00:29see that you can tap right on that notification you're going to go right to our interactive maps and look
00:35at in this example you can see your location right front and center and then there's a 10 mile radius
00:41a 20 mile radius and a 30 mile circle around your specific location and see all these little squiggly lines
00:47well those are nearby lightning strikes and you can animate the radar and lightning to see the evolution of lightning
00:53over time that's a great resource from the exclusive AccuWeather lightning network we also provide push
00:59push notifications in on your device and this is also very handy because you don't have to have the AccuWeather
01:05app open we'll send you a push notification when lightning has been detected in your area then you can go
01:11and take a look at the map this again can be a very helpful item from a safety and awareness

01:21all the way down to manage notifications and right under in this area here under lightning alerts make sure that
01:28those are turned on
01:29for your current location plus then any other locations that you care about and also while you're in there make
01:35sure government alerts are turned on as well we'll send you push notifications for severe weather warnings that are issued
