Two people have been accused of attempting to smuggle three live monkeys in their underwear across borders — killing one in the process. The duo was thwarted at Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena, Colombia, after attempting to smuggle the primates into the Dominican Republic in their “private parts,” the Cartagena Metropolitan Police confirmed in a post on X on Wednesday, May 13. The 27-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man, both natives of La Jagua de Ibirico, Colombia, had attempted to smuggle three monkeys in total, according to The U.S. Sun.
