00:3499 young Caden Meneer here part of the Yamaha star racing team amongst many there an incredible
00:42performance at the beginning of SMX next at the beginning of this year at Anaheim 2 he got the
00:48win there and then Lee you talked about at that core up to the pro class in Denver getting a
00:53fifth
00:54last weekend well it was a fourth for the heat here he's got everybody both coast to go up against
00:58but he would definitely like to get another top five here looking strong like you said job opportunity
01:03for these guys huge leap for him to come out of SMX next and then be in an east-west

01:08and if Hayden Deegan can win tonight he would go ahead of our very own Adam Cian Cirillo Kevin

01:41start teammates at it at the front one two and three Anstey Deegan Davies let's see if Hayden
01:49scrubs this thing as you see Max took a look up the inside he's had that vision before but if

01:55was going to challenge Hayden Deegan you had to get in front of him this is what they needed to

01:59they saw how quickly he ran away from him on the heat race you got Cole Davies looks like he

02:05to take a shot as well I talked about this race track racing tight the reason that I say that
02:09because a lot of these lanes are very short so it's very hard to move around so it's kind of
02:15you feel
02:16trapped when you're in this position especially if you're Hayden Deegan where you have your teammate
02:20in front of you you got Cole Davies all up behind you see Hayden looking over to the over his
02:26shoulder that's why here comes Davies he's a specialist in the whoops and you know that he
02:32would desperately want to beat Hayden Deegan in this finals east-west showdown of the year Davies
02:38will stay on a 250 next year Deegan goes up in just a matter of weeks to the 450 class

02:44motocross as he works on his teammate Max Anstey the winner of the season opener in Anaheim yeah you're
02:50talking about Hayden how much he's grown as a rider as I'm in that whoops section Cole had a better
02:55run to
02:56him but Hayden got back made that thing work and and Cole couldn't do anything he's trying to put
03:01that pressure on Max I feel like if I'm Hayden if I get around him might be able to get
03:05away but
03:05Max is doing a great job Ricky I was going to say James this guy number one isn't going to
03:10wait long
03:11and he's going to want to make the move there you go there it is Deegan to the front later
03:19crowd tells you what they think about that yeah it's going to be really important James as you know
03:23I believe for Cole to get by his teammate Max Anstey or it's going to be super hard to catch

03:31the rear wheel of Deegan I agree with you 100 it's good to see Max back up here JT that's

03:40I was thinking James remember this is the guy that won the opening round in a championship that has
03:44been absolutely dominated by your defending champ Hayden Deegan but this is how he started it would
03:50be a great way for Max Anstey to end this season on the podium he's been through everything this year
03:56including a removed appendix and this will be a bright spot on the season got his teammate Cole
04:00Davies right behind him and Davies is trying desperately to get by the British rider so he can
04:06try and go with Hayden Deegan it's teammates one two and three four five and six with McAdoo
04:12Hamaker and Kitchen the Kawasaki guys running fourth fifth and sixth yeah Seth has any chance he needs
04:19to get around his teammate and try to get up there we know how he's been there he was the
04:23fastest in
04:24your qualifying had a great heat race but all that can be left along he didn't get the best to
04:29start and
04:29the toughest guys are in front of him yeah he didn't and again a little bit of redemption for this
04:34season
04:35would be huge I look at the top of your screen Cole Davies getting into the second spot these next
04:43couple acts going to be a lot of fun to see if he can reel him in we'll have ourselves
04:46a battle for
04:47the lead yeah and it's a different position for Cole he hasn't normally Hayden's behind him stalking him
04:53so maybe this will help him loosen up if he can keep this gap closed then maybe as Hayden's starting
04:58to jump through the woods right there Cole can close that gap keep monitoring that as 2.1 seconds
05:06as we watch Cameron McAdoo and teammate Seth Hamaker aboard their Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's
05:11this is the fight for four yeah Hamaker needs to make the move on his on his teammate right here
05:17he's
05:17losing some valuable time and it goes so fast and that's the difficult part right here if it wasn't
05:23his teammate he probably would have made the move by now yeah but Cameron's doing really good he's
05:30really strong in the whoops as well so Seth is probably going to get him before because I don't
05:34think you're going to get him unless Cameron makes a mistake through the whoops yeah you're going to
05:38have to try to make a move up one of these 180 corners McAdoo who missed two races through injury
05:44recently came back at the last West Division round in Denver last weekend good to see him back and look
05:53good to see him in this form he's down McAdoo down hard oh no the hammocker's down as well oh

