00:00Keeping tabs on the real estate market.
00:02Getting you down?
00:03There's gotta be a better way.
00:05I'm Jack McBrayer, and we bring you eye-catching,
00:08unique homes on the real estate market
00:10that satisfy a hunger for color!
00:13Yay!
00:14Texture!
00:15Oh!
00:16And outrageous surprises.
00:18That was a house and a goat pen.
00:20What?
00:21Put your finger in.
00:22Nothing's gonna bite me.
00:23I don't think so.
00:23I'm taking a journey.
00:26One house will be crowned the wildest!
00:31So, join now!
00:37For my first stop, I'm moseying over to Terlingua, Texas,
00:42where rugged ruins and desert landscapes stretch for miles.
00:46But here, there's one house for sale
00:49that's more suited for the skies than the ground.
00:54You're now free to move about the cabin.
01:06Uh, ladies and gentlemen, please return your seat backs
01:09to the upright position.
01:10We're coming in for a landing.
01:12What... is this?
01:15Is this dude trying to land a plane?
01:18Oh!
01:18Oh!
01:20Hi!
01:22Jack!
01:22Hi!
01:23Adam?
01:24Wow!
01:25Was all of this for me?
01:26It really was, Jack.
01:27We're so glad to have you here.
01:29I bet you've never seen anything like this before.
01:31I bargain that you are correct.
01:34Let's go check it out.
01:34I love it.
01:35Off we go.
01:38After you, sir.
01:41Oh, no!
01:43Welcome to Infinite Skies Retreat, Jack.
01:47Is this real?
01:48It is.
01:49It's a real airplane, real 727.
01:52I'm Adam, and I live in an airplane house.
01:55This entire property is 80 acres,
01:58and the house itself sleeps 11 people
02:01with three bedrooms upstairs
02:03in the traditional part of the house
02:05and two bedrooms on the airplane itself.
02:08This is incredible!
02:09How did this get here?
02:11It was trucked from California to Texas
02:15and now resides in my home.
02:17It is very bittersweet to list it for sale,
02:20but I work eight hours away,
02:23and it's just difficult to be able to pay attention
02:27and to enjoy it like I'd like to.
02:29When I bought the airplane, it was a whole airplane.
02:32And so in California, I actually had to have it
02:36broken into the pieces I was looking for
02:38for the house, and that was a process in itself.
02:42But from that point, it was brought on a truck
02:45and made the journey from California,
02:47lifted into place with a crane
02:49out here in the middle of nowhere.
02:51This is bonkers!
02:52So how much of the plane is here?
02:54Is that half a plane?
02:55It's 40 feet of the airplane is in here.
02:58Definitely want to see more.
03:00We'll head to the cargo hold first.
03:02Let's head on this way, Jack.
03:03And welcome to the cargo hold.
03:09And welcome to my Boeing 727.
03:13This is nuts!
03:16This is where the baggage would have been stored on a flight.
03:20You can actually sleep two people in here, Jack.
03:23This is crazy!
03:25Look at that. See? You fit perfectly.
03:27So you are into planes.
03:30A lot.
03:32I have been since I was eight years old.
03:34Fell in love with aviation when my family was staying
03:37right on San Francisco Bay.
03:39And all day, I got to watch airplanes come in side by side
03:43so gracefully.
03:44And from that moment forward, I loved it,
03:47and I knew that was the industry that I wanted to work in.
03:49My reputation among friends and coworkers and family
03:52is definitely that of an airline geek.
03:55I don't think anyone was overly surprised
03:58when I said I was buying an airplane
03:59because it was just really the next evolution
04:01of Adam's obsession with aviation.
04:04So here we are.
04:05What is this?
04:07That's a flight simulator.
04:08Shut up!
04:09It's set up for you to use it too, Jack.
04:11No!
04:12Yes, it is.
04:13Adam loves planes so much
04:15if you put a flight simulator in the plane that's in his house.
04:18We're talking turducken of aviation here.
04:21You ready to go?
04:23Oh!
04:24There you go.
04:25And we are flying.
04:27Oh, no!
04:28I don't know what I'm doing!
04:30I'm getting too close to the ground.
04:32The good news is there's autopilot.
