Prominent Islamic finance figure Tan Sri Dr Mohd Daud Bakar and a company director claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court on May 11 over allegations of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM10.55mil.

Mohd Daud, 62, and Datuk Norliza Tajudin, 54, pleaded not guilty to the seven charges.

00:22Bank Nagara Malaysia, and 54-year-old Datuk Noliza Tajuddin pleaded not guilty to the charges.
00:30For the first to the seventh charges, they were jointly charged as Energy Eco-Senderian Berhad directors and shareholders with
00:38committing CBT involving monies belonging to two individuals and two companies.
00:44The accused allegedly used the monies by breaching the express contract, namely the Shareholders Advance Agreement involving a Sharia-compliant
00:54glove manufacturing business between June 2021 and May 2024.
01:00The court allowed bail at 100,000 ringgit with one surety, together with additional conditions requested by the prosecution for
01:09Noliza, while Mohamed Daoud was also granted a 100,000 ringgit bail.
01:15The court fixed June 19 for mention.
