00:01The Australian Government is continuing to insist that it has not and will not assist
00:07these women and children with repatriation efforts, but they are nonetheless on their
00:12way back, as you were just hearing, expected to arrive in Melbourne and Sydney later today.
00:18Now, we did hear from the Education Minister, Jason Clare, this morning, seeking to provide
00:23some reassurance to the Australian community, saying that of the Federal Police, it is not
00:28their first rodeo in terms of monitoring people who have links to ISIS and have come back
00:34to Australia.
00:35Over the last sort of decade or so, there have been dozens of men, women and children with
00:40links to ISIS that have returned to Australia.
00:43Now, we heard from the Federal Police yesterday that they expect to arrest and charge some
00:49of these groups, some of these people within the group, they've been monitoring them while
00:53they've been in these refugee camps in Syria.
00:56And for the children, they're expected to undertake a program to help them integrate into the
01:04community.
01:04These children have seen sorts of things that no child should ever be exposed to.
01:11And it's going to take time for these children to reintegrate into Australian society.
01:17These are the sort of programs that the Australian Federal Police run.
01:22And I would expect that the Federal Police would want to run countering violent extremism programs
01:29with all of the children that return.
01:31Now, Education Minister Jason Clare says it will take some time to sort of process these
01:36children and get them into school.
01:39And as for what might happen to them if their mothers are arrested on returning to Australia,
01:44he says he expects they'll be cared for by other family members.
01:49Now, you can see that the children that are from the U.S.
