00:04you're watching discovery on demand
00:12so when we left new york a lot of people think that i stopped building bikes that's the furthest
00:17thing from the truth i've probably built more bikes uh since i left new york than i did when
00:23i was in new york i never stopped building bikes and i probably never stopped period
00:36so
00:38so
01:09good all right man i'll see you tomorrow all right man red safe
01:13have a good night jimbo thanks you too paulie
01:36so is the ferrier coming today actually tomorrow i couldn't today we have grayball
01:41what time is grayball one o'clock so i'll finish the animals and then uh i guess i'll swing by
01:49and
01:49pick up you guys and we'll go together you're heading out now or are you gonna go no i'm gonna
01:53go i gotta get going i think this has been a great move especially for paul because
01:59he loves the smaller shop you know he's got this quaint little shop there this you know basically
02:07little hobby farm that we can you know take in these animals but for pa it's like a dream again
02:13you know he's got animals back he went back to really his old school roots of building the way
02:18he wanted to and he loves it you know he leaves for work happy every day he comes home happy
02:24it's
02:24really been a an incredible transition for him in terms of just um how much more relaxed he is
02:31so we had an event over the occ roadhouse to celebrate our veterans brian stern from grayball
02:35rescue was receiving an award that night later on the evening when the event was over brian and i met
02:40up we started talking and i had mentioned to him about a bike and how it would help bring awareness
02:44to his organization and what they do yeah so it should be brian and a bunch of other people up
02:48there my name is brian stern i'm the ceo and founder of grayball rescue we're a donor funded
02:54veteran-led international rescue organization we rescue americans and allies not just americans but
03:00that's our priority from war zones conflict zones kidnappings hostages and also natural disasters
03:06so we're about 140 people all in we have people all over the place we have people deployed right now
03:10we work all over the world uh anything you see on tv that's a crappy place where people might be
03:16in
03:16trouble we're either been there already there right now or on our way right now uh like that so we
03:22are really busy entirely donor funded we do not charge money carrillo over there he's the first
03:27american victim of war crimes alive since world war ii we broke him out of jail from russia the russians
03:31had him tortured him for 37 days broke him out of captivity which is the first time that that ever
03:36happened to russia and for fun we did that 11 more times that's us i'm going to we'll show the
03:40video
03:40which because everything we say sounds kind of not believable which is why we record everything
03:45because we have the receipt for everything that we do my team and i have done over 600 missions all
03:50over the world we rescued over 7 000 people from hurricane ian to maui to afghanistan to ukraine
03:57russia israel gaza lebanon all over the place sudan we like to say that we work at the speed of
04:03need
04:03when americans are stuck or in trouble someone has to show up i would be dead if it wasn't for
04:09brian
04:10who saved my life knowing that we've like we've saved these people from something that
04:15being caught in a war conflict it's uh it's very very rewarding feels amazing to bring american
04:21citizens home our countrymen these are our neighbors grable can't walk out of the parking
04:25lot without money without donations they can't fly overseas and help america and they can't pull a
04:29hurricane victim out without gas chainsaws vehicles and donations pay for all that we can have all the
04:36things that we need but if i can't afford to thank you yes it just sounds like a good movie
04:40you know it
04:42sounds like something that we watch on tv and that's the one thing that i never ever ever ever want
04:46to do
04:47when somebody needs help is be a spectator what you do is just so incredibly um heartwarming and uh brave
04:57and everything else and emotional to be able to see that um it's really where it's an honor for us
05:02to
05:02be here truthfully so we've done tv for 18 years i mean this is really heartfelt here you know i'm
05:09psyched
05:09you know what i mean like this is really cool and when we do stuff too we have to be
05:14into it you know
05:15what i'm saying we have to feel that this is something that we are honored to do in a sense
05:22you know
