00:10Santa Ana, baby.
00:12Everybody's always looking for something that nobody ever asks us.
00:16Hey, Dodson, what do you want?
00:18What do you like?
00:19You know, that has crossed my mind, too.
00:21If we would like to open up one of these units today,
00:22what would be something that would make you go crazy?
00:25You know, like motorcycle parts.
00:27I don't know.
00:28If I saw it like a, like a crushed velvet seat,
00:31maybe the tails in the back.
00:35What?
00:39When storage units are abandoned,
00:43the treasures within
00:47are put up for auction.
00:48I think I scored on this.
01:01Oh, yeah, America, guess what?
01:04Today you can call me Santa Ana Claus.
01:07I'm going to give out gifts, whatever I find in the units,
01:10because I'm feeling very generous today.
01:13I got to give me a unit first.
01:15Then we're going to see who gets blessed
01:16and who gets whatever I find.
01:19Sky is the limit, America.
01:22So they should always feel grateful and special
01:25that Kenny is thanking of them.
01:29Lately, I've been scoring amazing, huge units,
01:33but I kind of got way in over my head
01:36on how many things and how many things I have to sell.
01:40And it was a lot of work.
01:42So I just need to get a unit that's more manageable for me.
01:46I like to go big,
01:47but this time I want to focus on quality over quantity.
01:51Less is more.
01:55I don't want to get too woo-woo first thing in the morning,
01:57but between doing all my rescuing and fostering
02:01and bottle-feeding orphan puppies
02:02and walking old ladies across the streets,
02:05I'm definitely a one-percenter when it comes to good karma.
02:08Like, I'm up there in the upper echelon.
02:11Listen up, karma.
02:12I have been good.
02:13Like, annoyingly good.
02:15And I feel like I should be due
02:17for something pretty sweet right about now.
02:19It's time for me to start cashing in on my karma credits.
02:22So, like, a locker full of really cute vintage stuff
02:26that I get for a steal.
02:27Or maybe everyone's just nice to me for once.
02:30Oh, man.
02:32Of all the places for there to be that line.
02:35Let's see how my karma helps me get in this line of traffic.
02:39Here we go.
02:39Here we go.
02:40Here we go.
02:40See what I tell you?
02:42Good karma.
02:47Emma, Emma.
02:48I'm here to give out some gifts.
02:52Ho, ho, ho.
02:54We have 23 units here today.
02:56Well, I only need one.
02:58Okay.
02:59We're going to start off...
03:00Oh, my God.
03:01Nothing's big, huh?
03:02They don't have much.
03:02Have you got 10x20s here?
03:03Oh, my.
03:04You know what?
03:05You're absolutely right.
03:06I've got to get my game plan going, huh?
03:08Yep.
03:09So we don't really have a lot.
03:10It's okay.
03:11You know, some of my best units have been 5x5s, believe it or not.
03:15A little handful of nice...
03:17Just awesome stuff in a tiny little room.
03:21That's what I be dealing with, brother.
03:23I'll get in my Kool-Aid, dog.
03:25I thought you were going to hear your special secret.
03:27There's no special secret.
03:29Oh, here comes a lady.
03:31Oh, my good people.
03:32Hey.
03:33Another one.
03:34How are you, Emily?
03:35Hey, nice to see you.
03:36Great to see you.
03:36I'm giving out carmel.
03:40Carmel.
03:40For real?
03:41Carmel.
03:42I like caramel.
03:43A little caramel now.
03:45Extra karma later.
03:47They ain't got no flavor.
03:48They must be dialed.
03:50Thank you, dog.
03:51It's a caramel.
03:53Carmel.
03:54You know this neighborhood better than anybody?
03:56Oh, man, it's a tough neighborhood.
03:57It's your neighborhood.
03:58I mean, I grew up in this area.
03:59You used to live here, right?
04:00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
04:01I went to elementary school in this town.
04:03That's it.
04:03High school.
04:04My 90-year-old mother is still here.
04:06It's good to be back in my old stomping grass.
04:09And trust me, nobody stomps louder than me.
04:13Yeah!
04:14Oh, ha, ha.
04:16I like this guy.
04:17Come over.
04:17I got something for you.
04:19What's your name?
04:20Dad.
04:21Chad.
04:22Chad.
04:23Chad.
04:23It's your lucky day.
04:25I have this for you.
04:26No.
04:27Put that on.
04:27Oh, yeah!
04:30I love it.
04:32Chad.
04:33Hey, brother.
04:34I've seen Chad at these auctions.
04:36He's a good kid.
04:37Didn't realize he's such a big fan of Dave's.
04:40I didn't think Dave had any fans.
04:42We're going to yop these guys.
04:44We're going to yop them, okay?
04:45Yeah!
04:47Yeah!
04:49Welcome to the auction.
04:51We're Dan and Laura Dotson.
04:51And before you go through these doors, you need to know the rules.
04:54They're going to go to the unit, remove the lock, open the door, give you five minutes.
04:56You take a look around.
04:57You can't go inside the unit.
04:58You can't open any boxes.
05:00And who's ever got the most money in their pocket can own it today.
05:02Are you ready?
05:03Yes!
05:04Yes!
05:04Yes!
05:04Let's go, let's go, let's go!
05:05Let's go, let's go!
05:05Yes!
05:06Folks, we're going to go inside here.
