00:00If you're free on a Saturday morning, head to the Wala Car Booth Market in SS15 and stop by Barbara
00:07Magdalene Padmini Chivapadhi's stall.
00:09Barbara, affectionately known as Auntie Barbara, is recognized by many for her warm smile and the plans and fashion accessories
00:17she sells.
00:18Despite a recent ovarian cancer diagnosis, the sunny 68-year-old remains determined to live life to the fullest.
00:27My grandkids are my inspiration to fight my cancer, to live, you know, because I want to see them grow.
00:38They are my inspiration, actually.
00:40Auntie Barbara's cancer has been in remission for two months and she is due for her first checkup soon.
00:46The former administrator lives a quiet life in Subang together with her family, as well as two dogs and seven
00:53cats.
00:54Undergoing cancer treatment, she says, has been difficult, but she is grateful that gardening is helping take her mind off
01:00it.
01:02Sometimes I talk to my plants as well, you know, before I take them to the market.
01:06I say, today I'm taking you to the market. Hopefully someone good looks after you, you know.
