A bride and groom soaked by a downpour during their wedding ceremony spontaneously jumped in a nearby lake for a series of stunning photographs. Thad Barrington, 25, and his wife, Faith, 23, met and fell in love at Grace Point Camp and Retreat Center in Kingston, Tennessee, where Faith grew up. When they were younger, the couple spent a summer working together at the camp, so they decided the venue would be the perfect spot for their big day. Getting married in East Tennessee in April can be risky for weather reasons, Faith said, but five days before the wedding their nerves were calmed when the forecast read that it would be cloudy but there was no chance of rain during the ceremony and reception. No one had umbrellas or a backup plan, Faith added, but during the earlier tree-planting ceremony, on April 4, they started to feel sprinkles of rain. When the pair then started exchanging rings during the ceremony itself, that sprinkle turned to a downpour, with Faith, Thad and all their guests getting soaked in the process. As the couple made their way back down the aisle, their wedding coordinator encouraged them to quickly get to the chapel to dry off. Faith, however, had other plans, saying she "didn't think but just acted," and decided they should run and jump in the nearby lake, where they shared so many great memories when they were younger. The swift decision was captured on video and in photos by the couple's quick-acting photographer, Ann Huck, who chased the pair as they jumped into the water, hugged and laughed, and posed for photographs. Both being "Type A" people, Faith and Thad said such a spontaneous moment was exactly what needed to happen as they literally jumped into married life together – and it turned out to be their favorite part of the day. The couple then headed back to dry off, and when Ann, of Ann Huck Photo, later shared her images and videos on social media, the moment went incredibly viral.

00:00I looked at that and I was like, let's jump in the lake!
00:03This way?
00:04Yeah!
00:05Let's go!
00:06Woo!
00:07I think kind of the whole time I was nervous about rain.
00:11I was nervous that it was going to downpour at our ceremony.
00:13I knew no matter how many times we checked the weather, the day was just going to be what it
00:19was going to be and it was going to be great no matter what.
00:21But it was reassuring to know like, hey, it looks like we're going to get some sunshine.
00:25And we did for a little bit.
00:27The officiant was reading about this passage and, you know, weathering through all of the seasons of your life together,
00:35including the rain.
00:36The years ahead will bring changes in season and many types of weather.
00:41And right as he said that, it began to trickle.
00:44And then when we got back to the altar and we were exchanging rings, it started downpouring.
00:50I now pronounce you husband and wife.
00:57Our wedding coordinator was at the end of the aisle and she was like, get to the chapel, get dry,
01:02go, go, go.
01:03And something took over me.
01:06In that moment, I didn't hesitate at all.
01:09Where are you two?
01:11This way?
01:12Let's go!
01:13Because that's something that she had wanted and I could tell it was something that just took over.
01:27I can't believe God just missed him.
01:31We just started our marriage by jumping right in.
01:34And I think that that's the way that people should walk through life, is just jump in, take the chances.
01:42Let's go, Brian!
01:45Do the things in your life that maybe aren't picture perfect because what you'll get in return is just far
01:52greater.
01:53That was a great idea.