05:36yeah well you know we got back to the shop um the guys were there and i really wanted these
05:42guys to know
05:43exactly what gray bull does because i think that you know if you just mention you're doing a bill
05:49as opposed to explaining you know what's involved in the build and everything for me you get more
05:55into it once i gave them the kind of debriefing of what these guys do you know we just started
06:01building a bike at the end of the week when everybody starts to get paid here i'm keeping
06:05the money going the money going straight to them well tell them i said
06:13pretty good though emotional yeah yeah yeah yeah that's great yeah people do that all right we
06:20got to go to work well you know me and jim have built bikes quite a few bikes to be
06:23honest with you
06:24since we moved down here in florida but you know when you're doing a project like gray bull kind of
06:30get the band back together and because this is a lot more involved smt their wheels uh they come with
06:37the tire on you don't have to worry about marring the rim all up mounting the tire
06:45i'll probably put her on this
06:50power tools you got a power tool
06:51we do uh we'll rail over right by the statue right to your left we're pulling there right
06:57we got everything we got everything how you doing good good to see you yeah
07:01we'll see you oh yeah we've been working out
07:07the shop lights up on mikey's here you know it's a different atmosphere uh for me it's a different
07:12feeling because you know i need somebody to play with and he he's the most fun so um when he's
07:20here
07:22most of the time he's hard to find but when he is here
07:28he just lets off a glow you know let's go over this exhaust i i want to do like a
07:33long exhaust
07:33like come out of here come come back to about here yeah it'd be cool if i did like something
07:39where it
07:39came down like this and kind of bent over the the cone a little bit and then i can straight
07:44pipe it and
07:44then kind of follow that i was thinking maybe like a tear drop uh slash cut on the pipe you
07:50know give it
07:51like a an aggressive look probably make it look like it's you know going fast sitting still you
07:56know okay do it like it's in a tube drop there we go you get a little bit of leverage
08:01so we like
08:02finagle it around before i get through
08:07oh man some electrolytes here
08:16so it's my first day on this build i'm just kind of looking at this frame in my head i'm
08:20just like i'm
08:21pulling out that drawer of archive like okay what pipes do i want to build it's challenging when
08:25when you're doing that stuff on the fly like we're hand making most of these parts right here in house
08:30so what do you think the hardest bike we ever built was let me ask you a question and tell
08:34you the
08:35answer yeah why don't you just give me a hint uh dead people dead people oh the hearse bike oh
08:43yeah so
08:44he still uses that i know he does but tell me that wasn't i'm so man was that crazy i
08:49just he just
08:50text me you know what's funny we had to test that we've had like three or four different front ends
08:53on that i remember johnny read that he was the biggest heaviest one in the shop um being back
08:58here with with some of the guys um it's it's really a lot of fun we haven't been all together
09:03in the
09:03same room in quite some time and um you know i first came here was it was kind of story
09:08time you
09:09know we have a million of them um and just reminiscing about some of the crazy stuff we did some
09:14of the
09:14funny stuff we did um but you know at some point we got to get to work how are you
09:21going to get out
09:22those stitches that's the reason why it might hurt a little bit so working with paul now versus back in
09:37new york it's different the stress level for everybody is is not existence for the most part
09:44we just enjoy working together having fun he's teaching me things i'm not a bike builder by trade
09:51so he's been showing me what's going on we've been building together just doing really cool stuff and
09:55working with some cool people down here in florida that we've met a lot more steps this piece next is
10:00going to be really a pain in the ass it is worse than all this because you my friend are
10:05an imbecile
10:08people always ask what do you like about working with paul is he really like to see on tv i'm
10:13like
10:13no he's how great how great was jackie gleason so i think what we need to do is make a
10:19plate in here
10:20okay this way come around and fill in this fill in this area right and then anthony made an oil
10:28tank
10:29we'll see how the oil tank and the battery box to fill this area because it's stretched so far
