U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has refused to step down after Labour suffered major setbacks in the latest elections. Calling the results “tough” and admitting voters remain frustrated, Starmer said Labour failed to provide enough hope and optimism for the future.

Despite mounting political pressure and criticism over the party’s performance, he insisted the defeat would only strengthen his determination to “change the country.”
The election blow has intensified debate over Labour’s direction, leadership strategy, and whether Starmer can regain public confidence ahead of future national contests in Britain’s increasingly volatile political landscape.

00:06We have lost brilliant Labour representatives across the country.
00:12These are people who put so much into their communities, so much into our party and our movement.
