00:00Hi, Chris Palmieri here from Bloomberg News, and I'm at the premiere of Mandalorian and Grobu.
00:05This is the first new Star Wars movie to come to theaters in seven years. It's coming out Memorial
00:10Day weekend, which is a good thing. It's got pretty much a whole runway. No other big movies
00:14coming out. That said, it's projected to open to about $80 million. It's on the low end of Star
00:20Wars movies. Some have done as many as twice back. But once again, it's directed by Jon Favreau,
00:26who did the TV series on Disney Plus that it's based on, and starring Pedro Pascal's,
00:32Bernie Weaver, and other folks. So certainly the Star Wars fans will be coming out to see it.
00:38But it's really a test of whether people who aren't Star Wars fans are going to come to what's
00:43essentially a TV series that they're turning into a movie, as opposed to an original Star Wars film.