10:34yeah it looks real empty in there right uh we're they're working on the front end so uh i i
10:41think
10:41we're doing really good um again anthony's building a gas tank that's kind of like i think that's an area
10:47that none of us are qualified in other than nancy so uh but the fender's not done we got a
10:53lot of
10:53fabrication to do on that fender it's a real long bike uh the frame's been stretched so uh so yeah
11:01i'm getting back to work
11:15my name's anthony keeling i'm in a company called tinworks inc i've been helping paul for about two
11:20or three years now off and on i build frames for them and stuff and today i'm helping them trying
11:25to get this bike done helping out and i'm building the gas tank now in the oil tank battery box
11:30it's
11:31going to be a pretty nice build when it's done
11:45why do you all make that look when i walk in like there's something because we're happy to see
11:49you you're never happy all morning everybody where's joan where's joan oh yeah yeah where's
11:54joan we hope she got hit i don't know but i already missed her really yeah so joan paul's wife
12:00most people don't know she's actually the ceo of orange kennedy chopper so she keeps us running
12:05smooth and keeps us on point i mean a lot of times she'll stop by the shop to see what
12:09paul and i are
12:09up to or not up to she makes sure we're on point with delivering the bikes on time and what
12:14the
12:14client is looking for what do you think mike we could drive it yeah we got a lot of people
12:20working
12:20on it all at once so it's like the old days you know yeah well that's what i feel like
12:25i just walked
12:26in i'm like wait wait wait i'm in a time warp you know
12:33it's awesome that's a great time right you know what i was just gonna say it actually fits
12:40the whole thing perfectly yeah i like it a lot you know you know me i'd be
12:45it's almost the same way when you're looking down this way the tank's a little wider but it's oh it's
12:50so close really great job yeah no it really does it's a great job speaking of custom how's my custom
12:56bike coming along paul you don't have some place to be you got to feed the chickens maybe or the
13:00cow
13:01we don't have chickens just for the record oh get them
13:11where's jimbo hey don't sneak up on me i'm sorry uh who did what he's got mikey me i'm working
13:17with mikey on the rear oh great me and you'll drop out all right all right there set first oh
13:24what this
13:25let me do this let me do this after they get done
13:37we're having like a slow start this morning i think it's mainly because of michael
13:41he's late this morning two days in a row one more time i'm gonna have to can
13:46him any conversation with the camera guy you better get on the stick all right
13:55good pep dog oh you know you're all right
14:03paul had some surgery done to his hand and had some stitches so the doctor is supposed to be stopping
14:07by which is good because to get paul to go to the doctor and to get us to do anything
14:11when we're done
14:11working is tough it's hot oh i drove an hour to get here did you really yeah i must love
14:17you a lot
14:18i'm like a coward when it comes to this like when they cut it and they stitch it didn't bother
14:23me
14:23at all but now that it looks great yeah yeah but look at how this has grown over that how
14:29you're
14:29going to get at those stitches that's the reason why it might hurt a little bit you sure you want
14:34to do it here yeah it's your hand not mine yeah you're good yeah no man it's fine let's do
14:40it mike
14:40you're working here yeah yeah how'd this happen you don't want to let anyone know no i don't talk
14:46about it i don't i don't want to talk i think my father's getting to the age where like he's
14:50causing
14:50himself embarrassing accidents but doesn't want to tell anybody so he came in one day with a uh with a
14:56a real gash in his hand and he kind of didn't want to tell anybody how it happened you know
15:01but it's
15:02sitting there like frankenstein's uh you know stitches in his head so it's kind of hard not to give him
15:07a
15:07hard time about what's going on kind of like the uh the giant dent in the front of his truck
15:12you know
15:13he blasted something with that he i don't think he wants to tell anyone they might take his license
15:19away you know i got a brown paper bag and bring it to you you gotta give it the old
15:24college try and
15:25every time i pull it he's angry thank you see yeah boom he said it what do you do if
15:31we go to your place
15:32over there what are you gonna do i just i'll probably open it up a little bit open it up
