00:00Welcome back. The Australian government has secured three shipments of jet fuel
00:04totalling about 100 million litres from China to help stabilise domestic supplies
00:10disrupted by the conflict in the Middle East. The deliveries expected from early June
00:15follow discussions between Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
00:21The cargoes from China are a first step and I thank Premier Li for the constructive engagement
00:27that we've had. Just like the relationships that we've built with Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia,
00:35South Korea and Japan have assisted us during what is a difficult period. This is providing
00:42great assistance and will provide more jet fuel here in Australia. Beijing has tightened fuel export
00:50controls since March to protect domestic supply after disruptions to the Strait of Hormuz due to
00:56the war in Iran. Australia has also secured 38,500 tonnes of urea from Brunei to support the agricultural sector.