05:08All right, Chad.
05:08Let's go get them.
05:17Nice in the hallway unit.
05:20All right, here we go.
05:22Oh, oh, it's almost stacked to the top, folks.
05:24Somebody's going to be pedaling their ass all over town.
05:28I see two amazing bikes, and I actually wanted to...
05:31Oh, it's Paul Frank, too?
05:33You can't really see all the way back there.
05:34I see some big garbage bags.
05:36I see some power tools.
05:38This is a lot.
05:39I said I was not going to get a lot today, but I might have to for this one.
05:44This isn't a small locker, but it's too good to pass up.
05:48Oh, they got two bicycles in here.
05:49You think I already got boxes pre-wrapped and stuff?
05:52This would be good for the Santa Claus tree.
05:54I ain't got to do nothing but put some Christmas paper on it.
05:57Thank you, bro.
05:58This is the best locker I've seen.
05:59This is the first one of the day.
06:01Yeah.
06:01Okay.
06:04I don't know what he's talking about, but I support it.
06:07I think.
06:10Ooh, I like it.
06:11Let there be light, right?
06:12All right, thank you.
06:14Share the light.
06:15I see that boombox thing.
06:17Everyone loves DeWalt tools.
06:18Well, yeah, and there's a bunch of...
06:19Watch it to DeWalt tools up there at the top right.
06:21Uh, yeah.
06:23Oh, yeah, man.
06:24Light it up.
06:25What do you see?
06:26He's lighting it up.
06:27Oh, I like this one.
06:28It's a good mixture.
06:29Tub, bikes, and chairs.
06:30We can sit down while we're working.
06:32Yeah.
06:33Oh, Princess House.
06:34Look at that.
06:34Now I like it even more.
06:35Let's see what happens.
06:37I see Princess House, and have you been in the game as long as me?
06:40You know that means money.
06:41I'll let you bid for me, though.
06:43You want to bid for me?
06:44Yeah.
06:45Okay.
06:46Alrighty.
06:46We got a big, a nice bike unit.
06:48And here we go.
06:49Nobody, which pleasure, way to get a paper sale?
06:50How much, how much, how much money?
06:52How about $100 for him?
06:54I got one hundred there.
06:55One in a quarter, where?
06:56One in a quarter, one in a quarter, a hundred and a half, a hundred and a half,
06:58a hundred and a half, a hundred and a hundred and a hundred and a hundred.
06:58A hundred and a hundred and a $15.
06:59A hundred and a hundred and a $10.
07:03Beautiful.
07:30Come on, Karma, don't you fail me now.
07:35No!
07:39No!
07:43Yeah!
07:45Yeah!
07:51Not back to it.
07:54Not back to it.
07:56So, this is Chad.
07:57You've got it for 775.
07:59Yay!
08:00Woo!
08:01All right!
08:04Chad and I make a great team.
08:06Those other buyers didn't stand a chance.
08:09All right.
08:10Better luck next time.
08:12Better luck next time.
08:13You did a pretty good job, huh?
08:14Yeah.
08:15Close it up.
08:16Lock it up.
08:16Hurry up.
08:17We've got to give it to the next unit.
08:19We don't want to miss anything here at the auction.
08:21All right.
08:22Yeah.
08:23Yeah.
08:27Open that door.
08:28Here we go.
08:295 by 10.
08:36Oh, there's some nice.
08:37Oh, they got a banjo in here.
08:39They got two guitars in there.
08:40Some tennis brackets.
08:42John McEnroe specials.
08:44The tote.
08:45And they got a fancy checkerboard in there.
08:48Chess.
08:48Yeah, the chess board.
08:50They make a damn thing right here.
08:51That's a good gift for him.
08:53Not much going on in here.
08:55You just don't have a light.
08:56I see a guitar.
08:58Guitar.
08:58That's nice.
08:58Most seasoned buyers, they have a light.
08:59Ring light.
09:01I need a ring light for my whatnot videos.
09:03A couple of coats.
09:05I need you to bring a flashlight so you can see what you're bidding on.
09:09The lead with the flashlight.
09:10Oh, stop the copper.
09:11I think it, I think it improves your chances of seeing good stuff.
09:17Not the type of karma I was looking for today.
09:20Chad, what do you say?
09:21Oh, look at this.
09:22That's a gamer.
09:22There's a guitar back there.
09:24A couple of musical items.
09:25All right, Chad.
09:26Come on.
09:26Don't tell anybody no secrets.
09:28Don't tell them no secrets.
09:28Come on.
09:29Okay.
09:30This is my kind of size.
09:31A little less is more.
09:32And I see a ring light.
09:33I see a guitar.
09:35What are in these totes?
09:37This is my unit.
09:39All righty.
09:40And if you're almost ready to go, I'm almost ready to go.
09:42I'm by 10.
09:42Who's taking it home?
09:43And here we go.
09:44Number 20.
09:44What's your pleasure?
09:45How much?
09:4520.
09:4820's good, Chad.
09:4930 would be better.
09:50I got 20.
09:50But do you?
09:51One of a 30.
09:51Where?
09:51One of a 30.
09:52Now, what's a 30?
09:5230.
09:5330 bucks.
09:53What about 40 bucks?
09:54What about 50 bucks?
09:5560 bucks?
09:5650.
