00:49Our experts will analyze the evidence and then pass a verdict.
00:53It definitely looks very humanoid in respect to other aliens that we've seen.

01:25Is it possible that beings from another planet could already be walking the Earth?
01:31Some people think the invasion started long ago.
01:34And a recent video sparked a media frenzy when an alien allegedly appeared, of all places, outside a shopping mall.
01:44It's January 1st, 2024.
01:47At 8.30 p.m., police squad cars swarm an unfolding emergency at Miami's Bayside Marketplace Mall.
01:55It's a chaotic scene as an onlooker pulls out his smartphone and records the action from above.
02:02Local resident Ryan Landy was watching from a nearby balcony.
02:06We went out onto our balcony because we heard the screaming.
02:08Police cars started showing up in droves.
02:11People were just screaming and running through the streets, almost getting hit by cars.
02:15We couldn't figure out what they were running from.
02:16They were running for their lives.
02:18This video posted on the Internet shows a frenzy of flashing cop cars and figures scrambling in all directions.
02:26Then, as it was posted online, the video uses emoji hands to show something that looks truly out of this
02:35world.
02:35Did you catch it?
02:36The quality of the video is very poor.
02:39But look again as we slow it down.
02:41It appears to be a giant figure, larger than the cars and people surrounding it, and blurry, as if cloaked
02:49or camouflaged.
02:50And it casts a large shadow, which you can see here.
02:53But watching all of this, we were just really confused and really fascinated.
02:58We were just spending the entire time trying to figure out what was going on, and we really couldn't.
03:04According to people online, this footage seems to show a really tall alien-like figure, around 10 feet or so
03:12tall.
03:12And they thought that that could explain why so many police were called to the mall.
03:17The clips took off and were viewed on social media more than 7 million times.
03:24Media outlets from around the globe report on the public's paranoia over monstrous aliens on the loose in Miami.
03:32Some think that the reason we're seeing more of these aliens is not because they're coming from outer space, but
03:38because they've been here all along.
03:40It's a new concept involving homegrown entities known as crypto-terrestrials.
03:47A crypto-terrestrial is a civilization that, in theory, has existed alongside humanity for millennia.
03:55The idea is that there was some kind of cataclysmic event that wiped most of them off the face of
04:00the Earth.
04:01And the ones that survived are using advanced technology that helps them stay undetected in areas like the very deep
04:08sea or very far underground.
04:11In 2024, two Harvard scholars published a scientific paper that claims the sightings of so-called aliens might actually be
04:20these survivors of a long-lost Earth-bound race gradually re-emerging.
04:25So some people are wondering if crypto-terrestrials are actually making their way into society more and more.
04:33There are those who believe that the so-called crypto-terrestrials may have influenced the human race over the millennia,
04:40as seen through our mythology and folklore.
04:43Could ancient accounts of sunken civilizations such as Atlantis or Lemuria actually be describing crypto-terrestrials?
04:51And if so, why would those that remain be interested in a Miami shopping mall?
05:01Could we be looking at some overgrown human or animal in this footage?
05:06Just based on the human beings that we've seen in this video, it seems like this is maybe 8 to
05:1310 feet tall.
05:14I don't see really any arm movements. It almost seems like it's kind of like wobbly and going slow.
05:20So could this be some crypto-terrestrial?
05:23If there were another species living amongst us, you would think we would see some sort of physical remains.
05:30We don't see any fossils or markings or anything left behind at all.
05:37And if it was truly cryptic, it doesn't make sense for one to be walking around in such a densely
05:45populated area as Miami.
05:48But what then was the reason for this massive police response?
05:51What happened at the mall is that there were about 50 kids playing with fireworks.
05:59This triggered people calling the cops and they signaled a citywide three,
06:04which means that all cops in the area had to deploy to this scene to get it under control.
06:08Okay, so the police were there to bust some juveniles.
06:12Then what the heck are we looking at in this video?
06:15For that answer, we require some forensic video analysis.
06:19They put two different versions of the recording with these different perspectives in the same sequence.
06:24So I applied video analysis methodology to compare them side by side.
06:29And when we flip the one and play them simultaneously, you can see that it's the same events at two
06:34different quality levels.
06:35And we were able to essentially debunk what was represented here.
