00:00What if I told you that God, yes, God, the all-powerful creator of heaven and earth,
00:05can't kill Lucifer? I know, that sentence feels almost blasphemous, shocking even,
00:12because how can the Almighty, the one who spoke the universe into existence,
00:17be unable to destroy one of his own creations? Why does evil seem to endure? Why, after all the pain,
00:25war, betrayal, and suffering Satan has unleashed, why hasn't God just ended him? Isn't he righteous?
00:33Isn't he just? Doesn't he see what Lucifer is doing? And yet, Lucifer still exists. Not just exists,
00:43he influences, he whispers, he tempts, he roams. So today, in this episode of Bible Mysteries,
00:50we're diving deep into one of the most misunderstood, spiritually mysterious questions
00:56in the entire Bible. Why doesn't God just kill Lucifer? The answer is more complex, more beautiful,
01:02and more terrifying than you might think, because it reveals something incredible about God's justice,
01:09his character, and his ultimate plan. So if you've ever felt angry at the evil in this world,
01:14if you've ever asked, why doesn't God just stop it? Then stay with me, because by the end of
01:20this video, you won't just understand the story, you'll understand God's heart. If you're passionate

01:43To understand why God doesn't just kill Lucifer, we need to first remember who Lucifer really was.
01:49Lucifer wasn't created as a monster. He wasn't created as a devil. He didn't slither in with
01:56horns and a pitchfork. In fact, the Bible paints a very different picture. In Ezekiel 28, 12-17,
02:03we find one of the most poetic and heartbreaking descriptions of Lucifer's original design.
02:08Listen to this. You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
02:14You were in Eden, the garden of God. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained
02:22you. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you.
02:27Lucifer was once the most beautiful of all the angels. He stood in the presence of God. He reflected
02:33divine glory. He had a high-ranking position, possibly the highest among created beings.
02:39So here's the emotional tension. Lucifer wasn't born evil. He was created in love, crafted in
02:46perfection. But here's the question that pulls at the soul. How does a being surrounded by divine
02:52glory choose rebellion? And maybe a harder question. If God made him perfect, how could he fall at all?
02:59Let that sink in. Because it's not just a story about Lucifer. It's a story about free will.
03:04Well, Lucifer had the freedom to choose God or reject him, and he chose pride. Isaiah 14 gives us
03:12a glimpse into his heart. I will ascend to the heavens. I will raise my throne above the stars of
03:18God. I will make myself like the Most High. Did you catch that? I will. Lucifer didn't fall because he
03:25was weak. He fell because he wanted to be God. He wanted worship, authority, glory. And that choice
03:33tore heaven apart. This is the root of everything. Lucifer's fall wasn't a glitch in God's system.
03:40It was the cost of love. Because if love is real, it must be chosen. God didn't create robots. He
03:47created beings capable of loving him freely, which also means they could choose not to. And Lucifer
03:54chose not to. Now here's a question to keep in your heart. If God immediately destroyed Lucifer the
04:00moment he rebelled, would the rest of creation still trust God? Would they follow him out of love
04:06or out of fear? So here we are. Lucifer has fallen. He's chosen pride. He's led a rebellion.
04:14Revelation 12 says a third of the angels followed him like sparks torn from a fire. And now the obvious
04:20question rises like thunder. Why didn't God just end it? He could have with a word, a thought.
04:27Lucifer could have been erased from existence before his lies ever reached earth. So why didn't
04:33God? The answer is both divine and devastating. And it starts with this. Because God is not just
04:40powerful, he is just. Let's unpack that. You see, the moment Lucifer sinned, he accused God. He said,
04:48in essence, God isn't fair. His law is restrictive. He demands obedience, but offers no freedom.
04:56Lucifer wasn't just rebelling. He was launching a cosmic courtroom trial against the very character
05:02of God. And if God had immediately destroyed Lucifer, what message would that have sent?