09:57Chad, 60.
09:5860 bucks?
09:5970 bucks?
09:59Yeah.
10:00Tell us now.
10:0190.
10:0280.
10:02But it's 90.zza,
10:0390. Where?
10:03What about
10:0390? 20th?
10:0720. 20.
10:10120.
10:12130.
10:13120,
10:13130,
10:14130 now. 120, 130,
10:15120. Now, 130,
10:16130, 130, 130, 130, 130. 130, 130.
10:17120. Mr20.
10:17a $220,
10:22Emily. How's it? bunları?
10:25I'm sweating.
10:25That's exactly what I came for.
10:27I'm gonna take a break and see what I already got.
10:29Start with these nice little totes.
10:33See what's in this one right here.
10:35We got Dewalt tools.
10:37Okay, we got some Frisbees.
10:39Five bucks, someone will buy them.
10:43Not too bad.
10:45Compact drill, pretty much brand new condition.
10:4750 bucks right here.
10:48And let's keep going.
10:52Okay, I like how organized this is.
10:54Let's see.
10:55Ooh, what is?
11:00What is this?
11:01I don't know what this is.
11:03Okay, let's see on the outside of the box.
11:05Next gen control for a guitarist.
11:09I'd say at least 150 right here.
11:12Looks cool, a musical instrument.
11:15It's always sell.
11:15I'm liking the start of this.
11:19Men's T-shirt, oh, this is cool.
11:22Pizza.
11:24Pizza.
11:24Pizza hoodie.
11:25Nice.
11:26I can wear this to the movies.
11:27I like this.
11:28This is mine.
11:30This is interesting.
11:31Maybe DJ equipment or some kind of audio.
11:34And it's brand new, sealed.
11:36I'd say 150.
11:38Ooh la la.
11:39It looks expensive.
11:41I'm not a gamer.
11:42I know a lot of gamers.
11:43Judging on the graphics card alone is at least $1,000.
11:47This is custom built.
11:48Note to self, you can still make a ton of profit, even on a small manageable locker.
11:53This is a cool chair.
11:54Ooh.
11:55I like this.
11:56This is nice.
11:57Yeah, this is a gaming chair with a good cleaning up.
12:0050 bucks right here.
12:02These are nice cases.
12:04Is this?
12:05Wait, I've seen these before.
12:08This is for a DJ.
12:10Looks very high end.
12:12I would say 300.
12:1450 bucks for a guitar.
12:16I got a ring light.
12:1830 bucks.
12:19Looks like a nice case.
12:21Is there...
12:21Ooh, there's a guitar in here.
12:23Ooh.
12:24I love this color.
12:25The brand is Squire.
12:27$100.
12:30Keep going.
12:31Oh, okay.
12:31We got more clothes.
12:34Jeans.
12:34Jeans sell.
12:36Let's see if these are good jeans.
12:39It's a good brand.
12:40Oh, these are brand new.
12:41Nice.
12:42Sugar cane.
12:44These look like Japanese denim.
12:46Denim is very popular in Japan.
12:48And some of these jeans can be very expensive.
12:51I'm not very familiar with the names and brands of Japanese denim.
12:56But this could be a great lot.
12:58These aren't my style.
12:59But all I care about is if they add to my pile of cash.
13:03Those jeans are cooler.
13:05This?
13:06Or this?
13:08These are pretty cool though.
13:10I'd love to learn more about these and find out how much these are worth.
13:13The last thing we've got here is a nice gaming monitor.
13:17And we've got speakers behind it too.
13:19$400 with the monitor and speakers.
13:22Okay.
13:23I'm going to put this denim in my cart and get back to the auction.
13:31Oh, yeah.
13:33That's a good one.
13:36All right.
13:37All right.
13:37Here we go.
13:38Five by ten.
13:44Dan.
13:46All right.
13:47Ooh.
13:48Okay.
13:48I like your style.
13:49Thank you very much.
13:51Now just kind of hold it steel on something.
13:53Oh, got it.
13:54I found a flashlight in my car.
13:55Now that is good karma showing up.
13:57This is nice and tidy.
13:59Toy trains.
14:01That's really not my jam.
14:03I'll let the universe tell me whether or not I should bid.
14:06Oh, this is all organized right here, boy.
14:08Right?
14:08Oh, yeah.
14:09This is beautiful.
14:10This is my cup of tea.
14:11Merry Christmas.
14:14Let's go take a look.
14:16Well, we've got tubs.
14:18Oh, there's a little cart.
14:20I like it.
14:21Look.
14:22We'll see what it brings.
14:23Come on over here.
14:23This is the up section over here.
14:26There's enough mystery in there that's got me interested.
14:28And Chad seems to like it, too.
14:30Did a little bit of this?
14:31Not too much.
14:32Okay.
14:33I actually like this unit.
14:34I see some clothes.
14:35It's super neat.
14:36Oh, and a TV.
14:37I like this.
14:38I already made a bunch of money in my small locker,
14:41but I might not be done just yet.
14:43Mystery bag and tote unit.
14:45Start them in and set them down.
14:46And how much money?
14:47There.
14:47Number 100 there.
14:48And what is the corner where?
14:49I got 100.
14:49One and a quarter.
14:50I got 100.
14:50One and a half.
14:53Let's get 175 now, too.
14:55I got two.
14:58And 250.