04:34So we can switch on the autopilot if you want.
04:36OK.
04:37If I lived here full time,
04:39I don't think you'd ever get tired of it.
04:41That flight simulator, you can go anywhere in the world.
04:43Oh, you wake up one morning.
04:44Oh, let's try Tokyo today.
04:46Whoo!
04:47We gotta go to Akron.
04:49So, Jack, now boarding.
04:51Let's head on up to the main deck.
04:55Holy!
05:03So we are heading up to the main deck now.
05:07This is crazy.
05:10This is where passengers would have been seated
05:12when it was a passenger plane.
05:14Sure.
05:14And then when it became a freighter,
05:16this is the main deck for where the cargo was.
05:18So in a regular house,
05:20this is like your living room entertainment space, yes?
05:23That's correct, yes.
05:24This would be one of your living room areas in the house
05:28and get to sit in our nice first-class legroom,
05:32yet economy seats.
05:34I'm gonna make myself comfortable?
05:35Take your choice.
05:36And if I had a beverage cart,
05:38I would come back with drinks and pretzels,
05:41but I don't.
05:42Ginger ale, no ice.
05:43OK.
05:43I'll work on that.
05:45Ah.
05:46Now that's relaxation.
05:50Look at all that legroom.
05:52Hey, you're not wrong.
05:53This is more than I've had on my average flight.
05:57This is so wild.
05:59I love it.
05:59And I've never seen the inside of the wall of a plane.
06:02When I got this airplane, it was disgusting.
06:04Well, it's old.
06:05It was old.
06:05It was old.
06:06OK, so this is the living area,
06:08and then this is your bedroom space.
06:09Now we have the bedroom space.
06:11Adam, this is so unique.
06:13I mean, surely this is gonna be, like, snapped up like that, right?
06:15It's on the market.
06:16That's my hope.
06:17And I really would love for somebody to pick it up
06:20who is really interested in aviation,
06:22or just enthusiastic about carrying on that love of aviation
06:26to share with other people.
06:27So that would be the OG cockpit.
06:30That it is.
06:31Yeah.
06:31Let's head on up and take a look.
06:35Whoa.
06:37Whoa.
06:38OK, I see one, two, three, four, five seats.
06:42There's a lot of seats and a lot of buttons up here.
06:44OK, so if you bought this plan to be commissioned or something,
06:47was it working?
06:48I see lights on.
06:49When I did have it broken up to come down to Texas,
06:52of course, all the wires were cut.
06:54Sure.
06:54But my electrician for this house
06:57is actually an aviation enthusiast as well.
07:00And he was able to rewire a lot of this cockpit.
07:02Do you ever pretend like you're a pilot?
07:04All the time.
07:05Yeah.
07:06Do you want to give it a try?
07:07Yes.
07:07All right.
07:10Whoa.
07:11And you are in the captain's seat.
07:13Oh, yeah?
07:14This is the real deal.
07:15Yes, sir.
07:17Now, are these yours?
07:18They are.
07:19May I?
07:19Do you want to try them on?
07:20Yeah.
07:20Go right ahead.
07:29Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking.
07:31Welcome to flight 527.
07:33We're looking at a four-hour flight.
07:35Captain.
07:36Bird strike.
07:37Right wing.
07:37Right wing.
07:38Bird strike.
07:39We have hydraulics down.
07:40Oh, we just lost an engine.
07:42What does that mean?
07:43No, no.
07:43Don't touch that.
07:44Well, what am I supposed to touch?
07:46This is your house, Blaine?
07:48Ah!
07:49Ah!
07:51Ah!
07:51Ah!
07:52Ah!
07:52What is happening?
07:53Oh, okay.
07:54No, no.
07:54I can't.
07:55I can't.
07:59Let's leave this to the professionals.
08:01Well, you know, Jack, it's not for everybody.
08:04No.
08:04We'll get you a car next time.
08:06Wait.
08:07Where are you going?
08:08Yep.
08:09Nope.
08:09Not cut out to be a pilot.
08:10I'm a very good passenger.
08:11Put me in first class.
08:12I'm good to go.
08:14Let's head on up.
08:17Oh, my God.
08:18And this is the more traditional part of the house.
08:22Gotcha.
