00:02And this is what's frustrating, and I understand why any Yankee fan would be frustrated right now, clearly.
00:07They're 2-7 in the last nine, miserable road trip, get swept in Milwaukee,
00:11lose two out of three to a lousy Baltimore team, and then the Mets, who are on death's door,
00:16quite honestly, that's how I felt about it on Saturday, on death's door after the Clay Holmes injury,
00:20you allow them to have the rally I just talked about.
00:22You gave it to them.
00:23You had them there, bases loaded, nobody out, a run already in, and you couldn't come through.
00:27And then your closer, who has been a major problem, and is someone you look at right now
00:32as a long list of relievers that you have no faith in, blows a three-run lead in the ninth
00:38to cap off what was a devastating, devastating road trip.
00:43And now you're looking at it, and you're saying, we knew going in, we thought the bullpen sucked.
00:48We knew going in, the bottom of the order wasn't very good.
00:52We knew going in, this team strikes out too much.
00:55And those three things, and that's what frustrates a Yankee fan, and they have every right to be frustrated,
01:00is that the issues we knew weren't addressed well enough.

01:05We knew McMahon wasn't going to be very good heading in offensively.
01:08We knew Wells had to show something, and we've got to get to him specifically.
01:12Like, we knew the bullpen outside of Bednar, who we felt somewhat good about heading into the season.
01:17Outside of him, there's not a lot of names in there.
01:19That impression, now the bullpen for me overall, has done a fairly good job up until this point.
01:24I've been surprised with some of the performances we've got from a Hedrick, you've got from Cruz,
01:28you've got even for the most part, from guys like Bird.
01:33Like, I've been pleasantly surprised that they haven't been terrible.
01:36But the whole time you were waiting for the other shoe to drop,
01:39and right now, this road trip, and specifically this Mets series,
01:43told you exactly where this bullpen is.
