01:30mom and my sister's a single mom so we definitely rely on each other a lot being a single mom

01:36really hard sometimes you know kids are expensive life is expensive and having that second person
01:43there to even just help with half the bills like the electric and the gas that's gonna be super
01:48helpful having our kids be close is really important to us but because there's gonna be
01:53the four of us but makes it challenging to find kind of the right property you know we just are

01:59of feeling frustrated we've seen a lot of places but we both have to agree so we're gonna need help
02:05like if I could have my way everything would be you know bright turquoise or pink more vintage I
02:12know she's not really keen on a pool which I would like I know my daughter would like that I

02:18brothers can definitely help narrow down things and pick things if we don't agree on something

06:10Kristen and and Piper wing which would be nice and of course that pool that you said was oh so
06:16important I want a pool all right it's a nice pool but I don't know it's kind of takes up

06:22I like it it's small we don't need something big I mean I just feel like it's a little cramped
06:28I would rather have a pool than a backyard you know this place is just under 1.6 okay if

06:34want to do some work on the kitchen and stuff like that then obviously there'd be a little bit of

07:07dollar question isn't it um I don't want to no that was kind of one of the reasons we are

07:12our resources was to actually be able to afford in Burbank I mean this community is kind of a part
07:18of our life and and it's important to us yeah we want to live within a certain specific area we
07:23wanted to maintain the right school district and I want to be close to work um so I think we

07:28limiting ourselves and so that makes it a little more challenging we're putting a lot of money into
07:32it together and so we both have to agree on the home that we purchased is this the contender for
07:38yourself yeah I was pleasantly surprised at how big this house is when I looked online the pictures
07:45were good but it's even better in person I'm a little concerned about the backyard um the pool
07:50is nice but there doesn't really seem to be any other space which I feel like um maybe maybe might
07:56be missing the mark this is the reality of the market in urban centers like like LA like you people
08:03have to find creative ways of getting into home ownership and I think siblings living together
08:07is a great thing I think it's awesome even with kids I think it's a great way to stretch a

11:02can see all the way down shift the kitchen down here and all of this becomes living room dining
11:08that makes more sense but if we're moving kitchen and stuff down here that's a lot more work because
11:13you have to jack up the concrete and whatnot so I mean it definitely would be an improvement oh yeah

13:22I think that's a good legacy for from him I think it would make our father proud and I think

13:29make him excited that we were doing something for the family just a great dad
13:44so we saw both of your picks this is our pick I love the street I love the trees every

13:51looked at a house we learn a little something extra for you guys this takes all that information and
13:57puts it into one place that I think you're gonna love it's nice there's a school right down the street

14:15decent-sized lot the house is just over 2,000 square feet my office is a mile down that way

15:08termite damage when they opened it up apparently there's asbestos vinyl flooring underneath this
15:12whole area so something we have to consider if we're redoing our flooring but forget all that for a
15:16second there's more square footage here which is going to benefit you it's huge it's huge I mean
15:21it definitely has room for our back to back to back oh yeah six foot tables that we generally do
15:27for our holidays but I don't understand this square oh my god what is this so bizarre what is this

25:10foot island will span the length of the kitchen to offer plenty of counter seating and prep space for
25:15family gatherings finally traditional vintage touches paired with modern statement pieces will be brought
25:21in throughout the space for a perfect blend of your styles that would be awesome your kitchen's gonna
25:26look so expansive yeah it's gonna be it's gonna be amazing yeah yeah because budget might be a little
25:31tight you said you want to make sure we don't overspend that corner fireplace it feels pretty dark
25:36but we can paint the existing surround to brighten it up okay and then also those built-ins they feel
25:40dated but we can totally just keep those and clean it up save ourselves a few thousand bucks any bit

34:47a bigger house was very attractive but then you know just having her there for support for my daughter

34:58for our children to have that same kind of relationship is what I'm most happy about that
35:06they're that close Aiden's very protective of her she always has to say well he's not really my brother
35:11he's my cousin but he's like a brother you know not to get maudlin but like eventually one day that
35:17we
35:17won't be here and they'll have each other so for us having someone else that can be with them
35:23throughout their whole lives was really important I think it's not only going to be a good experience
35:30for us but I think it's good for the kids and makes them even more bonded than they already are
35:35and it's
35:36just more fun to have a sibling and we want our kids to have that and have someone that they
35:41can share
35:41those memories with
35:53is like these it feels like you are falling to the ground but I'll be there beside you I'll be

42:55to make a welcoming space and to improve our lives and the lives of his grandkids I just think yeah
