00:00All right, breaking news, an MRI on OG Ananobi's leg has revealed that he's been diagnosed with a right hamstring
00:06strain
00:07and that he is going to be day-to-day, sources tell ESPN.
00:11Now, he's officially listed as questionable for Game 3 on Friday against Philadelphia.
00:16Now, it happened in the fourth quarter of Game 2. You can see him in the video here.
00:21He grabs the back of his leg, he goes up to try and dunk the ball,
00:25and then he limps around before he takes himself out of the basketball game.
00:29And this could not have happened at a worse time for the Knicks or OG
00:35because he has been the OG for this team, not only for this series, but for the postseason.
00:41Before leaving Game 2, which he finished with 24 points, 5 boards, and 4 steals,
00:47he's been on an absolute heater.
00:49He's been averaging 21 points, almost 8 boards, 2 steals, and 1 block this postseason
00:55on 62-54 at 81 shooting splits.
00:59Knicks fans are sitting here and hoping that this isn't a case of deja vu all over again.
01:07He hurt the same hamstring back in the 2024 semifinals in Game 2,
01:12and that left the door wide open for the Pacers.
01:15The Knicks were also up 2-0 in that series, but ultimately lost in seven games.
01:21Now, OG did try and gut it out in return for that Game 7, but he was pulled just after
01:26a few minutes.
01:27He also missed three weeks earlier in this season because of a left hamstring injury.
01:33But let's go back to Wednesday night's Game 2.
01:36Mike Brown decided to go with Miles McBride to fill the void left by OG down the stretch.
01:43Deuce told our Knicks beat writer for the post, Steph Bondi, that he's extremely comfortable,
01:47and he'll be ready to fill in for Ananobi.
01:51But he also said what we're all thinking right now, and that's that OG's one of the best two-way
01:57players in the league,
01:58so it's tough to replace that.
02:00But you don't replace him with one game.
02:02Oh, shoot.
02:03Three, two, one.
02:06But he also said what we're all thinking right now, and that's that OG's one of the best two-way
02:13players in the league,
02:14so it's tough to replace that, but you don't replace him with one guy.
02:19Everyone is going to have to step up, and he's right.
02:22Everyone's going to have to step up with a 2-0 lead heading down to Philly to try and close
02:27out this series,
02:28Game 3 and Game 4.
