Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer MP, says that "the battle of our times is the battle between patriotic Labour Party, Labour government and the division of Reform". His comments follow his personal intervention in convincing the Labour Party to block a potential leadership rival, Andy Burnham, from standing in a by-election that could have seen his return to Westminster. 00:00The battle of our times is the battle between patriotic Labour Party, Labour government, and the division of reform.
00:10There's no doubt about that, and I've been very clear in my conference speech and on several occasions about that.
00:15In that battle, we're all fighting this.
00:18All members of the Labour Party, all supporters of the Labour Party, many beyond it.
00:22And that's how we will win that battle.
00:25But the next test is the May elections, where in Scotland we've got the chance to become the government, to kick out the SNP, who've got a terrible record.
00:35We want to take that chance.
00:37In Wales, we want to continue with the Welsh government, working with a government in Westminster, rather than a government under the last government,
00:44which were working against Wales and the Welsh government, and of course for local councils up and down the country.
00:49All members, all supporters, everybody knows what's at stake here, which is improving the lives of millions of people by winning those elections.
00:57And that's what we will do.
00:59Earn every vote, go out, make the case, and fight together.