06:39Seeing the two images next to each other, a clearer picture unfolds.
06:44The alien was the police.
06:46It's my opinion that this recording has been compressed to a high degree, misrepresenting what was originally occurring on the
06:54ground.
06:54Whether or not that was done intentionally, I don't know.
06:57But with a higher quality version, you can see the distinct characteristics of these three individual subjects and not one.
07:04And the Miami Police Department confirmed that these were three individual officers.
07:14Our verdict, thanks to our experts' handiwork, we can clearly see that it's actually just three officers walking side by
07:21side.
07:22Whether it was an intended prank or not remains unknown.
07:25But the only thing haunting the mall that evening was a rowdy group of teens.
07:29And given a choice, I'd rather deal with the giant alien.
07:36Bolivia is known for its multitude of mountains, its abundance of alpacas, and its cornucopia of coca fields.
07:44Well, now we can add aliens to that list.
07:48August 2023.
07:50A group of hikers are traversing Bolivia's scenic Rio Pilcomayo, near the city of Trajia.
07:56One member of the party stops to take some pictures and ends up capturing way more than the breathtaking scenery.
08:02It appears these unsuspecting hikers were not alone.
08:06Pushing in on the image, we see a thin, nearly translucent figure walking along the riverbank.
08:11It seems to be around four feet in size, walking in a strange, inhuman gait.
08:16Eerily, the creature's dead, hollow stare seems to be directed straight at the photographer.
08:21Many internet sleuths believe this photo helps prove the existence of the infamous greys,
08:27the most common type of alleged alien reported by abductees.
08:30What first caught my attention is it definitely looks very humanoid in respect to other aliens
08:36that we've seen, like a short gray with a bulbous head or some type of bipedal humanoid entity.
08:43And it falls in line with other beings that have been reported under either alien abduction
08:48or some type of a scenario where an alien has been seen, usually near some type of a flying craft.
08:56Martell singles out a sighting from 1978 that occurred in this very same region,
09:01where many eyewitnesses claim to have seen a cylindrical spacecraft crash into the side of a mountain.
09:08Now, for South America, this was equivalent to a Roswell-type event.
09:12Hundreds of witnesses saw this and even more heard a sonic-like explosion.
09:18Witness reports of this incident claim the impact was so violent,
09:22it threw people to the ground and shattered nearby glass windows.
09:26And you have to wonder if events like this speak to why we might be seeing entities like this
09:32walking around in this location.
09:36Bolivia is also home to the mysterious ancient ruins of Pumapunku,
09:41thought by some to be as many as 17,000 years old.
09:44Others believe the intricacy of the stone cutting could be the work of an advanced technology,
09:50possibly from another world.
09:53Could our photo be connected?
09:55Let's see what our experts think.
10:01First, could someone in a costume be trying to pull off a fast one?
10:05It doesn't seem like it's an actual person in a costume doing a hoax because the body is too thin,
10:11the limbs are too thin to be a person.
10:14However, she isn't convinced that this photo is concrete proof of an extraterrestrial species like the grays.
10:21Grays are described as grays for a reason, because they are the color gray,
10:25and this one appears to be translucent.
10:27So it doesn't fit with the definition of what people see.
10:31According to the accounts that people have said about grays,
10:35there's been no mention of light bending or other sort of advanced camouflage used by the grays.
10:44Manka also questions the authenticity of the image.
10:47What I personally think happened is that somebody realized these kind of look like legs
10:54and then doctored the photos and added the top part of it.
10:57So the absence of the shadow of this object in the area that it was captured on the shoreline
11:03as well as the absence in that reflection of the body of water beneath it is peculiar.
11:10And while believers of this image claim the lack of shadows and reflections
11:15could be aspects of some alien cloaking technology,
11:18Primo believes this picture has definitely been altered in some way.
11:22So we take a look at the information within the picture,
11:25take a deeper dive to try to see if we can detect any evidence of alteration or manipulation.
11:30And there's a test that we run called JPEG-Ghosts that will show us evidence of recompression.
11:35You can see a dip in the compression data.
11:39This valley shows that the image has been processed
11:42and the quality has been reduced at least one time.
11:45So does that mean it's a fake?
11:47The challenge becomes with this picture, because it's been recompressed,
11:51we simply don't know if the area in question on the creature was added or removed.