08:22Like the third floor.
08:24A whole third level up here.
08:26It has a kitchen, living room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms up here, including one en suite.
08:34It's just gorgeous and so clean.
08:36Thank you so much.
08:37I appreciate it.
08:38And this view.
08:38My gosh.
08:38Come on.
08:39This is such a selling point.
08:41Oh, man.
08:43Adam, come on.
08:46And this is during the daytime.
08:48Can you imagine what this looks like with the stars at night?
08:51It's absolutely fantastic.
08:53Thank you so much for the tour.
08:54Thank you, Jack.
08:55I think we made a pilot out of you, too.
08:57It ain't pilot season anymore.
09:00Thank you, Adam.
09:01Thanks, Jack.
09:02Was that a home or an aerospace experience?
09:06Let's see how this sky-high house measures up.
09:09Making a home out of an actual 727 takes originality to new heights.
09:16It is first-class commitment to preserve the OG flight deck and repurpose airline seats
09:21into a lounge.
09:23And allowing your guests to fully immerse themselves in the aviation world with a flight simulator
09:28is buckle your seatbelts wild.
09:32This is what I call my 80s room.
09:38Rad.
09:41It's been incredible seeing all the amazing wild listings out there.
09:46We asked you to share some of your wild spaces.
09:48And let me just say, y'all heeded the call of the wild.
09:53See what I did there?
09:54Roll it.
09:56My name's Savannah.
09:57I live in Pennsylvania.
09:59And this is my trippy house.
10:04Trippy to me is just visually seeing something that makes your eyes kind of, like, vibrate a little bit.
10:14This house is a studio.
10:15It's one bedroom, one bath.
10:18There is not a single thing that is white in here anymore.
10:22Well, besides me.
10:25Pretty much everything from floor to ceiling is completely covered with my artwork.
10:31Nothing is safe.
10:32I painted my Wi-Fi router.
10:35I painted my fire extinguisher, toaster oven, ice machine.
10:40I can keep going.
10:43As soon as I start holding a pencil or a paintbrush, it literally just goes until everything is covered.
10:50I've used every single medium.
10:52Acrylic paint, paint pens, Sharpies on the wall, watercolor paint, spray paint.
10:59The whole upstairs loft area, which is my bedroom, I did with neon paint and glow-in-the-dark paint.
11:05I do too much on this house, but it's awesome.
11:07I always like to say normal is boring.
11:11I step out into the world and it's so gray.
11:14People sometimes, I feel like, are afraid to express themselves.
11:17So, I feel like having a creative space like this is so important for, like, your mental health.
11:22People may call me crazy, but I call it...
11:25inspiring.
11:29Moving on to my next stop, I rolled into Miami, Florida,
11:33to see a 1970s time capsule that was quite the sensation on social media,
11:39leading to a buyer with a particular passion for pink to purchase it.
11:49Hi, Annie!
11:50Hi, Jack!
11:51Want a tour of your house?
11:52Sure, Jack!
11:53Come on, Annie, let's go party!
12:05Okay, Jack, are you ready to see my place?
12:07Yes, ma'am!
12:10Oh!
12:14Welcome to the palace.
12:18Whoa!
12:18Oh, wowie, zowie!
12:25I'm Annie, and I bought my dream home.
12:28Okay, okay, okay.
12:30This all makes sense.
12:31Look at you, you like pink.
12:33It's my favorite color.
12:34I mean, on this show, I have seen pink homes,
12:39but this one is different.
12:41It's pink of yesteryear.
12:44What is your story? Are you from Florida?
12:46I'm not from Florida originally.
12:48I grew up in Michigan.
12:49Uh-huh.
12:50But this has always been who I am.
12:52Ever since childhood, I've always had to have everything in pink.
12:56I still love all the things I loved in my childhood,
12:58and now I just make the adult version in my house.
13:00I mean, this is very ornate.
13:02This is very intricate.
13:04Very vintage.
13:05Anything that's old is what I like.
13:07The 70s and 80s are my two favorite periods.
13:10Really?
13:10You'll see that throughout the home.
13:12A lot of my expression does come from family.
13:15My grandma's house, the house I grew up in as a child.
