Government accused of ‘burying’ gambling reforms with budget day release

The government has handed down its formal response to a parliamentary inquiry which had called for a ban on gambling advertising. It outlines a package of reforms including a partial restriction on radio and television gambling ads but ignores a key recommendation for a national regulator.

00:35Gambling ads in sports venues and on players' jumpers and uniforms will be banned.