11:55We can't verify one way or the other, but I have my concerns with this picture.
12:03Our verdict? We're going with suspected hoax.
12:07Although there isn't enough technical data to confirm,
12:10we agree with our experts that there's definitely something dubious about this photo.
12:15But rest assured, if there are aliens wandering the mountains of Bolivia,
12:20we'll find them soon enough.
12:24UFO cloaking.
12:25The idea that UFOs can hide or disappear to avoid detection
12:29has been a hot topic among believers for years.
12:32Is alien tech lurking in plain sight?
12:35And do two classic UFO photos provide the proof?
12:40March 22nd, 1966.
12:42It's a clear morning on Chalk Mountain in Climax, Colorado.
12:46And technicians Robert Brinker and Wilbur Johnson are taking the snowcat for a spin,
12:51snapping photographs around their weather station.
12:54As far as they remember, it's an uneventful morning.
12:57But when Brinker develops the film, he discovers this.
13:02An enormous, saucer-shaped object appears to hover above the mountains.
13:06It has two distinct parts, a wide, domed top and a ridge wrapping around the bottom.
13:13What's most peculiar about the object is that it appears to be translucent.
13:17Coincidentally, this wasn't the only picture that was taken that year
13:22that showed some sort of translucent or transparent UFO.
13:26In fact, in Hillsdale County, Michigan, there's another photograph of something similar.
13:32Just one day before the Colorado photo is snapped,
13:36the Hillsdale County Civil Defense Director, William Van Horn,
13:39arrives at Hillsdale College to investigate strange lights spotted by a group of students.
13:46Their sighting is just the latest in a wave of sightings across Michigan.
13:51And when William arrives, he too sees the strange object in the sky.
13:55After that, it doesn't take long for the Air Force to get involved.
13:59The Air Force conducted its own investigation.
14:02And surprise, surprise, they concluded it was swamp gas.
14:05So Mr. William Van Horn decided to release this photograph
14:10in order to challenge the Air Force's official position.
14:14Van Horn's UFO picture was also translucent and saucer-shaped.
14:21Could these translucent saucers be proof of a theory popular among UFO believers?
14:27There was discussion whether or not this was evidence of cloaking,
14:31whether an alien was using some technology to camouflage itself within its surroundings.
14:37The idea is that UFOs have the technology to turn invisible, or cloak, to evade detection,
14:44which would explain why there are so few clear photos of it.
14:48Could this be evidence that aliens have been hiding in plain sight this whole time?
14:55If aliens invisible to the human eye really are living among us,
14:59does that mean there could be one here or here?
15:04And do these photos offer proof that they've arrived?
15:08Our experts look into it.
15:14Before we stampede towards some exotic theory,
15:18we ask if this UFO could just be a cloud.
15:21My first thought when I first saw this image is that we're looking at a lenticular cloud.
15:26Lenticular clouds often look like a contact lens, a concave shape.
15:32Lenticular clouds form when wind pushes moist air up onto a mountaintop.
15:37Then, as the air cools, it forms a cloud.
15:41Interestingly enough, the weather on March 22, 1966,
15:45showed that the lowest wind speeds across the country were right over Chalk Mountain.
15:51So, I don't think the conditions were right for a lenticular cloud to form.
15:57Plus, a cloud would have been plain to see for the two eyewitnesses.
16:01So, could it be that an invisible UFO was hiding right before their very eyes,
16:06only to be captured on film?
16:08If a UFO is visible only in the UV, the ultraviolet spectrum,
16:13then we wouldn't see it with our eyes.
16:15We would only see it with a camera that can look at ultraviolet spectrum.
16:19But this photo was taken with a Zeiss icon camera, which wasn't any such type.
16:25Then, what the heck is that thing hovering just outside the snowcat?
16:31Well, maybe it was inside.
16:33This is very likely a reflection in the window through which the photo was taken.
16:37And if he's in a close quarters cockpit of a snowcat or something,
16:42that dome light fixture is going to be right over his head.
16:45And so, he's going to probably take that picture through the window,
16:48lean toward the window,
16:49and then you're going to see the virtual image of the cockpit light in the background.
16:54And we think something similar happened in the Michigan photo.