15:37yeah
15:38i have to look at this it's here now we'll just let we'll let it all right hold on we're
15:44just gonna
15:44let's clean it up here we made a wd wd got tons of it i need you can you worry
15:49we don't have the
15:49news part right no right i'll bill you later all right let me know if you need me all right
15:55i'll see
15:55you later i love you thank you love you too appreciate it he's my boy i gotta make house calls
16:00i gotta make house
16:01calls it is what it is that's what you do you take care of your friends
16:17um as far as the bars on this bike um drew made these bars actually makes quite a few different
16:25sets of uh handlebars and this one set of bar was very unique and i really liked it so i
16:33had asked
16:33them to fabricate a set of those for a gray ball ah i'm not digging it man because it's these
16:46are going
16:46up in the air i wanted them to come down this way because anything and uh you know we got
16:52it on put them
16:53on and they just didn't cut it uh first of all the stretching the rake and everything uh the position
17:00of the handlebars just and whatnot it didn't work so uh so we had to go to option b which
17:06was you know
17:07set a kind of pull back drag bars uh and even then we had to make like eight inch spacers
17:13to bring them
17:14up over the tank when you're building custom bikes of every frame that we do has got like a different
17:19rake
17:19on it normally when i build my zeus bars it's for like a stock brake so i just went ahead
17:23and built
17:23them for that thinking i could just you know change the angles and they're cool like on a stock
17:27rake but with that 40 degree angle it just wasn't looking right you know what i'm saying it was
17:31just like real sharp edges and like everything on the bike was kind of like smooth so it wasn't really
17:36flowing what'd you cut yourself yesterday all right you ready brother yes sir yes sir not you nope you my
18:02friend oh it's the little things that make you laugh you know what i mean how's that look centered
18:10just tack that corner in there if i get a shock you're getting punched man
18:17ow oh all right get a little more tack not not on that side just on the inside
18:24okay you know what i mean bro roll it i think it's got to go over that way a little
18:30bit but i think
18:30it's centered right downhill and over the hill of course he doesn't put his glasses on right now
18:35no all right you know what he's the new guy you gotta ride yeah i gotta you know put my
18:40time in
18:41he's got to get his initiation man he i'm easy on him i guess so
19:07it's already over it's already over yeah all right let's see back to the drawing board
19:18where's michael public bring it over here mike
19:32you always prepare for these things but it never ever works out
19:40me and mike you have kind of a chemistry you know so no matter what we do together we have
19:44fun
19:45so the sissy bar entailed quite a bit of work i'm down
19:51i'm down you're gonna you're gonna burn someone's eyebrows off you know what happens we've made a
19:56bunch of sissy bars together and usually we get halfway and have to start from the beginning
20:01this is one of the rare times we didn't have to so that was kind of an accomplishment right no
20:08it was
20:08good it was good it was good i enjoyed oh great i don't want to tell him thanks mike appreciate
20:13you
20:14brother yep you be you too i'll see you um in hell
20:20so now that the paint and powder coat for the gray bull bike is out it's time for a little
20:23r and
20:24r a little us time so paul's got a friend who owns an airboat place with crocodiles and other
20:29stuff so it should be pretty interesting so uh we're gonna go out check that out and have some fun
20:34my name's david schlum i'm one of the owners out here at wild bills airboat tours uh paul senior
20:39he's been coming out here for a couple years hanging out with me i got one of his bikes in
20:43my house he's a really stand-up guy this is a day out for us uh we usually almost on
20:50every show
20:51we do we take a day where we have a good time uh so we decided to come over here
20:57with dave
21:12you know what coming here today it's so funny because it's really peaceful and it's just a
21:17break from you know everyday life between the shop you know the business side working out the farm
21:23which i love you know all of a sudden you come out here and you forget about everything it's just
21:26a
21:27great break i have to admit it i was a little bit scared of paul driving the boat because uh
21:31we've all