14:59Chad, you're out.
15:00And 250 now.
15:00Do they indeed.
15:02That's Chad.
15:02And 2 and a half.
15:03And 75.
15:03Chad, you're out.
15:04Number 3.
15:05Number 3.
15:05Number 3.
15:05Number 3.
15:05Number 3.
15:06Yeah.
15:06Number 3.
15:16Number 3.
15:16No, no, calm down, Chad.
15:184,50.
15:194,50.
15:204,50.
15:204,50.
15:214,50.
15:2275 to 5.
15:225,25.
15:245,25 there.
15:255,75.
15:26That's 6,8.
15:274,50.
15:276,8.
15:286,8.
15:30That's why you don't make friends at the auction.
15:32Watch it, Dave, or you will end up on the naughty list.
15:366,25.
15:37One watch.
15:37Yeah!
15:386,25.
15:396,5.
15:396,75.
15:406,5.
15:426,75.
15:436,75.
15:446,75.
15:456,75.
15:466,75.
15:47Check your head, yo.
15:48I've got 6,50.
15:496,75.
15:506,75.
15:50Going to watch twice.
15:51Would've been 6,75 tonight.
15:52No, that's your way.
15:53That's your way.
15:54Oh, you got it, Kenny.
15:56Today, I'm in the mood of giving, and I'm also in the mood to give.
16:01Boom, Kenny.
16:06Woo-hoo!
16:08All right.
16:09Oh, yeah, folks.
16:11Lots of hitties.
16:16I like the sound you made when that door opened.
16:18She went, oh!
16:19Oh, my honeymoon sound.
16:20I see.
16:21I remember that.
16:21Best for laughing.
16:22And then it was popping up with laughter.
16:24What kind of laughter?
16:25Well, you know.
16:27You already looked at this unit?
16:29But it's so cute.
16:30Huh?
16:30Come on.
16:31Come on.
16:31Let's get in there.
16:32I got a lot here to look at here.
16:34It's packed, but clean.
16:37Another princess house.
16:38This one might not be looking good to others, but it's not that much work.
16:42And I don't mind that.
16:45It's a nice homely unit right here.
16:48What'd they call that movie with them?
16:52Harry's Potters.
16:53They got wine right there.
16:55I see a lot of gifts from some people, but I see some good gifts from the kids, too.
16:59I can't wait.
17:02Bales.
17:03Don't touch.
17:04Don't touch.
17:05Oh, sorry about that.
17:05Don't touch the bales.
17:06Oh, look, there's more of that princess house stuff here.
17:08Boxes, tubs.
17:09It's a mystery unit.
17:11Everything's clean.
17:12There's really nothing not to like about it.
17:14It's just a little bit of work.
17:15What do you think, Chad?
17:17Come on, Chad.
17:18We'll wait here.
17:19We'll be here in the up section.
17:22I think this might be closed.
17:24I can't really tell, but there's bags and bags of stuff.
17:28This will be a lot for me to sort through.
17:30I want to take the risk, but I got to know when to walk away.
17:33All right.
17:34Look at this one.
17:34Look at me.
17:35$100 for this.
17:36You're under 50, 50 bucks.
17:37What if it's 50 right there?
17:3875 right there.
17:391.
17:401.
17:401.
17:401.
17:411.
17:411.
17:422.
17:431.
17:452.
17:541.
17:561.

18:15I got it here.
18:17I got 5 in the corner, 5 in the corner, 5 in the corner, 5 in the corner, 5 in
18:19the corner,
18:19550 going once, 550 going twice.
18:21Are you in here?
18:21555.
18:22No!
18:23Yeah!
18:24I didn't know which way that was going to go.
18:25Great job!
18:27Now that is the kind of karma I was looking for.
18:29Pretty good deal, right?
18:31Folks, that's the end of the auction and don't forget to pay the lady.
18:34Thank you, everyone!
18:35Get out of there.
18:36Lock it up.
18:38Nice to meet you, Chad.
18:40We upped those fools, didn't we?
18:42Yeah.
18:43Yep!
18:44Yep!
18:51All right.
18:53Well, I'm excited about this one.
18:56Love it.
18:57Let's move!
18:58Yep!
18:59Time to get some work done.
19:01My number one fan, Chad, had to bid and run.
19:04Apparently, he isn't a fan of hard work.
19:07Anything that says PH, I want to keep right here, okay?
19:10PH.
19:12Well, while I'm here, why don't I just see how the day's gonna turn out?
19:16Oh, yeah.
19:18Princess house.
19:18There you go.
19:1930 bucks.
19:21Ready to ship, baby.
19:22Easy money.
19:24Oh, my gosh.
19:25That thing's massive.
19:27Princess house manoodle pot.
19:28Easy 250 bucks.
19:30Oh, look at that.
19:31That's nice, actually.
19:32That's a princess house.
19:34100 bucks.
19:35It looks like we have a Pustable.
19:4045 for that box.
19:42I'm gonna presume this is pretty close to the same thing.
19:46Oh, identical to this one.
19:47Another 45 dollars.
19:49Cups and Saucers, 45.
19:51Give me another 45 bucks.
19:54Wow, look at that.
19:56It is a picture.
19:5745.
19:59Oh, this is another pan.
20:00Looks like a hundred dollars.
20:02Another pan.
20:04100 bucks there.
