00:00Praise the Lord.
00:01I bring greetings to you all in the master's name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
00:06It's such a great joy for all of us to awake from our beds,
00:11to remind of all the things what God has done in each of our lives,
00:16to thank Him for the blessed and beautiful morning.
00:21Let's pray.
00:23Our loving Heavenly Father and our gracious Lord,
00:27Lord, we thank and we praise you for the blessed opportunity
00:30to come before your presence this morning.
00:34Lord, many of the people are just being passed away before us
00:38and some have been fallen and some are being away from you, Father.
00:43But you loved us and you have given us the privilege to come before you this morning.
00:49Precious Lord, this morning as we prepare our hearts for your word,
00:53we pray and we ask you that you will speak to our hearts.
00:56and give your word for us that we might walk worthy of your word
01:02and corrupt our life, prepare us for your coming.
01:05In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
01:09This morning, if you have your Bible with me,
01:13turn with me to the Gospel of John chapter 19,
01:18verse 25 and verse 26.
01:22Now there stood by the cross of Jesus' mother
01:25and his mother's sister,
01:28Mary the wife of Cleophas
01:29and Mary Magdalena.
01:32And when Jesus therefore saw his mother
01:35and the disciple standing by whom he loved.
01:41We have been going through the people
01:43who stood at the cross of Jesus Christ.
01:49Remember, there was four women
01:51and one man standing at Jesus' cross.
01:57The first two women is the mother Mary
02:00and her life thought us to have a commitment life.
02:06The second woman is Salome
02:09and her life teaches us about the corrupted life.
02:14The third woman is the Mary de Magdalena.
02:18Her life teaches us about changed life.
02:23And friends, this morning, remember,
02:25there was other the fourth woman
02:26who stood at the cross
02:29and she was called as Mary,
02:31the wife of Cleophas.
02:35In the Bible
02:37and during the days of Israel
02:41in the city of Jerusalem,
02:44there were many women
02:46who had been named after the name of Mary.
02:50As I've been already told you
02:53that there were seven Marys in the Bible.
02:58And this is the third Mary
03:00standing at the cross of Jesus Christ
03:05and she was called as the Mary,
03:07the wife of Cleophas.
03:12But not many things were written
03:15about the life of Mary,
03:17the wife of Cleophas.
03:20So that's why we are just going to skip up to the men
03:24who stood at the cross of Jesus Christ.
03:27And the Bible says
03:29that the disciple whom Jesus loved
03:33or whom he loved
03:36and he was called the Apostle John.
03:41This morning, we're going to study
03:42on the life of the Apostle John.
03:47Jesus has chosen the twelve disciples
03:51and one disciple,
03:53that is the Judas Iscariot,
03:54had betrayed Jesus Christ
03:56and took the money,
03:57thirty pieces of silver,
04:00and he went and hanged himself.
04:02The Jesus said
04:05He was very worried
04:06about Judas and his death.
04:09And Jesus said this way,
04:11It would be better
04:12if he could not have been born.
04:15So now left with eleven disciples
04:18and Simon Peter said,
04:20I'm even ready to die with you.
04:22But this Simon Peter
04:23had lied Jesus Christ
04:24and denied him for three times
04:26and had moved away from Christ.
04:30Now there are ten disciples
04:31who was left
04:33and the Bible clearly says
04:35that the Apostle John
04:37was at the cross of Jesus Christ
04:40whom Jesus had loved him very much.
04:46In John chapter 13 and verse 23,
04:48the Bible says particularly
04:49that John the Apostle
04:52was at the bosom of Jesus Christ.
04:55He was very near to Jesus Christ.
04:59That's why Jesus took him
05:01to the Garden of Gethsemane.
05:05Jesus took him
05:07to the Mountain of Transfiguration.
05:10And Jesus also took him
05:14to the Jairus home.
05:17He was very closest, dear friend
05:21whom Jesus had loved him more.
05:25and Jesus looking to his disciple
05:28whom he had loved
05:29and said,
05:30John, this is your mother
05:31and looking to the mother
05:33and said,
05:34women, this is your son.
05:36Why did the Lord Jesus do that?
05:39Because we know in the Bible
05:41that Jesus had many brothers.
05:43But Jesus,
05:45in order to give the responsibility
05:46of Mother Mary
05:48to his brothers,
05:49but he gave the responsibility
05:51and a burden
05:51to take care for her
05:53to the Apostle John.
05:55Why was that happening?
05:57The first reason we find
05:58in John chapter 7
06:00and verse 5.
06:07Jesus did not give the responsibility
06:09to his brothers
06:10because they did not believe him.
06:13They were not followers
06:15or believers of Jesus Christ.
06:20Because in John chapter 1
06:21where we could find that
06:25Jesus came unto his own people
06:27but his own did not receive him
06:28but they rejected him.
06:29his own, his brothers.