21:32seen his truck you know and uh he has no fear whatsoever like he doesn't it's amazing you
21:39would think as you get older you would get a little bit you know more fearful of things i
21:43think he's actually gotten worse when it comes to that zero fear just hit it we all came out of
21:48our
21:49seats but it was so much fun this place was always an adventure we brought haley in i've been watching
22:03her on her instagram for quite some time now she's pretty amazing person she does she tells you like
22:09it is she's a little raw what she does what i admire about her is she she'll get her front
22:15end that's
22:15bent and twisted and rusted and she'll get her old rim or old whatever it may be and she'll fix
22:22it
22:22when the girl comes in i'm gonna have her work with you christian she's like really good with
22:26stringers you know look you ever see her on on uh he showed me he showed me the uh i
22:31checked her
22:31i came in and uh they put me to work with um with haley and i wasn't very familiar with
22:38her working
22:38together and she's she's you know she got the trucker mouth going cool girl this goes like
22:46you're amazing all right i would have thought for sure they'd be like well listen i might not be
22:53right no that's that's how many choppers do you think you've built a lot oh crap we did over a
23:01thousand just on the show yeah it's always the most dicey thing is putting the springs on haley's
23:08fitting right in like one of the team she's really good she's done front ends before in springer so we
23:13knew that would be a a good place to have her start yeah she's knocking it out yeah so this
23:18morning
23:18we came in uh haley and i were working on getting the front break totally situated um a lot of
23:24spacing
23:24it's a little a lot of math involved actually um so we're we're just about done with that so yeah
23:30we're off to a good start a little better than yesterday i would say i found bikes is something
23:35like instinctively i couldn't put my finger on it i just had to be on a bike i knew that
23:39it was
23:39something i had to do but all the bikes like all the stock bikes for whatever reason that was like
23:44some intuition or something that was going on where i didn't like any of the stock bikes either so
23:48he notices what i'm doing which a lot of people they don't notice that kind of stuff they just want
23:53to
23:53see paint and chrome and then that's what constitutes a build but obviously there's no
23:57chroming really around me and so we got to make do with what we got and we're making our own
24:01parts
24:01and uh he gets it he sees that hurry up go fast dude look at that spring
24:07uh so today jim and i are just working on some odds and ends i got some wiring i'm doing
24:20uh just making sure everything's you know tight locked uh ready to go all right so i think we got
24:26most of it yeah jim had received the uh the paint yesterday and he noticed there was a little
24:32difference in the in the shade of the gray so we called paul in see what he thought of it
24:38when i came
24:38in the tanks were in here and the color gray that was on the gas tanks opposed to the bars
24:45and the other
24:46stuff that we used for accent uh on the front end and the in the primary uh was totally different
24:52color well the tins and stuff came in yesterday the tins oh they look amazing but i think we have
24:58an
24:58issue so let me grab one i can see it already yep that's the issue
25:08ken did another amazing job on the paint it's amazing let me grab you a piece so we can hold
25:14it next
25:14to it so you can see what the that guy is just ah insane he's like a professional well yeah
25:20he's
25:21like i don't know how we got him yeah yeah right what's he doing a piece you can hold next
25:27to it
25:28you can definitely see the difference no my god it's way different yeah it is it's it's too much to
25:33leave it's a nice gray but it's just not the same gray but there's so much of it on the
25:36bike you're
25:37going to notice it um there was you know a few things we had to take off the primary uh
25:44handlebars
25:44risers uh part of the springer front end um battery box uh all to get re-powder coated with
25:51this new powder color that we're we're using with the new powder coat why don't you give them a coin
25:55yeah they're right down the street hopefully they're near there and we can do something with it
26:01i mean it doesn't seem like we got to take that this that's going to be the biggest pain yeah
26:07front end
26:08we'll just just the those the spring side and the front end bars risers primary
26:15thank you for calling cq coaches how can i help you hey it's jim from occc how are you doing