20:05Oh, it's a grilling pan.
20:07Looks like a hundred dollars.
20:09And I ain't done yet.
20:11I made my money back just on the princess house.
20:14That's what I call home cooking.
20:17Can you do it no more?
20:18Sure.
20:19Did you sign the insurance disclaimer that if you die in the process of helping me?
20:23No.
20:23Don't drop it on me, okay?
20:24Don't drop it.
20:26Hey!
20:26I got it.
20:27Hey!
20:29I wanna say 45 bucks.
20:31I like this one better.
20:33This is a hooky.
20:3460 dollars.
20:36What do we got here?
20:37A vacuum.
20:37Oh, it's a fumigator.
20:39Is it a vacuum?
20:39Yeah, it's a vacuum.
20:40I say fumigator.
20:42Mega vac.
20:43I was right again.
20:4540 bucks.
20:48La Ouija.
20:49La Ouija.
20:50What the hell is La Ouija?
20:51Two-legged corner table.
20:53Open it?
20:54Yeah, open it up.
20:55Oh, check it out.
20:58So, what is that?
21:00We play the pool table.
21:01But it's missing something here.
21:03Is this the tip of it?
21:04Nope.
21:05I mean, there's gotta be something to hit it with.
21:07What do we got?
21:08Pool stick.
21:09There's gotta be a pool stick.
21:11So these go on the bottom of these, I think.
21:15Cartier.
21:16I like that so far.
21:17It says Cartier.
21:19It's been a lot of years since I played pool.
21:22The balls look interesting.
21:23So do all the sticks.
21:24I love this stuff.
21:25I played a lot of pool back in my day, but I've never seen a set quite like this.
21:29I need to break it down with someone who knows or cues.
21:34We've only got a few boxes left.
21:37Oh, punch bowl set.
21:38Definitely glass.
21:40$40 in punch bowls.
21:44What is that?
21:44A 10 by 10 canopy?
21:45That's $60 right there.
21:47Now we're talking.
21:48Oh, now we're talking.
21:49Carne asada.
21:50I'm gonna say $100 there, buddy.
21:53I think the rest, I'm gonna say about $100.
21:56Thanks to Princess House, I almost doubled my money.
21:58That's proof that a good eye pays off.
22:01Yeah.
22:02Well, yeah.
22:05Come on, let's go.
22:09All right, now.
22:11Santa Ana Claus is back right here.
22:13Let's see what we got.
22:15I paid a good $6.50 for this unit.
22:17And because I'm feeling so jolly, I gotta find something for my fellow comrades.
22:23We're gonna start with the red bag, because it reminds me of Santa Claus.
22:26And what we got here?
22:28Oh, I get this to Water Girl.
22:30It's the wrong holiday, but it's red.
22:32Even Water Girl's like flowers.
22:36What's this?
22:36Look at this.
22:37Oh, we got the diamond ring case.
22:40Is it real?
22:42This here is just costume.
22:44Just in case she thinks she gonna get married.
22:46Psych-alike.
22:47I say about $15 for this costume.
22:51We got black bag.
22:53Oh, look at this.
22:54Black doctor's bag.
22:55Who is this?
22:56John Vipacorites.
22:59It's John Farfatos.
23:01Yeah, him too.
23:02I remember him.
23:04That's his cousin.
23:06Pokemon.
23:07The bag itself.
23:09Look at that.
23:11Nothing for Poke dudes.
23:13$45 for something to Pokemon.
23:15Oh, look at this.
23:16This is for Water Girl, too.
23:18She gonna get all kind of gifts, huh?
23:20Soap City.
23:20Look, she love it, too.
23:22Youth multi-sport helmet.
23:25$20, right?
23:26You're barred to keep a kid from getting concussions.
23:28Or there's another one.
23:30And another one.
23:31And another one.
23:36I could dunk on this right, Chip.
23:45Look what we got here.
23:46Oh, we got roasting cars.
23:48Oh, a Lamborghini.
23:50I promised Dan I was gonna get him a nice car someday.
23:53And guess what?
23:54Today is that day.
23:55Look at him.
23:55He even inside it already.
23:58The whole box is, uh, I'd say about $50 right there.
24:02What do we got here, boy?
24:04Oh, look at the treasure chest.
24:06There you go.
24:08Oh, no!
24:09Stevie Wonder's.
24:10I ain't put my mouth on there.
24:12They might have the Gucci's.
24:14Let me see.
24:18And they got a watch.
24:19There's some his and hers.
24:21These watches here.
24:22$40 and a harmomaka.
24:28They shoot some basketball!
24:30Ha-ha!
24:35Mmm!
24:37Yeah!
24:43Boy, you see that?
24:44A fly!
24:45I don't think any of the other buyers will appreciate this gift.
24:49But we all know white man, King John.
24:52You see who else I got in here?
24:52You see who else I got in here?
24:53Oh, yeah.
24:54Helicopters.
24:56Brand new.
24:57I know Laura loves green.
24:59I'm gonna get her a green car.
25:01Lamborghini.
25:02Rumor zoom zoom.
25:04The rest of these tires, say about $25, bruh.
25:09This whole choo-choo trip, say about $40.
25:13Each Pokemon dude is worth about $10 in him.
25:16$60, $70.
25:18$80 worth of Poke-dudes.
