00:00Hi, thank you so much. What's up, guys? Girls? First off, we want to thank our mothers. Thank
00:08you so much for giving birth to us and for teaching us how to be daughters. We want to
00:14thank our team of almost all women. We want to thank each other for being in the band.
00:22Thank you to my sisters. I love you so much. To the girls who broke Leandra's heart,
00:27thank you so much for the good material. All of the women in this room, we are so honored to
00:35be in
00:36your presence. To be representing Canada on a global stage like this is not only an honor,
00:42but a dream come true to four Canadian girls. And we're lucky to have organizations like Factor
00:48and Billboard to help us along the way. So thank you so much. Finally, to all the women who have
00:55helped us get here in our 13-year career, rock music is a particularly male-dominated genre. I
01:02don't know if you guys know that. And we'll never forget all of your help and guidance.
01:08I think women are easily overlooked and seen as underdogs. But the reality is, is that we make
01:15some of the coolest art ever and are at the forefront of defining culture at this moment in time.
01:23Despite men sometimes having the loudest voices in the room, we have to remember that our voices
01:28have value. So speak up. Let the girls be heard. Let women creatives tell the stories that we need
01:36to hear about women. And to all the young girls out there who are listening, we hope you pick up
01:42a
01:42guitar and play a tune with your best friends. Thank you so much.