16:58One thing that tells you that it's not something in the sky
17:01is the fact that the sun is exactly as far away from the center
17:05as this is away from the center.
17:07That is one of the hallmarks of the photo artifact we call a lens flare.
17:12And that's what we're seeing here.
17:20Our verdict?
17:21A reflection and a lens flare.
17:24These weren't UFOs in hidden light spectrums.
17:27They were tricks of light in the spectrum we do see.
17:33Although famous for its natural beauty,
17:35Colorado Springs is also known for its numerous military bases,
17:39like the United States Air Force Academy,
17:42and its large number of UFO sightings.

18:03Two mysterious, somewhat menacing objects hover in the distance.
18:07They begin undulating about, independent from one another.
18:11In the footage, you can hear Josh's utter confusion,
18:14and we understand why.
18:17What the f*** are those?
18:20Whoa, that's crazy.
18:22Both of them look like they're alive.
18:24It's displaying some tentacles or limbs or something.
18:28It actually looks like some type of octopus or squid.
18:31Tentacled creatures from outer space are a common theme
18:34in the horror fiction of writers like H.P. Lovecraft.
18:37Could it be possible that we are looking at real evidence
18:40of interstellar visitors from beyond?
18:42There are actually many reports
18:44of what researchers view to be UFOs that are alive,
18:50unidentified flying objects that either look like
18:53giant disc-shaped objects made out of flesh,
18:56or in some cases, octopus, squid, or jellyfish type of animals
19:02that are floating through the air.
19:03Celebrated U.S. astronaut Leland Melvin,
19:06who has clocked over 560 hours in space,
19:09believes he saw a translucent, curved, organic-looking thing
19:13hovering around the payload bay doors
19:15during his time on the space shuttle Atlantis in 2009.
19:20It's a fascinating theory,
19:22but we'd be remiss not to point out the unique area below,
19:26which is dotted with military installations and Air Force bases.
19:30Could these sites be related to the strange events
19:32in the clouds above?
19:33In 2019, the military demonstrated a new type of drone technology.
19:40Consisting of micro-drones,
19:42the drones are a collective organism
19:44utilizing one brain for decision-making.
19:47And these micro-drones actually adapt to each other
19:50and interact like a swarm or a hive of individual units.
19:55It was recently reported that the U.S.
19:57is developing swarm technology
19:59that could be used to thwart a potential Chinese invasion of Taiwan.
20:03If the objective behind this micro-drone technology
20:07is to confuse the enemy,
20:09then what a better alignment
20:10than the shape of a giant octopus or squid
20:14flying through the air with flowing tentacles?
20:19Scarily enough,
20:20it's not just the military that's using advanced drone technology.
20:23Several years ago,
20:25a drone carrying six pounds of methamphetamines
20:27crashed on the U.S.-Mexican border.
20:30Local authorities said
20:31this was hardly the first time this had happened.
20:34To find out more about what's in the skies overhead,
20:36we turn to our experts.
20:41Using some scientific methodology,
20:43we can confirm that these objects are in the air
20:47and are traveling throughout the air
20:48and we're being photographed that way
20:50based on the natural movements of the camera at that distance.
20:53So, it's real.
20:55But what is it?
20:56The problem that I have with that theory
21:00is that you can see that in some cases,
21:03those tentacles separate from the object and come back.
21:06If we zoom into the video,
21:08we can see that this may not actually be a solid singular structure.
21:11You would expect the alien entity to be cohesive
21:14and that tells me that these are separate objects
21:17all working in unison with each other.
21:20So, are they tiny drones in a drone swarm?
21:23So, with a military drone technology,
21:25one of the things you would probably expect
21:27is that you'll have one leader and the others will follow.
21:30But in this particular case,
21:31we're watching the leader change every split second.
21:34It's changing all the time.
21:36You would expect that there would be one cohesive leader
21:41with the rest following in a formation.
21:43This is too random.
21:45We know in nature that this is something we've seen before.
21:49A starling is a small bird.
21:51In this particular case,
21:53we have hundreds and hundreds of them.
21:55They're safe moving in a flock.
21:57One becomes a leader one second,
21:59another becomes a leader another second.
22:00While it still remains somewhat of a mystery,
22:03scientists theorize that starlings move like this
22:06in order to confuse airborne predators,
22:08like the peregrine falcon.
