00:00Benjamin Netanyahu has actually been speaking to U.S. media.
00:03He did an interview with 60 Minutes and he said the Iran war is not over yet.
00:09So what role is Israel playing right now in influencing U.S. and Iranian negotiations?
00:17Because we know that they're not directly involved at the moment.
00:21No, they're not directly involved.
00:23And while the U.S. and Iran are negotiating the end of the war in Iran, Israel is pounding Lebanon.
00:30And today they pounded, they gave orders, the Israeli spokesman to evacuate six villages, seven in the Nabatea area in
00:37Lebanon, two in the Beqar Valley.
00:39So and we've heard of deaths of civilians as well.
00:44We get more and more people are being internally displaced around 1.6 million.
00:49Lebanese-Israeli negotiations are set at a much higher level this time in Washington for this coming Thursday and Friday,
00:5614th and 15th of May.
01:00But Netanyahu is speaking to Trump all the time.
01:02And of course, he's pushing for more military action.
01:05The question is, will the U.S. president say steadfast and do what he did in June after 12 days
01:11and say enough is enough?
01:13We don't, you know, we've gone above and beyond with this war for Israel.
01:18And yes, Israel would like to carry out further attacks on the nuclear sites that they have asked Trump to,
01:26they've asked Trump to put forward a plan whereby Fordo and Natanz will be completely dismantled and that there will
01:36be zero enrichment
01:37and that the 440 kilograms of the 60 percent enriched uranium will go out, will be transferred out of the
01:45country.
01:45That is Israel's position, plus the many more kilograms of 20 percent enriched uranium, which no one is talking about.
01:52So Israel's position is very different to the U.S. Israel's principal concern is the nuclear file, then the ballistic
02:01file,
02:02and then, of course, all the proxies, namely Hezbollah, the Houthis, Hamas and other militias in Iraq.
02:09So, yes, Israel's continuing to put pressure on Trump to resume the war.
02:15But, as I say again, the U.S. president is an independent, is independent of Israel, and I think he
02:22really wants to end the war.
02:24The question is how and who will help him end the war, given that both sides have put forward maximalist
02:30positions.
02:31And may I add, I don't think the Iranian plan put forward or the response is stupid at all.
02:36I just think that it's that Trump is used to getting his way through bullying,
02:40and he's not going to get his way through bullying with Iran.