26:20good how are you good thanks i got you on speaker phone with paul and christian hey so we just
26:26got some
26:27tins in for a bike we're building and the powder coat we had done previously to the bike is not
26:34matching at
26:34all it's just way too different so i wanted to see if you guys could come down with your your
26:38sample
26:39pack and and we can see if we can match it up and get get this fixed yeah absolutely we
26:43can have that
26:44way right now yeah uh give you a heads up so you can think about it on your way over
26:48it's gonna have
26:49to be a quick turn and burn like tomorrow yeah that's not a problem yeah cool yeah head on over
26:54you
26:54know we're at right that was easy you should have said today once they get here we take this stuff
27:00off
27:01we could start putting this stuff on yeah i mean we could start taking the stuff off now or we
27:05just
27:05want to get here so what do you want to hit first you want to take all the i think
27:09the bar controls
27:09the stuff off we'll just have to do a little by little because these bolts don't come all the way
27:13out am i correct which ones these these do what they do yeah all right yeah barely so how many
27:23times
27:23did you put the bike together hey we're still not hey how are you how are you good to see
27:32you guys
27:32thanks for coming down so like any custom build with a car a bike a house or whatever it may
27:36be
27:37there's going to be issues the powder coat and the paint the gray versions just didn't match there was
27:41too much of an inconsistency to let it go so we had to get another powder coater to come in
27:46and fix it
27:47and do it really quick unfortunately cq coatings did that the real way to do it is do the powder
27:51coat and have the paint not match the powder coat but we didn't do it that light that's all right
27:55so that'll work that color will work yeah yeah i can get this today from our supplier i'll pick it
27:59up and we can have the parts done by tonight yeah that'll work i'll give you a call if something
28:03changes that's great that's great now we appreciate you guys running and getting done so quick
28:09yeah let's get the part over with we've got to go yeah we got plenty of room right it's got
28:14to go
28:15like this yeah yeah here just put this in yeah if i hold like that
28:27think part remember it would slide off of there so you got to have like dead on so me and
28:32christian
28:32were taking the springer part uh not for the first time and uh we're using this this tool that we
28:38used
28:38to use man we used it for years and years back in the old shop even and i was compressing
28:42the spring
28:43that pulls the tension on the springs so that you could release it uh and and take the springs off
28:50and i pulled the the whole stud out where the stud should have stayed just enough should it came off
28:55so there was nothing holding that spring in and he still had it compressed and i noticed that the
28:59spring was bowing uh christian started moving away he said uh you need to hurry up and uh when i
29:07looked at
29:07the the spring on the triple between the triple trees was um almost bent like a u and i mean
29:15there
29:15was a lot a lot of pressure underneath that spring so i tried to get him to go fast fast
29:20fast you know
29:20loosen it get it off and as soon as he said that it let go and uh before i could
29:25even get that totally
29:26out of my mouth the thing went whipping across dude look at that spring i don't want oh my wow
29:34well that'll work you all right holy crap right there's good that thing hit me right in the wrist
29:40bro you all right he's like go fast uh it hit me it hit me in the hand you know
29:48it's i could still
29:49feel it we got a red mark there but i guess it could have been worse i mean that thing
29:52went whipping as
29:53a matter of fact we didn't see where the one piece went jim found it on the floor afterwards that
29:58was the
29:59part that i didn't see we looked up at the ceiling and there's a hole in the ceiling um so
30:04luckily i
30:05mean it would have knocked teeth out could have been at the dentist getting new teeth because the
30:09pressure that that had to be able to almost stick into the ceiling it's funny i'm guessing pretty much
30:17luck out there hey what's going on uh i'll tell you you did a nice job yeah because usually there's
30:32a lot of orange peel in here that's yeah it's very really nice job thanks now that we got the
30:38powder
30:38coat back you know we need to get the we need to get it back together and if something else
30:43unexpectedly