13:19Like, bits and pieces of my house have those touches
13:22because it brings back good memories to me.
13:24Oh, my gosh.
13:26Look at this stuff.
13:28Everything in my house is thrifted, too.
13:29I don't buy anything new.
13:32Look at you.
13:34But now you bought this house like this.
13:37Or did it look like this? Tell me.
13:38Okay.
13:39So this room is all original.
13:41I did not do this.
13:43This was done by an interior designer in 1976,
13:45and I have just added to it.
13:48I like to say that I'm restoring the home.
13:50Okay.
13:50Because it used to be pink in here,
13:52and when I moved in for some reason, it was all painted white.
13:55Oh.
13:55So I painted it back to pink.
13:57Okay, so how did you find this place?
14:00The story is a true alignment for me.
14:03Okay.
14:03I was visiting my friend in Miami,
14:05and the listing went viral on Zillow Gone Wild for this home.
14:09Zillow Gone Wild?
14:10Yes.
14:11And I was like, I'm already in Miami, so let me just go see it.
14:15And?
14:17And I fell in love.
14:18Hey!
14:19I mean, I get it.
14:20Yeah.
14:21If pink is your life, maybe you just don't think it's weird.
14:25Right?
14:25Exactly.
14:26Was the window shapes and everything?
14:27Was it shaped like that?
14:28I haven't touched anything in here.
14:30Are you kidding?
14:31All I did was add my stuff.
14:33This is called the rotunda.
14:34The woman who used to live here, her name was Barbara.
14:36She called this her genie bottle.
14:38That's what it reminds me of.
14:40This is actually the comfiest couch in the house.
14:42And was this here already?
14:43When you squish into it, this couch is original.
14:45Whoa!
14:48Got a little give.
14:50So you do spend time here?
14:52Yes.
14:52Just like a cocktail or TV?
14:53So that TV still works.
14:55That was also original.
14:57Are you kidding?
14:58You can't recreate rooms like this today.
15:01This couch is 50 years old.
15:02This carpet is 50 years old.
15:04And look at how beautiful it is.
15:06Okay, so do you know anything more about, like,
15:08who lived here before you?
15:09It was a married couple.
15:11Oh, okay.
15:11But, like, since 1976?
15:13Since the beginning.
15:14Wow.
15:14They lived here.
15:15They both passed.
15:16Okay, you ready to come see more?
15:17Yes, I am.
15:18Let's do it.
15:19Now I want you to go to the first door on your left.
15:22All right.
15:22This is what I call my 80s room.
15:26Oh, my God!
15:27Oh!
15:29Welcome.
15:30Oh, wow.
15:33Rad.
15:35Take it all in.
15:36Oh, my gosh.
15:37Southern belt.
15:38Rotary phone.
15:39Oh, you love the 80s.
15:42This is nice.
15:45Originally, this was all beige.
15:47Oh.
15:47And I'm just not a beige girl.
15:50Beige.
15:51This was the husband's office.
15:53Oh.
15:53And this was his getaway,
15:55because the wife was like me and loved pink.
15:58Wow.
15:59Now I want to show you my bedroom.
16:01This is not your bedroom.
16:02This is not my bedroom.
16:03Now we're going to the 70s.
16:06Follow me.
16:07Yes, ma'am.
16:08Oh!
16:11This ain't pink.
16:12I know.
16:13It's so green.
16:20Oh, it's green.
16:22I know.
16:22Surprise, because I am a pink girl.
16:26Oh.
16:26And I have this bright green room.
16:29I like this.
16:31Oh, my gosh.
16:32It's up on a stage.
16:33Watch your step.
16:34And this is my dream round bed.
16:36I've always wanted a round bed.
16:38This wasn't original.
16:39I got this.
16:40But it fits in perfectly.
16:41It was meant for this space.
16:44Whoa.
16:45This is shockingly different from the rest of the house.
16:48I know.
16:49Although it still fits in, because it's very ornate.
16:53Was this the main bedroom back in the day?
16:56This was the main bedroom.
16:57And they chose green because it was supposed to be a calming color.
17:00And this is where both the husband and wife were.
17:03So it was a mutually chosen color.
17:06It wasn't all pink.
17:07Green is calming.
17:08I like to think that my voice is green.