25:20This is Subwoofer by, uh, Samazon.
25:23$20 on him, bruh.
25:25No, this here, here's not no Poke-dudes.
25:27Old-ass blankets.
25:29And towels.
25:30No money.
25:32Tonic to Dodge head.
25:35$25 for these toys, bruh.
25:37Uh-oh, Hot Wheel.
25:38Ooh, they're an organizer, too.
25:40There's a Mustangs.
25:42Yeah, I got about $100 in this, um, motorcycle club.
25:46Motar!
25:49Well, we got a lot of Weapons of Mass Destruction right here, boy.
25:52This Ben right here, $50.
25:55What we got here?
25:57It's heaviest.
25:58Mm!
26:00And the winner is...
26:06Oh, I don't know.
26:08Adam Records.
26:10See, recording, forward, standing, stop, ending.
26:13Push.
26:15Recording, amplifier.
26:16You can make your own records with this.
26:18This one looking interesting right here.
26:20I gotta find me a DJ to tell me about all this recorded stuff right here.
26:25Mm!
26:25They go, they got some purses in here.
26:28Michael Kors.
26:29Michael Kors!
26:31Michael Kors.
26:33$300 worth of designer purses.
26:36And the zippers do work.
26:37Next.
26:41Oh, oh, oh.
26:43Uh-oh.
26:44Guess what I got?
26:48Pokemon!
26:52We got some shiny ones.
26:54They say when they glitter, they work some money right here, boy.
26:57Charizard!
26:58Y'all don't know nothing about this.
26:59I say I got conservative save.
27:01With all the Pokemon cards, I knew I got $500 for all these cards I got right here.
27:08The star!
27:10Yeah, I'm gonna give this star to Lisa, cause she's a, uh, a star.
27:15My boy Dave, he gonna get this right too.
27:21Why a toolbox for Dave?
27:23Cause he's the biggest tool I know.
27:27I made more than double my money on this and I still got the record player to go check out
27:32to see if I can make some more records to make more money.
27:39What does Karma have in store for Lisa?
27:43Ooh!
27:44I have been stacking Karma where I can.
27:47I even shared some caramel candies.
27:49So, Karma, just saying, feel free to drop something sweet my way.
27:53Already a fan.
27:55Five dollars.
27:56Here we go, so.
27:59Oh!
28:01Tacky purses.
28:03Someone will buy these.
28:04Forty bucks.
28:05Just the kind of shoes I like to wear to a storage auction.
28:09I'm gonna say 80 bucks for the bag of fancy high-heeled lady shoes.
28:13Ahh!
28:15E-waste.
28:17Although, this was a Magnavox DVD player.
28:21Another one.
28:23Alright, 25 bucks for the DVD players.
28:27Alright.
28:30Dave kept talking about Princess House, and this stuff is actually kind of expensive.
28:36Yeah, that's like a set of bowls.
28:38There's a lot of it in here.
28:40That's a really nice skillet.
28:42Just this freaking pan is 150 bucks.
28:45This is a $400 box of Princess House.
28:48Whoa!
28:49There it is.
28:52Okay!
28:53Woo!
28:55This is a lot.
28:56This one's fragile.
29:01Another fancy cooking pan.
29:03We're talking enamel here.
29:05Probably a $250 pan.
29:07I'm gonna say we've got $800 bag of Princess House.
29:15Okay, Princess House is becoming two of my new favorite words together.
29:19The Princess House is here to stay.
29:23So this is what good karma cashin' out feels like.
29:26Not bad.
29:27Now it's time for Lisa to travel around the world with all of her Princess House profits.
29:34This is a decent suitcase.
29:36I've got suitcases for everyone to come.
29:39A hundred bucks for the suitcases.
29:41Random kitchen stuff.
29:4340 bucks for this box.
29:45This gigantic coffee table.
29:48Looks like this probably is the glass top for it.
29:51It's actual wood.
29:5250 bucks.
29:5340 bucks on the ottoman.
29:56All right!
29:58We are cookin' with butane.
30:00American Standard Propane Burner.
30:02All right.
30:03It's just for outdoor cookin'.
30:04That's where the butane's for.
30:07Oh!
30:08Hang on!
30:09Look at this thing!
30:11It's like a paella cooker.
30:13This is cool.
30:15I am a Spaniard.
30:16So you put the cooker down here.
30:19And you got your big old vat with the burner and the butane.
30:23I'm gonna say that whole set, $200.
30:25When you know that the universe is taking notice of your karma, you know.
30:31Yes! We're back at the Princess House!
30:35Real nice serving dish.
30:37$150.
30:39$300.
30:40$150.
30:42What do we got here?
30:44Christmas decorations.
30:45These are kind of pretty.
30:46These little light up trees.
30:48Bag of Christmas delight, $60.
30:53These are actually kind of vintage.
30:55Kitchen decoration.
30:57$30 for those.
30:58This whole box of knick-knacks and paddy wax, $50.
31:03And that's that.
31:05They say karma's a bitch.
31:06That's not the case for me.
31:08She paid me back with interest.
31:10So suck on that, universe.
31:12I mean, actually, universe, thank you.
31:15Now, the trick is, how do I fit all this good karma into my car?
31:20Ma.
31:22Karma.
31:30This is definitely the spot.
31:32I'm at Triangle Billiards meeting with co-owner Charlene Carter.
