Mother's Day will bring it all: rain and thunderstorms to the South and East, evening storms to the Northeast, cool conditions to Chicago and Minneapolis and dry, hotter weather to the West with coastal relief.

00:04Showers and thunderstorms expected across much of the southern and eastern United States,
00:08especially from Texas through the Ohio Valley and then parts of the southeast.
00:12Cities like Dallas, Louisville, and Nashville could see rain and thunderstorms at times,
00:17while heavier downpours may impact parts of the central Gulf Coast.
00:20D.C., Philly, New York, Boston all will have warm temperatures and start-out dry,
00:25but keep an eye to the sky as showers and storms arrive by Sunday night.
00:29Across the northern plains and Great Lakes, it's a cooler, cozy kind of Mother's Day.
00:33Places like Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Chicago stay on the cooler side,
00:37with highs mainly in the 50s to lower 60s.
00:40For much of the west, it's sunshine with building heat.
00:43High pressure keeps conditions dry, with inland temperatures climbing into the 80s, 90s,
00:47even triple digits in the deserts.
00:49So finding ways to stay cool and hydrated will be key.
00:52Maybe head to the coast where cities like San Francisco and San Diego stay comfortable.