05:59goodness hammocker goes down oh the guys man he went right between them oh what a tough blow
06:09and that that is uncanny the two teammates who are having a brilliant race together come down
06:14four whoops apart yeah a lot just happened in the world because I heard the crowd if you look at
06:19our gap
06:20uh-oh I think Haid made a mistake in those whoops allow Cole Davies to close up that's what I

06:25the crowd was reacting for or to rather right before the PC guys went down pro circuit guys McAdoo and
06:33hammocker get the line right there oh Cole comes up short that stops his momentum a little bit let's see
06:41this passage through the whoops Kawasaki guys are off to the side all right this may very well be game

06:48it's it's Cole Davies last chance to take a shot and he almost does remember Denver last year yeah I
06:55was just about to bring that up and you know I think at this point this is where the experience
07:00comes in with Haid now he realizes Cole is here you're gonna have to race this guy maybe you kind

07:05let him go by but that was a pretty bold move by Cole this is gonna be the uh this

07:11gonna start being played right here you guys are in for an absolute treat right now and what the
07:16strategy is gonna be is gonna be a lot of fun to watch it play out but Cole very fast

08:45what we've all wanted to see everybody is getting this and I tell you what this is an incredible ride

09:50what's your motivation to beat Hayden Deegan and he'll just kind of give you the look like he knows but
09:56then he'll give you the answer that he's supposed to give that is my focus is on my title well

10:01gone he's got the title gloves off and that look that he gave every time I asked that question I

10:13when Levi Kitchen made this similar type of move on Hayden Deegan and Hayden Deegan showed he is the
10:19fittest guy in this class by a long shot you saw him that last lap he reverted back to blitzing

10:25you he is here for this fight I'm telling you right now with five minutes and 54 seconds left
10:30Hayden Deegan is far from done yeah well Hayden Deegan was faster on the uh last lap by three tenths

10:36he saw what Cole is doing through the whoops James I know you noticed that check out this replay oh

10:41no he comes up here and Hayden thoughts had Cole gives a little bump now I think it probably got

10:46little closer than he won he slid in there but he went in there for the move I would have

10:50probably needed to finish the job at that point but look at the live shot at the bottom hey Deegan
10:55has stepped it up get ready for the next round remember when they raced each other in the showdown in
11:01St. Louis I mean Hayden was able to match his whoop speed this is all it's going to come down

11:07fitness as well right here got lappers in play traffic ahead Gavin Towers is the first one they come
11:14across looking for a clear passage through no worries there for Cole Davies yeah I think the
11:19difficult part for Cole is not only obviously Hayden's there but you'll probably start seeing him look
11:24back because now he's gotten into Hayden now the gloves are off Hayden probably want to get it back
11:29and if I'm Hayden Deegan I would do exactly that I would run it in even if you know you
11:33can't pass
11:33just get him nervous oh boy and you can start to see it oh no and there's the payback and
11:39it does
11:39not work out it does not go Deegan's way oh now is it wow hey he's still there this race

11:49people don't tune the channel this race ain't over go warm up some more popcorn because it's on right
11:55now we're getting into lappers four and a half minutes plus a lap to go did you ever expect we'd