31:36Hopefully she can give me a straight shot on this billiard set that I found.
31:39I found this item and it says Cartier on there.
31:42I don't know if it's a Cartier pull stick or what it does or.
31:46Well, this is a snicker cue.
31:48And you can tell because of the handle on it and the lines that are here, the points on it.
31:52Oh, so maybe these are snicker balls.
31:55Yeah.
31:55These are snicker balls.
31:56So it's a 22 ball set.
31:58Snickers different because it has, it's a bigger table, 10 to 12 feet.
32:01It has smaller pockets, smaller balls.
32:03It's kind of like billiards on, you know, expert mode.
32:07Wow.
32:08So these are both snicker cues?
32:10Yeah, both of these are snicker cues.
32:12And you can tell because this is an Ashwood.
32:13It helps with the visual pattern of aiming.
32:16And is this Cartier, the jewelry store, like my wife has Cartier wedding ring.
32:21Is that what we're talking about?
32:21Yes.
32:22Yes, really?
32:23So in the 80s, Cartier branched out from the jewelry line and started doing home goods and like sporting equipment.
32:29And I think this was probably one of those pieces that they were doing.
32:33So is this like a vintage stick?
32:35I would say it's vintage.
32:36Wow.
32:36For sure.
32:37So how do you actually play snicker?
32:40So you rack it way differently than billiards.
32:43And it's a point system based game instead of stripes or solids.
32:47So you hit the red ball, make it into a pocket, and then you go to the colored points.
32:52This is the cue ball, but it's very tarnished.
32:54You can tell from over time.
32:57So you ready to break?
32:57No, I don't know.
33:03All them damn balls and I didn't hit a single ball in.
33:05Oh my gosh.
33:08Looks like a red ball to me.
33:10Now what do we do?
33:11I gotta go for a colored ball.
33:14This isn't going as planned.
33:15Now you still need to hit a red ball.
33:17Every time?
33:18Every time.
33:18That's why.
33:19There's so many of them.
33:22I don't know if I can even hit them down there.
33:25Ow.
33:27Okay, that's enough table time.
33:29Let's get back to why I'm here.
33:31Charlene, tell me how much money I have here.
33:34So for the antique ball set and the cues, they're in very decent condition.
33:41There's no dents.
33:42They're very straight.
33:45I'd say about $1,300.
33:47Oh my gosh.
33:49I like those numbers.
33:51No scratches.
33:52Just pure profit.
33:53Well, the table may have smaller pockets, but I'm definitely leaving here with deeper pockets.
33:58I appreciate your help.
33:59No problem.
34:00I'm gonna finish the game.
34:01Sure.
34:06All right.
34:08Today, I'm bringing my fancy denim to Mick Fontaine, the founder of Brave Star Selvage.
34:13I'm ready to see if these jeans measure up.
34:15Nice to meet you.
34:16Nice to meet you.
34:17I love your store.
34:18This is great.
34:19Well, I got these in a unit, and I'd love to ask the professional because I have no idea
34:24about Japanese denim.
34:26Okay.
34:27So, yes, we're definitely looking at denim, but not all of these pairs are salvaged denim,
34:33okay?
34:33Okay.
34:34Which is a big difference.
34:35A lot of people get salvaged and salvaged confused, or wait.
34:39Yeah, no, that's right.
34:40What's the difference between both of them?
34:42So, salvaged denim, which would be S-A-L-V-A-G-E-D, essentially means denim salvaged from, say,
34:50a pile of junk.
34:52Yeah.
34:53That has nothing to do with the way it was woven.
34:56Selvaged denim, which is spelled S-E-L-V-A-G-E, specifically is referring to the self-edge,
35:03or the self-bound edge of the denim right here.
35:06I can actually show you what a roll of salvaged denim looks like.
35:11So, here you have a roll of salvaged denim, and how this is woven is you have a single yarn
35:18that is continuously woven from side to side like this, okay?
35:23And that's how you get a self-bound edge.
35:26With one yarn, instead of modern production technique, we'll shoot a yarn, cut it, shoot it back, cut it, shoot
35:35it back, cut it.
35:35That compromises the integrity.
35:38Okay.
35:39Who knew denim could be so technical?
35:42Appreciate the lesson, but let's get back to mine.
35:44Okay.
35:45So, let's quickly go through it.
35:47The pair here on top, as you can see, it's not salvaged.
35:50It's got an overlocked edge.
35:52Okay.
35:53Okay.
35:54Here we have a brand called Ivisu, which were very prominent in reviving salvaged denim for the consumer.
36:03However, this pair, in particular, it's not salvaged denim.
36:09Okay.
36:09So, this is when they pivoted more to street wear.
36:12I was going to ask you that.
36:13So, this is more on the fashion side, not the collectible side.
36:18Correct.
36:19Now, this is where we're getting into the Japanese salvaged denim.
36:21So, this fabric was woven in Japan.
36:23You can easily see the salvage here, okay?
36:26You should be able to resell these.
36:28That's good.
36:29Yeah.
36:29So, now we're getting into Sugarcane, one of the top brands in Japan.
36:34Awesome.
36:35As you can see, salvaged denim, great quality hardware.
36:39The rivets are visible only on the inside and not on the outside.
36:44And that is done for leather upholstery.