05:08Think of it like this. If a government is accused of corruption and the accuser suddenly disappears,
05:15what would the people believe? Would they trust the government more or less? Would they say, see,
05:22they're just hiding something? And had God destroyed Lucifer on the spot, the entire universe,
05:28the angels, the heavenly hosts, even the watching worlds, would have served him from fear, not from
05:35love. So instead of ending Lucifer, God allowed his rebellion to unfold. Why? Because truth doesn't
05:42fear investigation. Because love doesn't demand blind loyalty. Because God knew the only way to defeat
05:49Lucifer's lies was to expose them. So he let the controversy continue. Let that sink in. God's
05:56silence wasn't weakness. It was strategy. It was mercy. It was justice. It was the long road that leads
06:04to trust. And maybe that's something you need to hear in your own life right now. Because sometimes
06:10God doesn't immediately crush evil. He doesn't always rescue us from pain in the way we want. But maybe,
06:17just maybe, he's doing something bigger. He's showing the universe not just his power, but his
06:23goodness. And that's something no lie from Lucifer can survive. Let me ask you, would you rather follow
06:29a God who uses fear to rule? Or a God who patiently lets the truth shine through the darkness? The
06:36answer
06:36to that is at the very center of the great controversy between God and Satan. Imagine being cast out of
06:42heaven.
06:43Imagine falling. Imagine falling. Not just physically, but spiritually, eternally, because of your own
06:49pride. Lucifer, once a radiant being of light, now becomes Satan. The accuser. The adversary. He's lost
06:58his place. His beauty is corrupted. His heart is twisted. But his rage, his hatred, it's still burning.
07:05And now, he needs a new target. So where does he go? To earth. But not just to destroy the
07:13world
07:13randomly. No. He zeroes in on God's most cherished creation. Humanity. Genesis tells us that God made
07:21man and woman in his own image. That's not just poetic language. That's spiritual weight. We were made with
07:28reason. Emotion. Creativity. Morality. We were made to love, to choose, and to reflect God in a way no other
07:37creation could. And that infuriated Lucifer. Can you feel the weight of that? This former angel, now filled
07:45with hatred, looks at Adam and Eve. Innocent. Glowing with divine image. And he seethes. Because they had
07:52what he lost. Purity. Connection. God's trust. And more than that, they were given something Lucifer
08:00craved. Authority. Genesis 1.28 says God gave mankind dominion over the earth. In other words,
08:07earth was theirs. Their home. Their inheritance. So what did Lucifer do? He didn't attack with brute force.
08:14He attacked with what he knew best. Deception. He slithered into the garden. Not with violence,
08:20but with a question. Did God really say? That's all it took. Doubt. Suspicion. A seat of rebellion.
08:29And in that moment, when Adam and Eve took the fruit and chose Satan's word over God's,
08:34they surrendered their authority. Lucifer didn't steal earth. We gave it to him. That's why Jesus would
08:41later call Satan the prince of this world. Because the throne that was meant for us was handed over to
08:48a liar. Now pause. Breathe that in. Because this part of the story isn't just history. It's our
08:55reality. We live in a fallen world because a war that started in heaven came here. And we, humanity,
09:02became part of the battlefield. But why didn't God stop it right there? Why didn't he intervene the
09:08moment Adam and Eve bit the fruit? Because the plan of redemption was already in motion.
09:15Revelation 13.8 says Jesus is the lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Which means God didn't
09:23improvise. He didn't panic. He had a plan to win back what was lost. So while Lucifer took dominion
09:30through deceit, God would reclaim it through sacrifice. And that's where the story turns. Because now the
09:36question isn't just, why didn't God kill Lucifer? It becomes even more intense. Why would God let
09:42Lucifer's rebellion go so far that he himself would have to die to fix it? If you've ever stood under
09:49the shadow of a cross and wondered, why did it have to be this way? This chapter is for you.