06:32But when did they trust Jesus?
06:35When did they believe
06:35Jesus Christ as the Lord?
06:37After his resurrection,
06:40they saw Jesus Christ
06:41in his power
06:42and his mightiness.
06:44And in the book of Acts,
06:46they have preached,
06:47they ministered
06:49and they served
06:50the Lord Jesus Christ
06:51in a great and mighty way.
06:54The second reason
06:55that Jesus did not give
06:57the responsibility
06:57to his brethren
06:58is because their brothers
07:00were not at that situation.
07:02They were away far from.
07:05Now Jesus looking
07:06to his mother
07:09and looking
07:10to his beloved disciple
07:12and giving them
07:13the responsibility.
07:15That's what the most
07:16of the Bible scholars
07:17say this way
07:18that Mother Mary
07:19would stayed up together
07:20with the Apostle John
07:23till she faced
07:24her death.
07:27So the life
07:28of Apostle John
07:29speaks about
07:30the caring life.
07:33Jesus had loved him more
07:35so he was loving
07:37also Jesus more
07:39and he was placed himself
07:41right at the cross
07:43of Calvary
07:43during the time
07:44of crucifixion.
07:46He was not just like
07:48the other disciples
07:50but he was also
07:51a disciple
07:52who had been believed
07:53about the Christ
07:54resurrection
07:55and went to the tomb
07:56of Jesus Christ
07:58in that very dark
07:59as ours.
08:02But ultimately
08:04John was very
08:05taking careful
08:07son
08:10and fulfilled
08:12the responsibility
08:12that what Christ
08:15has given
08:15to the Apostle
08:17John.
08:20The life
08:21of Apostle John
08:22teaches us
08:23a great lesson
08:24that we could
08:25also take care
08:27of the other people.
08:29Turn with me
08:30to the
08:31Apostle of James
08:33chapter 1
08:35and verse 27
08:37says this way.
08:41Turn with me
08:42to the Apostle
08:42of James
08:43chapter 1
08:45and verse 27
08:48pure religion
08:49and undefiled
08:50before God
08:51and the Father
08:53is this
08:53to visit
08:54the fatherless
08:55and widows
08:56in their affliction
08:58and to keep
08:58himself
08:59unspotted
09:00from the world.
09:02what's a true
09:03religion?
09:04The Bible
09:04is speaking
09:05about the
09:05pure and
09:06true religion
09:08is to
09:09visit
09:10fatherless
09:10and widows
09:12and in
09:12their affliction
09:14and take
09:15care of
09:16all their
09:17needs.
09:18The Apostle
09:19John is doing
09:19the same thing.
09:21Mary has lost
09:22his son
09:22Jesus Christ
09:25and Apostle
09:26John was taking
09:27care of the
09:28mother Mary
09:30very carefully.
09:33This is our
09:34responsibility
09:35as a Christian
09:35that we not
09:36only think
09:36about ourselves
09:37but we also
09:38need to think
09:38about other
09:39people.
09:40That's what
09:40Paul said
09:41in Philippians
09:44in chapter 2.
09:45Most of the
09:45people they were
09:46thinking about
09:47them but they
09:47have forgot
09:48about the
09:49things of
09:49the other
09:50people and
09:51their works.
09:53We all must
09:53need to remember
09:54that one day
09:55the other day
09:55that we are
09:55all going to
09:56join and
09:57stand before
09:57the judgment
09:58seat of
09:58Christ and
09:59Christ is
09:59going to
09:59question us
10:02and Christ
10:02is going to
10:03say I was
10:04hunger and
10:05you gave
10:06me food and
10:06I was
10:07thirst that
10:07you gave
10:08me water
10:08and I was
10:09in prison
10:10you came
10:11and sought
10:11me.
10:15But when we
10:16say Lord
10:17when are you
10:17being in
10:17prison when
10:18are you
10:18being hunger
10:19when are you
10:20being trust
10:21then Jesus
10:22said he
10:23that doeth
10:23unto the
10:24one that
10:24who cometh
10:25on my
10:25name is
10:26doing up
10:26to me.
10:29so we
10:30all need
10:30to take
10:31care not
10:32only of
10:32ourselves but
10:33we also need
10:34to take care
10:34of the other
10:35people.
10:36That's one of
10:37the greatest
10:37commandments that
10:38Jesus gave to
10:39us love not
10:39yourself but
10:40also as how
10:42you love
10:42yourself but
10:43you also need
10:44to love one
10:45to one another
10:46way.
10:48So this
10:48morning the
10:50life of
10:50Apostle John
10:51teaches us about
10:52caring life.
10:53Jesus cared
10:54for him and
10:55he was also
10:56received the
10:57responsibility of
10:59the mother
11:00Mary and he
11:01was taking care
11:02of the mother
11:03Mary.
11:04That's what you
11:05and I can be
11:06able to do.
11:06That was a
11:07pure religion
11:08what according
11:09to the Bible
11:09says religion
11:10according to
11:11the Lord Jesus
11:12Christ and
11:12God wants
11:13such kind
11:14of courtesy
11:16showing one
11:18to each one
11:19of ourselves.
11:20Let's pray.
11:22Gracious
11:22Father we
11:23thank you for
11:23your word
11:24today that
11:26you all

11:28to look at
11:29ourselves but
11:29also to take
11:30care of the
11:31other things
11:32and other
11:32people and
11:33their needs.

12:14have done I

12:16heal their
12:16land.

12:18morning we pray
12:19that you will
