00:01the pit no matter how good you are or how hard you try someone might die
00:08that's called being an emergency medicine doctor welcome to the pit welcome to the pit i love this
00:15show oh my gosh it's so good right so we have we're two seasons in each season there's been
00:22a time jump between each season so if you're not familiar with the show but you've been curious
00:27about it right each hour of the show is an hour of the shift that these doctors and nurses and
00:35personnel are working in the hospital right so last season was a 15 hour shift so there were 15 episodes
00:42right and each hour was an hour of their show uh or of their shift so noah wiley shared that
00:48season
00:48three will time jump now to november this last season took place on the 4th of july that's right
00:54now we're doing early november he said um they're gonna start production in june and they're doing
01:03early november because it's just before the holidays so it brings in a whole new set of
01:07emergencies and confrontations and complications and all the things but like early november i mean
01:14we they didn't choose a holiday so i'm curious about this because are they going to do something
01:20with maybe veterans day which happens in early november and of course we know that there are
01:24some the characters that are veterans right that are that is a big part of their character on the show
01:31um that's a good point i was hoping really early november so like november 1st so people would come
01:36in with halloween costumes on with injuries because you know i mean i mean listen jokes aside it's a very
01:42serious show at times right but like in the 4th of july episode people came in with 4th of july
01:48related injuries or sunburn sunburn girl holy cow right that was insane that was nuts but it was like
01:54that was you know for as much as when you saw her you're like oh it still was kind of
01:59funny because
01:59she was just like this crazy red color right you know and that's the real that's what they deal with
02:05in emergency rooms across the country yeah and um halloween this year by the way jeff is a saturday
02:11so it would make sense if on sunday november 1st there's still a lot of holdovers and hangovers
02:17exactly yeah exactly so we will see oh and i'm getting a note from my friend barb who works in
02:24the medical industry and she says um i'm thinking because of no while he leaves for three months
02:30that's when he would return so july august september october yeah so he'll be back early november right
02:36right right okay so and he's got to come back because that was the thing that that's how the season
02:40two ended right is that he was taking a three month sabbatical right and that was basically
02:45the entire plot line of the season two when it came to his character right and yeah i needed a
02:50season three of this show i think the character development of it is incredible for a show that's
02:56about doctors yes right because there's patients coming in and out and the every hour andy that
03:01you mentioned reminds me of 24 yes where because there's no lapse in action because you're following
03:07a very intense scene of 15 hour shift patients in and out rooms doctors this i can't sleep after it
03:14i have to go watch like something a little bit less stimulating yeah yeah no we do the same thing
03:19we do
03:20the same thing we like throw on a half hour cooking show or something just kind of like
03:24lighten the mood shout out british bake-off because that's where we go slow vibes british accent put me
03:31right to sleep thank you so much to barb for that and we're all looking forward to the pit
03:35you
