00:00The Hungarian government's new cabinet was sworn into office on Tuesday,
00:05marking the final transfer of power from Viktor Orban to Peter Magyar.
00:10Qatar says Iran should not use the Strait of Hormuz as a weapon to, quote, blackmail Gulf countries.
00:20Hungarian ministers of the Tiza government have been sworn in at the National Assembly,
00:26formally establishing Peter Magyar's cabinet.
00:30The new government pledges to restore the rule of law, rebuild institutions and deliver professional reforms
00:48across nearly all key sectors, from the judiciary and economic policy to healthcare, education,
00:54national defense and environmental protection.
01:00Ködő és emberséges Magyarország megteremtése.
01:04Ez szolgálja a most felálló kormányzati struktúra is.
01:10A Tiza kormány a nemzet és nem a miniszterelnök szolgálója lesz.
01:29Peter Magyar announced that four ministries will play a central role in Teaser's proposed systemic change
01:36with the ministers of finance, health, education and child welfare and justice-granted veto power within the cabinet.
01:48Former Ukrainian Presidential Chief of Staff Andrei Yermak has been named a suspect in a major corruption investigation
01:54led by the country's Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
02:00In a joint statement, the agencies detailed that investigators had uncovered an embezzlement scheme
02:06to the tune of 9 million euros between 2021 and 2025.
02:11An organized group involving at least six other individuals are believed to have lost
02:16the funds through a luxury property development project near Kyiv.
02:20The statement added that one of the members was the former head of the Office of the President of Ukraine,
02:25who has been notified of the suspicion.
02:28And though Yermak was not named in the statement,
02:31Ukrainian media outlets widely reported that he was the individual in question.
02:36Yermak was a close ally of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy before he was dismissed earlier this year.
02:41He resigned after a corruption probe uncovered ties between him and various projects linked to fraud.
02:48Speaking to reporters in the Ukrainian capital earlier on Tuesday,
02:52Yermak declined to comment in detail, noting that he'll wait until the investigations are concluded.
03:02With EU defense ministers gathering in Brussels this week,
03:07Ireland's own defense minister, Thomas Byrne, told Euronews that the EU must continue increasing pressure
03:13through sanctions, military support and diplomatic efforts.
03:17EU officials are preparing a 21st package of sanctions against Russia,
03:21despite growing debate among member states over whether these measures are enough to change the course of the war.
03:28Byrne insisted that the sanctions have impacted the Russian economy
03:32and need to continue despite not having ended the war.
03:36The question is how do we best help Ukraine,
03:38whether it's provision of military material,
03:41whether it is through sanctions on Russia,
03:44whether it is through peace talks or indeed the enlargement of the European Union.
03:47I think there are so many different avenues for us to help Ukraine and to end this war.
03:53With the issue of direct engagement with Moscow returning to the agenda,
03:57Byrne signaled that Ireland would support diplomatic contacts if they could contribute to ending the war.
04:04We've also supported when individual leaders have contacted Vladimir Putin in the past.
04:08We think it is important to allow that dialogue to take place if it's going to end the war.
04:13However, Byrne stopped short of pinpointing a special envoy to be appointed to engage directly with the Russian president,
04:20describing it as a consideration for another day.
04:24Ireland will take over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in July,
04:29a role expected to put Dublin at the heart of talks to end the war in Ukraine.
04:37Qatar says Iran should not use the Strait of Hormuz as a weapon to, quote,
04:42blackmail Gulf countries as Doha and Ankara continue to push for diplomacy.
04:47This warning comes as U.S. President Donald Trump says the current ceasefire is on massive life support.
04:54At a joint news conference in Doha, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abd al-Rahman Afani
04:59and Turkish Foreign Minister Haqqan Pidan stressed that keeping the Strait open
05:03is critical for regional stability and the global economy.
05:07They also backed Pakistan's mediation efforts,
05:10calling them key to preventing the conflict from spreading further.
05:13Iran should not use this Strait as a weapon to pressure or to blackmail the Gulf countries.
05:25It's an international water corridor that should be always protected and should be always safeguarded.
05:32This current state of the Strait and what's happening over there should never be repeated.
05:39Fidan said both Iran and the United States want the war to end,
05:44but major differences remain over how to move the negotiations forward.
05:48Unfortunately, in any type of negotiations, you will always have ups and downs.
05:53And I think that it's a very important responsibility from us as countries and the region
06:01and from other countries in the world to ensure that the resumption of war is not happening
06:10and the continuation of diplomacy is the only way forward.
06:16Both countries' war in the conflict is already impacting global energy security and freedom of navigation,
06:21while regional mediators are continuing to work to stop the ceasefire from falling apart.
06:28Adil Haleem, Euronews, Doha.
06:33Palestinians mark the 78th anniversary of the Nakba,
06:38the mass displacement and dispossession of Palestinians during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War,
06:44from lands that make up modern-day Israel.
06:47Palestinians gathered throughout the occupied West Bank and Gaza, as well as in Ramallah,
06:53where they demanded the right of return to ancestral cities and towns,
06:57a request that has been part of decades of peace negotiations and is central to their narrative of the conflict.
07:20Mosques throughout Ramallah where the Palestinian Authority is headquartered blared a commemorative siren for 78 seconds.
07:29An estimated 750,000 Palestinians were either driven from their homes or fled during the Nakba.
07:37Older Palestinians still inhabit refugee camps in both territories, in the West Bank and Gaza.
07:43In December 1948, the UN General Assembly began calling for the return of refugees, property restitution and compensation.
07:53However, the rights of the Palestinians continue to be denied.
08:03At least 40,000 people marched through the streets of Brussels on Tuesday.
08:09The demonstrators gathered at the call of the country's three main trade unions to denounce the federal government's reforms,
08:16which the trade unions consider to be antisocial.
08:20The main issues and demands of the demonstrations, pensions, purchasing power and automatic wage indexation.
08:28The rally took place against a backdrop of soaring energy prices caused by the war in the Middle East.
08:35This national demonstration is part of a trade union campaign led for the past year and a half
08:41by workers' representatives against the ruling coalition government.
08:45The public transport across the country was running at a reduced service.
08:51Charlois Airport canceled all flights scheduled for the day.
08:55The last national demonstration in March had drawn between 80,000 and 100,000 people to Brussels.
09:10You want to know what makes a hero?
09:17It's not destiny.
09:22It's not something you're born with.
09:26It's searching for greatness.
09:30Johnny Cage, you have been chosen for more to come back.
09:34Then realizing you've had it in you this entire time.
09:41We learned a lot from the first movie.
09:43I think the producer, Todd Garner, really took into what fans were saying feedback-wise.
09:47And we just wanted to just make this the most insane fight film ever.
09:51So the first movie to me is kind of like a prequel, building up to the tournament.
09:55And this is the tournament.
09:56From the second you watch it, non-stop action.
09:59And yeah, it's very intense.
10:03Whoa, I really don't feel comfortable hitting a girl.
10:06Don't worry.
10:08You won't.
10:11Yo, send me back.
10:13I want to go back.
10:16The rules of the tournament are simple.
