Former ACT Attorney-General Gordon Ramsay, accused of committing acts of indecency and soliciting child exploitation material, is not expected to face trial before the middle of next year. It's alleged the former politician groomed a teenager with dinners, alcohol and clothes between 2022 and 2025, before requesting images of the boy in his underwear.

00:01Mr Ramsey was arrested in October last year and charged with grooming a young person and earlier this year was
00:09accused of seven additional offences including committing acts of indecency against a person under special care as well as possessing
00:15and soliciting child abuse material using a carriage service to menace Harris or offend.
00:20He was committed to face trial in the ACT Supreme Court in July and at an arraignment hearing today he
00:26pleaded not guilty to all charges.
00:28The court heard there would be several pre-trial applications including about the admissibility of evidence obtained under a search
00:35warrant.
00:35And with a date set for a criminal case conference in June next year where the parties can negotiate and
00:41discuss matters it's unlikely the case will go to trial before the middle of next year.
