00:14industry, according to CNBC. General Motors reduced U.S. salaried headcount by roughly
00:1911,000 workers from 2022 through last year. Ford cut about 5,300 jobs from its 2020 peak,
00:27while Stellantis reduced salaried staff from about 15,000 to roughly 11,000 employees.
00:34GM this week laid off between 500 and 600 salaried workers globally,
00:39largely in IT operations tied in part to changing workforce needs involving AI.
00:44GM, Ford, and Stellantis declined to comment on recent reductions in their U.S. white-collar