09:54Because the
09:55cross wasn't just about saving you. It was about settling a war that started long before you were
10:00born. Let's go back to that cosmic courtroom. Lucifer, now Satan, has made his accusations. God's not fair.
10:09God's law is too strict. He demands loyalty, but he's not willing to sacrifice anything for his
10:16creation. And for thousands of years, those accusations echoed in the minds of angels and
10:22humans alike. Until one day, God stepped onto the battlefield himself. Let this hit you fully.
10:29The one who created Lucifer. The one Lucifer betrayed. The one Satan had waged war against for ages.
10:36That God became a man. He was born in weakness. He walked among us. He healed, loved, forgave. And then
10:45he willingly went to a cross. Think about this. Jesus didn't die because he had to. He died because
10:53he chose to. And that moment on the cross, that was God's answer to Lucifer. Not an answer of
10:59destruction, but of demonstration. You say I'm unjust? You say I demand too much from my creation?
11:06Then I will step into their pain and take it upon myself. And Satan could do nothing to stop it.
11:13Colossians 2.15 says, And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of
11:19them, triumphing over them by the cross. Did you catch that? The cross was a public spectacle.
11:25God exposed Lucifer for what he was. A liar, a murderer, a deceiver. And he revealed himself for
11:33who he truly is. Love, mercy, justice, sacrifice. God didn't destroy Lucifer because he wanted to
11:41destroy the doubt first. He didn't silence Satan until truth had spoken louder than lies. And here's
11:48the beauty of it. Through the cross, God didn't just win a war. He won our hearts. Because who
11:55could look at a bleeding savior, the creator hanging in agony, and still believe the devil's lies?
12:01The cross was more than a rescue mission. It was a revelation. And it was the beginning of the end
12:07for Lucifer. Because from that moment on, his defeat was sealed. His influence shattered. His
12:14accusations burned up in the light of divine love. But he's still here, right? Still tempting. Still
12:20accusing. Still fighting. So the next big question is this. If Satan has already been defeated at the
12:27cross, why is he still active today? And why hasn't God just ended him yet? We've traveled a long road
12:34from the beauty of Lucifer's creation to the pride that broke heaven from the Garden of Eden to the
12:41Hill of Calvary. And still, one question remains. Why is Lucifer still here? If God won at the cross,
12:49if Jesus triumphed over sin, death, and the devil, why hasn't he finished it? The answer again brings us
12:58back to God's heart and to something many forget. The war may be won, but not everyone has chosen a
13:05side.
13:06You see, God is not just writing the end of a story. He's writing the end of your story, and
13:11mine,
13:12and billions of others. Because even though Satan has been defeated in principle, he's still allowed
13:18to move freely for now, because God is waiting for every last heart that can be saved to be saved.
13:252 Peter 3.9 puts it plainly,
13:37Do you hear that? He's waiting. Not because he's weak, not because he's unsure, but because he loves
13:44you. Because the moment God destroys Lucifer, it's over, final. No more second chances, no more time
13:52to choose. And that's why the delay exists. God is giving the universe time to see the full, bitter
13:58consequences of rebellion, and giving us time to see the full, glorious beauty of his love.
14:05Let me paint the picture for you. Lucifer will be destroyed. That day is coming. But when it happens,
14:12no one, no angel, no human, no being in any corner of the universe will have a single doubt left
14:20in their
14:20mind. Everyone will see, God was just. God was patient. God was merciful. And when Satan is finally
14:29consumed, forever, no one will ever question God again. That's why God hasn't killed Lucifer yet.
14:37Because love demands clarity, and love, true love, waits. So, why can't God kill Lucifer? He can.
14:45But the better question is, why hasn't he? And now you know. Because his justice is perfect. His timing
14:53is flawless. And his love for truth, for freedom, for you, is so deep. He was willing to wait. He
15:02was
15:02willing to suffer. He was even willing to die. If this story moved you, please hit that like button.
