00:13key updates. So let's get started with today's top stories.
00:20Our first story, Sail Raur Kela empowers women through organic farming training.
00:26Sail Raur Kela promoted sustainable livelihoods through an organic farming workshop organized
00:31under its CSR initiative in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology, Raur Kela.
00:36The workshop focused on empowering women from nearby villages through training in environmentally
00:41responsible farming practices. Participants received practical guidance on vermicompost preparation,
00:48biopesticide formulation, mushroom cultivation and soil health management. The initiative aimed to
00:54create livelihood opportunities while encouraging eco-friendly agricultural practices and reducing
01:00dependence on chemical farming methods. Through this CSR intervention, Sail reinforced its commitment
01:06to women empowerment, sustainable agriculture and rural development.
01:10Moving ahead to our next story, NTPC to set up STEM labs in Meghalaya government schools.
01:16NTPC announced the establishment of STEM laboratories in 27 government schools in Meghalaya's
01:22Rebhoi district under its CSR initiative. A memorandum of agreement was signed with the district
01:28administration to promote scientific learning and innovation among students. The project will be
01:33implemented through NTPC's Bongai Gao unit. The initiative is expected to strengthen science,
01:39technology, engineering and mathematics education by providing students with modern and practical learning
01:45facilities. Helping improve access to quality education in government schools.
01:50Our next story, Ames Gohati gets advanced neurosurgery facility with CSR support.
01:56Ames Gohati unveiled an advanced neurosurgical operation theatre facility developed with CSR support
02:02worth 6.5 crore rupees from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. The state-of-the-art facility includes
02:08modern neurosurgical equipment designed to improve precision, patient safety and surgical outcomes in complex
02:15brain and spine procedures. Officials stated that the facility will significantly strengthen super
02:20specialty healthcare services across the northeast region and reduce the burden on patients seeking
02:25advanced medical treatment outside the region. Next, Haryana seeks CSR support for haemophilia patient
02:32treatment. The Haryana government has sought corporate CSR support to help fund treatment for nearly
02:381100 registered haemophilia patients in the state. With the annual treatment cost for a single patient
02:44ranging between 7 to 8 lakh rupees, the health and family welfare department emphasized the importance
02:49of strategic partnerships with the private sector to ensure uninterrupted access to life-saving
02:55medication. Officials highlighted that CSR in healthcare should be viewed not only as a statutory
03:01obligation but also as a collaborative effort to strengthen public healthcare delivery and reduce financial
03:07burden on patients. Moving to our final story, Finovation and Sandvik upgrade rural health centre
03:13in Orissa. Finovation in collaboration with Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology India Private Limited
03:19successfully completed the upgradation of a primary health centre in Suwakati, Kionjar district of Orissa. The
03:27initiative focused on improving healthcare infrastructure, enhancing sanitation facilities, modernizing medical services and
03:34strengthening healthcare delivery for the local community. The project also supported capacity
03:38building for healthcare staff and aimed to improve access to quality healthcare services in the
03:43underserved rural region. The initiative reflected a strong commitment towards strengthening public healthcare
03:49infrastructure and community wellbeing.
