02:35I would love a balcony more than anything just to get a nice little view.

02:40I'm looking for a little slice of land, a little bit of property of our own.

03:02I grew up a lot in apartments, and I've never had that kind of, like, stamp in the world.
03:07I want that little, like, chunk of Puerto Rico myself.

03:11Why don't the guests get a nice little short-term rental down the street?
03:14You know, we could hang out during the day.
03:16We can go walk old San Juan.
03:17And then at night, we can get away from each other again for a little bit.
03:20I think if we do go with a smaller space, it's going to have to be a little bit more

03:24We do have a lot going on, office, drag.
03:27We're the coolest people in our families, and we're moving to Puerto Rico.
03:30People are going to come down here, so I'd rather have the spot for them to begin with.

03:42So let's talk a little bit about budget.
03:45For a single-family home, we're talking about minimum $350,000.
03:52That is towards the tippy-top of the budget I would like to be.
03:56Honestly, if we have to push it a little bit above $350,000, I'm okay with that as well.
04:00Over the course of a 30-year mortgage, what's a little bit more money, right?
04:03So we will make it possible.

04:16Moving somewhere new is obviously scary for anybody, but everything we've done is kind

04:22When we decided that we probably want to start putting some roots down here, we started putting
04:27the money down for a down payment, and then we were able to pretty much pay off our entire
04:31place in New Jersey.
04:32So we have that always to go back, run business, do things there, but we want to spend most of
04:36our time here.
04:37We are going to see a couple of properties here.
04:40We're right now in Santurce that is up and coming.

18:37I mean, when I walked in, I was almost ready to write you a check, say, budgets, off-limits,

18:42The one thing that we really didn't like about the apartment is the fact that the only bathroom
18:46here is in the bedroom, actually.
18:48Normally, one bedroom in this location.
18:50I have never seen one with a half-bathroom outside.

18:58When I walked in, I thought that was a million-dollar view.

19:11guests stay over.
19:12I was almost positive it was going to be like, once I walked in, this is it, I need it.
19:15But after thinking of a couple things, I really want to make sure we're 100% set.

19:32The one-bedroom apartment is already off the table.

19:40If we had to lose one of the properties, I'm kind of glad it was that one.
19:44It didn't have enough of the things that we were looking for for our lifestyle.

19:50But how about the one you were really hoping for, a single-family home?

19:53Although it wasn't three bedrooms like I was originally looking for, it had the two full
19:57bedrooms and then the side little office nook that I would be able to use to work from.

20:08I wanted to walk in and feel like I was in old San Juan, see colors, see pastels, have

20:14I've done the apartment living thing my whole life, and I have a vision for our life in mind,
20:20and that's going to impact our decision.
20:25So after some careful consideration and a consultation with Hasta La Vista, we went with
20:30The Colorful Condo.
20:32It was the perfect choice for all three of us because it fits into our budget, it allows
20:35us to have family if needed, and it still allows Hasta La Vista to get more costumes.
20:40A little mini dress for Hasta La Vista.
20:41Gives you a lot of gravity for it.
20:42I can honestly cut it up, turn it into something else.

20:53This move has honestly been incredible for us.
20:55Now we get to go out on an adventure together, snorkel, and just really soak up life.
21:00We loved the kitchen as it was, but honestly, it was so much fun to just think pink and
21:04enhance it even further.
21:05We have all pink accessories now from our air fryer to our knives to our toaster.
21:09I'm even at the point now where I'm only allowing us to buy pink soap.
21:13Well, I know I talked a lot of crap about that balcony, but we did find the perfect little
21:18table to sit out there, enjoy our cafecito in the morning, and just soak up the sun.
21:22It's almost like the compromise worked out.
