00:12Greetings comrades, here from Beijing a military court sentenced the former Chinese defense
00:18minister Wayne Fengen and Li Chengu to death sentence with a two-year suspension.
00:26This according to the ruling, both were found guilty of corruption's offense related to bribery.
00:34The court decision did not specify the amounts involved in the cases. The sentence also include
00:42the deprivation of their political rights for their life and the total confiscations of their assets.
00:50After a two-year suspension period the sentence will automatically be commuted to life imprisonment
01:00without the possibility of parole. These are the most severe sanctions imposed in high-ranking military
01:10officers since the start of the anti-corruption campaign launched in 2012 under the leadership of the
01:20president Xi Jinping which has brought multiple levels of the country's military and political structure
