00:01The arrest of Gordon Ramsay sent shockwaves through Canberra, the Attorney-General who
00:07opened the new court now in the dock.
00:09The new details allege he groomed a teenager with expensive dinners, clothes and alcohol,
00:16telling him he was very special.
00:19He would treat him as an adult and would keep the communication between only them.
00:24Police allege the communication was increasingly frequent, with a good morning and good night
00:31every day, along with lengthy messages throughout the day.
00:36Mr Ramsay is also alleged to have set up an online iCloud folder for the boy to post images,
00:43with Mr Ramsay accused of requesting increasingly sexualised images.
00:48The boy was initially hesitant to do this, however, the defendant reassured him,
00:54stating that if he has trusted everything until now, that he could keep trusting him.
01:01It's alleged when Mr Ramsay learned police may become involved, he told the boy he would
01:06delete the images on his devices and urged the teenager to do the same.
01:11To obtain these details, the ABC had to challenge a court decision not to release the material.
01:18The DPP sent it to the ABC, although not to others involved in the case.
01:25Magistrate Jane Campbell has called on the court to consider whether police should investigate if
01:31there has been a breach of non-publication orders.
01:35The ABC did not publish the material and erased it.
01:39The DPP is blaming human error.
01:41The Office will of course cooperate with any investigation if the matter is referred.
01:47Mr Ramsay will be back in court later in the month.