17:11No!
17:13Okay.
17:13So wait.
17:14Was this that smooshy wallpaper?
17:16What do you call that?
17:16So they're not wallpapered.
17:18They're padded walls.
17:19It's French silk that's on the walls.
17:21Did you put that in?
17:23No.
17:23This was original.
17:24Girl, this is amazing.
17:27Did you do this?
17:28This is original.
17:29This is called a tented ceiling.
17:32I wanted to keep everything original as possible,
17:35to keep it as authentic as possible.
17:37And also because the daughter was the one who was selling the place.
17:40And she specifically wanted to sell to somebody that wasn't going to gut it and change it.
17:46I wonder what it would have looked like if they did just strip it down.
17:50She's angry.
17:51I made her mad.
17:51That just makes my stomach drive.
17:53Like, imagine.
17:55You just fit perfectly into this place.
17:58Really and truly.
17:59Like, every square inch.
18:00Okay.
18:00I want to show you one of my favorite features of this room.
18:03Go straight to where that mirror is.
18:04Okay.
18:05And behind that mirror is actually a door.
18:10It's a bathroom.
18:11Oh, look at this.
18:13Foiled wallpaper.
18:14Oh, I like this.
18:16But even that you did it on this part, I love that.
18:18I didn't do any of that.
18:19I forgot.
18:20It's original.
18:21This is so good.
18:23Okay, let's continue.
18:25Okay.
18:28Excuse me.
18:29Oh, this is not boring.
18:31Welcome to my kitchen.
18:32So this was updated in 2003, 2004.
18:36It was all white when I first moved in.
18:39It was?
18:40Yeah.
18:40It was white in the beige cabinets.
18:43I made everything pink.
18:45Of course.
18:46Okay, now if you follow me.
18:47Yes.
18:47Through this door, we are back in the living room.
18:50Right where we began.
18:52Back in the living area.
18:53I am familiar.
18:55Amy, you've preserved the owner's original vision.
18:59And that's quite special.
19:00If people like you do not say yes, places like this disappear.
19:05I feel like I'm keeping her legacy alive while also living my dream.
19:09Oh, I love this.
19:11I thank you for everything.
19:12This was perfect.
19:13Of course.
19:14Enjoy.
19:15Enjoy.
19:17Is the wild dial tickled pink by pretty and pink?
19:20The home 70s design filtered through Annie's vintage aesthetic makes what's old new again.
19:27Preserving 50-year-old interiors so well, it feels like stepping back in time?
19:33That's next-level commitment.
19:35And that pink rotunda wraps you in unapologetic bubblegum wildness.
19:43With these two homes bursting at the seams with uniqueness and flair, the stage is theirs alone to see whose
19:50wild outshines the other.
19:52But before we learn which house will take home the trophy, let's see if our listing has had any luck
19:57getting sold.
19:59Infinite Skies Retreat is still waiting for the right fire, but hopefully it will land one soon.
20:05Time to see which of these two homes is the wildest.
20:09Did Infinite Skies Retreat soar to the top spot?
20:13Or did pretty and pink blush its way to victory?
20:17And the wild winner is...
20:23Infinite Skies Retreat!
20:25Hey, Adam. How are ya?
20:27So good to see you again.
20:29I sent you a little something in the mail. Did you happen to get it?
20:32I did. I've been dying to open this box.
20:34Die no longer. It's time to open that box.
20:38Whoa!
20:41I have confetti everywhere.
20:43Oh, I love this job.
20:45Oh, my goodness gracious.
20:49Congratulations, Adam. Your home is the wildest.
20:52While a home doused in pink is bold, this high-flying hideaway didn't just take inspiration from aviation.
21:00It greets you with a full-on airplane at the door with airline seats, a flight simulator, and legit cockpit
21:08up front.
21:09It's immersive, theatrical, and head-above-the-clouds wild.
21:13Yay! Thank you so much, Jack.
21:17Don't worry. There's plenty of wilds still to come.
21:21I bought a ruin for $2,500, five acres.
21:26Girl.
21:27Al Capone's bookkeeper.
21:29Yes.
21:29Stayed here.
21:30Yes.
21:30Oh, girl. This house has some stories.