30:43comes up which usually does we could be in trouble bye guys thanks thank you thank the team for us
30:51yeah you know sometimes uh putting a motorcycle together is pretty darn tedious a lot of nuts and bolts
30:57and knickknacks that you got to put together and it takes time and it's it's not exactly a big hurdle
31:03but um you know it's something that needs to be done and we're having a lot of fun here doing
31:09it
31:09to even get this side if this side straight uh get it lined up on this side that ain't bad
31:16oh nice
31:17you're probably old right it looks pretty good actually yeah we were talking about the other day
31:21remember yeah we're pretty much getting caught up um kind of it's kind of difficult when everybody kind of
31:29sort of kind of works in the same area you're kind of banging to but we we're we've been coming
31:34along we
31:35got the primary pretty much done uh got the covers on there uh al got the light all hooked up
31:40so we
31:41got a little more electric work to do probably another couple at least a couple hours of everything
31:45got to get the oil tank on run the oil lines and and the rest of that stuff but i
31:49think that we're
31:50uh i think we're on schedule i don't like to say that because every time i say that
31:56something goes wrong but but i think we're okay i mean everybody's believe it or not even know we're on
32:00top of each other everybody's getting their part done yeah it's pretty it's it's cool how like
32:07every time you put a piece on like the headlight changes it you know the seat changes it that good
32:13they're not to be as well they're definitely gonna like this
32:20look like it's cake you know we're gonna do right sounds good
32:35oh that's not even get reserved
32:37you did good mike thanks
32:49are we just gonna friggin send it or what we're gonna send it bro
32:56send it the only way isn't it i think i'm afraid
33:15yeah so we got the bike off the lift sounding great those rims look great man
33:21yeah wow the rims really smt wheels look good boy it looked good um christian took it down the
33:28road and back just to see how the clutch and everything which which was good uh the issue
33:33which actually we've seen as soon as we got it off the lift the steering needs to be uh shortened
33:39because it's hitting the gas tank so what we're gonna have to do is it's an old school chopper thing
33:44because you never really used to put stops on there you're either drill and tap it or
33:49put a chain on there or whatnot so um once you know once we figure out where that's got to
33:54go and
33:55drill it um hopefully uh take it out one more time i think i'm gonna take it up one more
33:59time not a
34:00christian did it and uh and and it should be good for the unveil marni hopefully but as long as
34:07there's
34:07nothing else holding in front of graybowl and brian and their team as well as our team and uh it
34:13was
34:13amazing uh we've built a lot of bikes for different organizations over the years uh but this uh this
34:25graybowl bike is really something near and dear and something really uh special to all of us i think
34:51we're doing the steering chains uh making sure everything's good for the unveil everything's
34:56running all right and um we really you know we and we're used to it you know from back in
35:01the day
35:02we were always under some sort of crunch or deadline you know i'm used to it personally i think mikey
35:06is
35:06as well um and so we just worked and you just keep going until you get it done and we
35:11did
35:13you got one shot to do this why because where you drill and tap this hole on both sides
35:21yeah but you could adjust the chain with the link yeah but if you go if you go too long
35:25that's a long
35:26link then you could go too long then it's no one to hold it to where you want it and
35:31then and then
35:32right punch it out and if you do it it up then you go the other way but then you're
35:37going
35:37cut this turn yeah right i can't do the left i can't turn
35:45like loose no just loosen that a little bit yeah you could do that too flattened it more with the
35:50spacers you use the spacers and the chain you know what i'm saying in a vise where's mike
35:57three four five six man that right bam right there well you know it's really nice and mellow working
36:05with my dad now you know instead of uh yelling at me he just kind of breaks my a little
36:10bit
36:11and um it's really nice because he's very old now you know so i think he needs me in some
36:17way
36:17shape or form i don't know how i'm worthless on a bull with the book with the uh motorcycle and
36:23the
