than that, but I do remember getting that one for them. Probably this
01:40news one here, news.kisper.com. That's 45. Really, you want to go higher, like down here. There's one that's
01:5183. That's superpages.com. And that's one that you could do just by filling it out yourself on
01:57superpages.com. So if you have a local business, you could take advantage of that. Do superpages and
02:03all the different directories. A lot of them are nofollow, though. They're not all dofollow,
02:08if you don't know what that means. Nofollow links are links that tell search engines not to follow
02:14it. So they don't really have a lot of link juice. It's still good to have some nofollow links because
02:19that tells Google that, you know, this looks natural. You know, most websites are like that.
02:23They have both nofollow and dofollow. So you do want some nofollow in there. But then once you get
02:29some nofollows, then you really got to focus on the dofollows and get really high authority dofollow links.
02:36And you really don't need a lot anymore because of the way the algorithm has changed over the years.
02:41Now, if we go over here to the Moe's top 500 websites, you see that, of course, the
02:47very top ones you can get with domain authority of 100 are YouTube,
02:51blogger.com, google.com, which you can't really get a link from, apple.com either.
02:57Really, the only types of sites that you can get links from are youtube.com,
03:03LinkedIn, and, you know, social media and stuff like that.
03:06X.com is another example.
03:09TikTok, eventually, once you have a thousand followers on there.
03:14Telegram.
03:14But the thing is, most of those are all nofollow links.
03:18So once you have a few of those, they're not going to really help you.
03:22However, social media links do help you in another way, because actually a really big part of the
03:28algorithm nowadays is the actual traffic that your site will get.
03:31And I found that focusing on social media marketing, and even better than that, just running some ads
03:37and sending actual ad traffic to your site consistently sends a lot better signal to Google,
03:42and that really pushes the site up the ranks more than anything.
03:46So you don't need a lot of do-follow links, but you do need some, as long as they're, you
03:51know,
03:52good, high authority.
03:55And so, you know, the easiest thing then is to just use a backlink marketplace and just throw some money
04:02at it, because you only need a few at the end of the day.
04:05So let's see what we got down here.
04:06Here's a website, easybib.co.uk, with a domain authority of 61.
04:16And they only charge $31.30 to place your content, and also to, in this case, to write the article
04:26for you.
04:27This one down here, same kind of price range.
04:31They're a DA of 60.
04:33Next one down, here's an Italian one.
04:35By the way, you can also set countries too, so if you only want to do US.
04:40But they are charging $58.50.
04:45Street food guy, that's probably one I'm interested in, because that's another filter I put in,
04:50is food and entertainment related stuff, because I have a TV show that's on food,
04:55and it's entertainment related.
04:57So I might even do this one, it's $40.50, and get, I mean, I don't really need to,
05:03because I have streaming services that air my show, and, but I do have a Linktree,
05:08so maybe I'll use this and kind of improve my Linktree pages rankings a little more.
05:14You can do that too, and also for the individual videos, like some of the, I have the show here
05:19on
05:19Dailymotion, and some of the, those videos I may want to rank higher in Google too,
05:24to get some more eyeballs on the show.
05:27NewYorkStreetFood.com, perfect.
05:29Oh, but see, now this one charges a little more, $124.
05:33So it depends on your budget.
05:36And then of course, the really high-end stuff, let me see if I can find any down here.
05:40Yeah, so Entrepreneur.com, for example, everybody knows that one.
05:44Look at what they're charging, over $1,000, almost $1,500 just for content placement,
05:49over $1,500 to write the article for you and place it.
05:54Genius.com, oh, look at this one, $21.50, and they have a domain authority of 91.
06:02But you can't totally trust this, I've noticed.
06:04You might want to actually check that, because that, like, I showed you that
06:10Drenic.com one from the Mechanical 73, a little check that their domain was actually only 24,
06:17and they were supposed to be in the 90s, but they're not, at least not anymore,
06:20maybe they were at the time.
06:22So you've got to, you know, vet and make sure that these are legit websites,
06:27and they're not just little scams for the point of just selling links,
06:32which that one appeared to be that Drenic.com one, so I wouldn't do that one again.
06:35Look at Reddit is on here.
06:37But, okay, now Reddit is a nofollow link, though.
06:40So let me scroll this over to here, and we can see it says right there, nofollow.
06:47So you want to make sure that they do follow like that, like this one over here.
06:52Borgpanda.com, that's one that you know of, of course, $2,000.
06:56So, but, you know, you can find ones.
06:58What I do is just do the ones that are in the 60s, as far as domain authority.
07:03So anyway, I'll leave a link to that domain marketplace down below,
07:06in the description.
07:07Here's my website that I'm using now.
07:09It's just a Linktree page with links to the different video platforms and TV streaming services,
07:17like these ones here, that are airing the show.
07:19So that works for me.
07:21When I go and search for Food Diego TV series,
07:31we do get the Linktree already at the top spot.
07:35So that works pretty good.
07:36But that's on DuckDuckGo.
07:38Let's try Google.
07:41Foodiego TV series.
07:46And it looks like I already got an AI write-up on it, or overview.
07:53And then the first result is the Fossum TV link.
07:57And let me see if Linktree is showing up anywhere down there.
08:01No, it takes time for Google.
08:04It takes the longest for anything to show up on Google,
08:08because they do a lot more checking to make sure it's nothing spammy.
08:14And part of that is just by making it take time.
08:17See if the spammers give up.
08:20Check another page.
08:24I still don't see anything.
08:25So maybe I'll go ahead and do some link building.
08:29Get a couple of good high authority links,
08:31so that I can get it onto the Google search engine as well.
08:37So that's it for this video.