12:03this thing instructed in the sand there you go now it is game over
12:14wow Davies waited a full year to get this payback on Hayden Deegan and this is that second fall of
12:24Deegs down it goes in the sand yeah I think you just grabbed a handful of throttle to get a
12:30good run
12:30out of that sand and it slipped I could got down to the hard base and it was all over
12:35but crying
12:36there yeah I mean what happened was Cole Davies you know him getting into it the way Hayden's been going
12:42for Cole to kind of come up here and kind of startle that we knew Cole was and Hayden was
12:48too far behind
12:49to make that move that initial move when he went to give 37 the business he should have been probably
12:54a
12:54half bike uh closer and that that pass would have worked but uh yeah so that was miscalculated
13:01Cole Davies biggest fan is his 102 year old great grandmother who watches in New Zealand I wonder what
13:08she thought about all of that oh the bottom of the screen so race control we've just learned that they're
13:22checking out this pass come on let him race yeah let him at this stage there's
13:29it's the playoffs baby let him let him go at this point I think both those guys understand um
13:36yeah we'll see how about this race this has been epic
13:44is this a little warm-up for the 450 championship decider or is this the main event wow yeah
13:52all right we got a little quieter right here watching these battles got these two guys second
13:58and third I mean we think we've had some wild 250 races here go back to the championship last year

14:04vial yeah and hammocker yeah right and then hampshire I mean there's always some drama here and
14:14incredible ride pretty good if max anstey can hang in there it that'd be his third podium of the year
14:19the nice way to bookend the season with a win and a podium in a one and here in salt

14:29yeah it looks good for these guys they got a pretty big gap almost 10 seconds max over uh
14:34hate deacon so ken roxson is taking one step closer
14:41towards being a 450 supercross champion for the first time in his career as he heads out
14:48from beneath the awning will make his way to the start line really positive finish to the supercross
14:57season here too for levi kitchen really crazy what happened to his two teammates with cameron mcadoo
15:03set hammocker going down virtually the same time in the warps james you and i were talking about it
15:09earlier today and about kitchen and how well he rode last week in denver and how well he's doing right
15:16now
15:16and and he hasn't even been riding that much he hasn't been able to and that's a crazy thing it's
15:22almost like at the beginning of the season when he's doing all the training he's done better with
15:27less riding during the week it's crazy but like you said the pressure yeah there's no pressure left
15:32yeah there's no pressure but also it shows you how talented levi is and i think here at salt lake
15:38and
15:38differ the way to track start it really suits his skills but nonetheless the way to end the season
15:45compared to how the middle was going for him i'm sure he's kind of happy about that but yeah to
15:50be
15:51his fifth podium of the year really strong one and that solidifies second in the championship behind
15:55hayden deegan here's the 250 east division champ and the race leader to end the season on a high
16:00just 20 seconds plus a lap to go for cole davies yeah it's only going to be one more lap
16:06when he gets

16:13hayden deegan is back in fourth place 14 seconds behind his teammate and i'm sure you won't be surprised to
16:21hear this but race control did review their pass and no further action taken just good hard racing
16:29yeah really uh what a great race by both of those guys i mean even with hayden it just shows
16:33you how
16:34much he wants to win this championship's locked up got everything he could have easily just all right
16:40cole's on it but not hayden deegan look some of the some of the line switches so the race craft
16:46that he
16:46employed to defend from and then and then uh respond to davies those those sequence of laps they were
16:56unbelievable yeah i mean it shows you but also just as impressed by this guy this is what we
17:01thought we would see windows 2 how good cole was riding but at the same time um really let him
17:06have
17:06it today and the composure he's always had really good composure while racing in the heat of the battle
17:11this guy right here it's very impressive at a young age so unfortunately the season is going to be book
17:18ended for hayden deegan with non-podium results but not for this man here cole davies wins in salt lake

17:26to end the supercross season on a massive high levi kitchen comes across second max anstey will be on
17:33the podium no podium for danger boy but he goes out of his 250 career the champ back-to-back