36:23when the motorcycle's in the fabricating you know but um uh i just really enjoy being around it now
36:32give that the christian sure we'll go to uh me no
36:46oh
36:49oh
37:02oh
37:15so the bike like most of the times time was of the essence and we were running a little behind
37:20but we were going to get it done so we were able to finish it which is good because it
37:24allows us to
37:24go out and see some of the vendors here at the saint peak bike fest we had some friends here
37:28like gray
37:28bull jay from operation healing heroes and uh talon from cq who's our new powder coater so it was good
37:34to be able to go out spend some time with them uh and just relax a little bit after getting
37:38the bike
37:38done you know the unveils are always great but that's even better when we get to do them at the
37:42occ roadhouse the reveal was so nerve-wracking to be honest with you because even though you think
37:49that this is an excellent bike and it fits perfectly you still never really know what the client has in
37:55their mind so the gray bull unveil went well uh joan and i got out there got the crowd ready
38:01we brought
38:02brian up brian talked about gray bull joan talked about gray bull and then brian showed everybody a
38:07video it was the first time the video has been made public the gray bull team hadn't seen it they
38:12fired it up everybody turned around from gray bull the crowd was quiet could hear a pin drop because
38:16everybody was paying attention to that video we rolled right into ukraine and that was a humanitarian
38:21crisis unto itself we've done 68 american babies from the war in ukraine oh my baby thank you
38:27everyone babies in a war zone on life support and incubators gives you gray hair several americans
38:35have come back home after being held hostage by russian forces in ukraine i would be dead if it
38:41wasn't for brian he saved my life without brian i would still be there the united states and u.s
38:49citizens need gray bull very simply because more americans are held at risk today than ever before
38:55and no one's coming i like to be able to say we're coming my greatest fears have now come true
39:02which is having to say no we have way more people asking us for help than we can afford and
39:08that's
39:08because we're donor funded if we do not have money we cannot do what we do this operation is uh
39:14logistically
39:15very expensive if there's no donations there's no money to execute uh evacuations or rescues
39:21we can have all the things that we need but if i can't afford to thank you yes
39:25it just sounds like a good movie and that's the one thing that i never ever ever ever want to
39:30do when
39:30somebody needs help is be a spectator
39:35so the video gets done we're pumping everybody up you hear the bike coming uh you hear paul revving
39:41it up coming around the corner he pulls it in it's a long bike it's over 11 feet long so
39:45riding that in
39:46uh paul killed it as always pulled it in front of gray bull and brian and their team as well
39:50as our team
39:51and it was amazing audience was so receptive so i was really glad to see that but as soon as
40:03the bike
40:03pulled out and you saw their faces we knew we nailed this because they could not have been happier with
40:11the bike so it really in the end after all the anxiety turned out to be awesome so after the
40:17unveil
40:18everybody was checking out the bike we invited all of gray bull back over to the shop to talk to
40:22us
40:22and see where the bike was made i think i think it's beautiful i think it's beautiful it definitely
40:27you know balance it's the balance
40:32you know the the thing of it is every bike that we build tells a story and i think that
40:38people that
40:39we've done bikes for 20 years ago so they still have the same bike and they take it to events
40:45you know
40:45it's always an attraction people go to the bike before they go to a nice car core looked at this
40:49and we were just ecstatic something that was an american icon orange county choppers be able to build
40:54something like this bring notoriety to what we do it's been a blessing this is really going to help us
41:00working with orange county choppers this really draws a lot of attention to the charity and once once
41:04we can draw that attention uh once people learn about what we do and why it's necessary that's super
41:10helpful to the charity uh we're we're really grateful and thank you thank you orange county
41:14choppers for picking grateful getting our word out there uh super excited and you absolutely nailed
41:20exactly what we were going for thank you occ great ball wait a minute wait a minute that was louder
41:30than occ