22:10That is something that looks like this octopus in the sky
22:13to people who may not know what this is.
22:16And it does look very strange.
22:18But that's what we're seeing here,
22:20a murmuration of starlings.
22:26Our verdict?
22:27A murmuration of starlings.
22:29This creature looks so otherworldly
22:31because it isn't just one creature, it's many.
22:34It wasn't micro drones this time.
22:37But given the Space Force installation in Colorado Springs,
22:40we're going to keep our eyes on the skies.
22:45Our next story was one of the biggest
22:47and most controversial of 2023.
22:49It's about alleged alien corpses.
22:53And coincidentally, it went wide
22:55the same week NASA released its first UFO report.
22:59Mexico's government took this case seriously.

23:08It's Mexico's first public congressional UFO hearing
23:11and ufologist Jaime Moussen stands next to two boxes
23:15purportedly retrieved from Cusco, Peru.
23:18This could be one of the big findings of the history.
23:23The world is going to be speechless.
23:25A closer look reveals the extraordinary.
23:28Two tiny white corpses, roughly humanoid in shape.
23:31Beneath their ridged forehead appears two eyes,
23:34a nose and a mouth with no teeth.
23:37The arms and legs are both elongated
23:39with three fingers stretching out on both hands.
23:41According to Moussen,
23:44these two alien bodies were excavated from a mine in 2017
23:48near the ruins of Sacsayhuaman,
23:51which is near Cusco, Peru,
23:52which actually lies adjacent to many ancient
23:55and mysterious Inca ruins.
23:57In addition to presenting the bodies,
24:00Moussen also brought along an expert to the hearings
24:02who testified that the mummies had been x-rayed
24:06and that one of the individuals actually contained eggs
24:09and that both of them had strange metal implants.
24:13Moussen claims carbon dating
24:15performed by Mexico's National Autonomous University
24:18shows these corpses are nearly 1,000 years old.
24:21And he says under oath
24:23that upon testing the body's DNA,
24:25over 30% was of completely unknown origin
24:28with no match to any living organism on Earth.
24:31We're going to have to rewrite history.
24:34It's going to have to be accepted
24:35that we were visited 1,000 years ago.
24:39This is real.
24:40And sooner or later, this is going to be proven.
24:45After the hearing,
24:46CT scans like these were performed
24:48on the alleged creatures.
24:50The conclusion was the bodies belonged to a single skeleton
24:54and that there was no evidence of assembly
24:56or manipulation of the skulls.
24:59But are the remains extraterrestrial or not?
25:02Our experts investigate.
25:08Jaime Moussen makes the extraordinary claim
25:11that 30% of the DNA comes from a completely unknown source.
25:15Could that mean it's something extraterrestrial?
25:18I don't think so.
25:19If it had evolved from another planet,
25:21we'd expect 100% of the DNA to be unknown,
25:25even to the fact we'd perhaps
25:27have completely different genetic building blocks.
25:30So I think all of these things point at something
25:33that has been created on Earth.
25:35So can we then identify the 70% of the remaining DNA?
25:39If the bodies are at least partially human,
25:42could they be mummified children
25:43from an ancient Inca tribe?
25:45If we examine the X-ray,
25:47there are lots of features that tell us
25:49that this isn't a human baby.
25:51The skull has a very prominent superorbital ridge.
25:55That's the bony eyebrow ridge,
25:58which you wouldn't expect to see on a baby.
26:00Even looks like there might be remnants of ribs
26:03further down in the body,
26:05whereas humans only have ribs in the thoracic spine.
26:08So instead of a human,
26:10could certain features remind us
26:12of a different South American mammal?
26:14I believe that the skull is likely that of a llama.
26:17It's just its brain case.
26:20If you remove the frontal bones of the llama
26:23and just use what is left of the brain case,
26:27flip it around,
26:28and then you can create something
26:30that has that brow ridge
26:32on what you see the alien.
26:34But the rest of the X-ray
26:36leaves us with far more questions than answers.
26:39Everything about it is biologically wrong.
26:43These eggs, as an example,
26:45are extraordinarily large,
26:47and they're not even in where you would think
26:50the uterus would be.
26:52They're kind of scattered
26:53in the middle of the skeleton.
