00:00117. In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
00:05118. O you who are wrapped in garments
00:11119. Stand in prayer at night, except for a little while.
00:15110. Half of it or slightly less.
00:22111. Recite the Qur’an with measured recitation.
00:29112. We will cast upon you a weighty word.
00:36113. The night's rising is more intense and provides a stronger rest.
00:45114. Indeed, you have a long period of activity during the day.
00:52115. And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with complete devotion.
00:59116. Lord of the East and the West, there is no god but He, so take Him as your protector.
01:09117. Be patient with what they say and avoid them with gracious avoidance.
01:18118. And leave Me with the deniers, those of ease and luxury, and give them respite for a little while.
01:27118. We have chains and hell
01:36119. And food that chokes and painful torment
01:43110. On the day the earth and the mountains trembled, and the mountains became a heap of sand.
01:53111. Indeed, We have sent to you a messenger as a witness over you, just as We sent to Pharaoh a messenger.
02:12112. But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger, so We seized him with a severe punishment.
02:21113. So how will you protect yourselves, if you disbelieve, from a Day that will turn children's hair white?
02:32114. The sky will be rent asunder by it; His promise will be fulfilled.
02:42115. This is a reminder, so whoever wills may take a path to his Lord.
02:54116. Indeed, your Lord knows that you stand in prayer for nearly two-thirds of the night, or half of it, or a third of it, or a portion of it.
03:10117. Who are those with you?
03:13118. And God determines the night and the day.
03:20119. He knew that you could not count them, so He turned to you in mercy.
03:27110. So they recited what was easy for them from the Qur'an.
03:32111. He knows that there will be among you those who are ill, and others who travel throughout the land seeking the bounty of God, and others who fight in the cause of God.
03:53111. So they recited what was easy for them from it.
03:58112. And establish prayer and give zakah and lend to Allah a good loan
04:08113. And whatever good you put forward for yourselves - you will find it with God as something better and greater in reward.
04:24114. And seek forgiveness from God.
04:27115. God is Forgiving and Merciful