36:48So, if you sat down, you wouldn't scratch your car leather.
36:52Last but not least, what we have over here, I would say, is the king of Japanese reproduction models.
36:58Okay.
36:58Joe McCoy specifically produced jeans exactly down to the stitch count, the fabric, the thread color, the hardware.
37:09Everything is a reproduction of an older era of jeans making.
37:14And, of course, the salvage edge, highly collectible in the sense of salvage denim that is still being produced today.
37:22This is all good news to me.
37:24Right.
37:24So, what are we thinking, you know, ballpark price altogether?
37:28Okay.
37:29Well, looking at these, I would say you could get...
37:38Ballpark number...
37:44$700.
37:45Okay.
37:46I'm happy with that price.
37:48I put my big girl pants on today and I scored a sweet locker.
37:52I heard that you can freeze your denim as a way of washing.
37:55Have you ever heard that?
37:56Yes, you can.
37:57That does mitigate some of the bacteria, but it is not the way to actually preserve your denim.
38:03Okay.
38:04So, that's just a...
38:06It's a fun story.
38:07If you don't like doing laundry, certainly go ahead and do that.
38:09Freeze your denim.
38:10All right.
38:10Freeze your denim.
38:11Yes.
38:14All right now, Onyx.
38:16See what my sound sounds like right here.
38:19I dropped my recorder off early to Gil Tomazi, co-owner and musician at Onyx Record Press and Capsule Labs.
38:28He agreed to show me around and see how records get made.
38:31So, this is our machine.
38:32It's one of the most advanced.
38:34It does a record every 24 seconds.
38:35We're the only ones that have this machine on the West Coast.
38:38You make a whole album in 24 seconds.
38:40Every 24 seconds.
38:41That is crazy, bro.
38:42Super precise.
38:43Let me show you how it works.
38:43So, the material starts off in the pellet.
38:46We have all different colors.
38:48It looks like a box of fruity pebbles.
38:50A lot of people think these labels are glued on later.
38:53It all gets pressed into the record.
38:55There's no adhesive.
38:56The paper will go in there with the material.
38:59And it's going to get squeezed down.
39:01Right now, steam is rushing through the machine.
39:03It's building pressure and temperature.
39:05And we're about to press.
39:07There we go.
39:08And you'll see it come over here on the trimming station and do the edges.
39:12But there ain't nothing on the music.
39:14Oh, the music's on there.
39:15Already?
39:16Yup.
39:16The metal molds are already on the machine, which pushes grooves into the material.
39:21This is ready to go.
39:23Do you press your own music too?
39:25Absolutely.
39:26We're all musicians here.
39:27Yeah.
39:28I've been playing music my whole life.
39:29I play six instruments.
39:30Actually, I just had a release that came out last week.
39:33You keep your music alive, bruh.
39:35You know, we really try.
39:36But yeah, we should go check out your device you brought.
39:39Yeah, let's do it, bruh.
39:40But yeah.
39:41Ha ha!
39:45Yeah, bruh.
39:46Ooh.
39:47This is an Atom recorder.
39:49This was a Japanese unit made in the early 80s.
39:51Not super professional grade.
39:55This is more of a singer-songwriter, home studio musician kind of person, maybe a DJ.
40:02It doesn't have a playback arm.
40:04This is only a cutter.
40:05To playback the unit, you have to put it on a record player and listen to it on a separate
40:09device.
40:09Let's see if it works.
40:12We have power.
40:13We should throw on a blank disc on here.
40:17And this will clamp down.
40:19All right.
40:20So we're going to bring in the music.
40:24It's doing something.
40:26So you could capture the music right from your phone or any other digital playback system,
40:31analog playback system.
40:33Somebody performing live on stage, put a blank on here and just cut right there on the
40:38fly.
40:38Ain't that something, bruh?
40:39Ain't that something?
40:40Yo, can you bring some music to my ears with the money tingling on this thing right
40:45here?
40:45Such a unique find.
40:47So rare in this condition.
40:52Hmm.
40:57Kenny, I would say $3,000.
41:00Yeah.
41:02Bruh, that sounds like a personal record to me, bruh.
41:06Kumbaya, bruh.
41:07Thank you, bruh.
41:08I guess that recorder had just went platinum America.
41:11I'll see you at the Grands.
41:14Music to my ears, my feet, everything, bruh.
41:18Kenny Crosley rose to the top of the chart, recording a profit of $3,700 bucks.
41:24Emily Pocoy found the edge in salvage and stacked 2,800 big ones.
41:31Dave Hester pocketed 1,900 snookers, while Lisa Delarios proved that good karma pays.
41:40Carmel.
41:41That's so dumb.
41:44Let's do it right now.
41:47Yeah.
41:49We're in capsule labs right now.
41:52I'm gonna break it down to you like this.
41:55I walked in calm, read the room, did the match.
42:00Everybody's talking loud, but they didn't see the past.
42:02One bit, one shot, no fear in my tone.
42:07They laughed at the locker, I laughed all the way home.
42:11Cut it open, jackpot, silence got loud.
42:15Someone that was joking want to follow me now.
42:18They follow me now, they wanna follow me now.
42:22Wanna follow me now.
42:24Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
42:26Y'all gotta lose my mind.
42:28I am not having me now.
42:30There you go.
42:32Why did couple times go back to you?
42:33Wait.