26:55It's not natural to a human or other animals
26:59that I am familiar with.
27:01I think the skeleton, to me,
27:03just doesn't look right.
27:05If you look at the hip joint,
27:06it looks like it would be very prone to dislocation.
27:09It doesn't look like it would be compatible with life.
27:11Things like that make me believe
27:13that this is not actually a true organism.
27:16If this is truly a hoax,
27:17Gerhardt says it wouldn't be Mousen's first offense.
27:20My friends in the UFO community
27:22were actually very skeptical
27:23when this all unfolded.
27:25There have been multiple times in the past
27:27when Jaime has presented
27:29what he described as mummified alien bodies.
27:32In a remarkable situation like this,
27:34with remarkable claims being made,
27:36there has to be peer review.
27:41Given the present circumstances
27:43and what our experts have to say,
27:45we are calling this case a probable hoax.
27:48And since we first started investigating,
27:51subsequent events confirmed that conclusion.
27:53In January 2024, authorities in Peru
27:57announced they stopped a shipment headed to Mexico
28:00of similar-looking creatures.
28:02Forensic experts concluded
28:03those were nothing more than dolls
28:05made of materials including paper,
28:08glue, animal, and human bones.
28:10So, no aliens for now.
28:13But when the next discovery is made,
28:15we will be sure to investigate.

28:51His camera captures a transparent creature
28:54drifting through the waters
28:55with an eerie, luminescent glow,
28:57and a lifeless fish seems to be stuck
29:00in its neon appendages.
29:01It's not a jellyfish that I'm familiar with,
29:04but it almost has a weird alien-like appearance.
29:08Did he say alien?
29:10As we mentioned earlier,
29:11some ufologists believe sophisticated extraterrestrials
29:15are operating out of underwater bases.
29:18But there's another theory
29:19that alien life actually arrived here
29:21in a microscopic form.
29:23So in recent years,
29:24there's been a hypothesis known as the panspermia theory.
29:28What this suggests is that life on Earth
29:31was seeded by matter from other planets,
29:34other solar systems that traveled to Earth
29:36perhaps hundreds of millions of years ago.
29:41In 2018, a research paper
29:44created by a team of 33 scientists
29:46was published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal,
29:49claiming that one ocean dweller we all know
29:51is a creation of these space seeds.
29:55The investigating team believed
29:57that many of the extraordinary traits
29:58of the octopus were borrowed
30:00not from some earthly ancestor,
30:02but from somewhere else in the cosmos.

30:07It has the ability to morph
30:09or change its body structure,
30:11its color and texture.
30:13And perhaps most impressively,
30:16the octopus has the ability
30:18to spontaneously alter its genetic code.
30:21So these seem like supernatural abilities.
30:25Likewise, could specimens like this one in our video
30:28be proof of further aquatic extraterrestrials?
30:33Several researchers say the reason octopi
30:36and other cephalopods look so different
30:39from other earthly creatures
30:40is that this otherworldly genetic mutation
30:43may have caused them to look like
30:45whatever alien species they allegedly spawned from.
30:49Translation, some aliens could look like that.

31:03Octopuses go way back in the fossil record.
31:05They are closely related to squids
31:07and other groups of cephalopods.
31:10They have evolved very little
31:11in the last millions of years.
31:15So is it possible that this specimen
31:19is of alien origin?
31:20I don't think we have to look to foreign planets
31:23to figure out what this creature is.
31:25Theories like panspermia
31:27aren't generally scientifically accepted
31:29because we don't have a lot of direct evidence
31:31for this actually happening.
31:33Imagine a microorganism
31:35traveling for millions of light years
31:38through space
31:39in extremely cold temperatures
31:41with no nutrients, no oxygen,
31:44no atmosphere to protect them
31:46from direct UV radiation
31:48in a vacuum
31:50landing on a planet
31:52that they're not even evolved to thrive in.
31:55And that's not to say it couldn't happen,
31:57but it doesn't make a lot of biological sense.
32:00And as for that strange, unique glow?
32:04Bioluminescence is a chemical reaction
32:06that happens when the bacteria
32:08within the tissues of the organism
32:10undergo an excitatory response
32:13and that movement of electrons
32:15is triggered
32:17and a flash of light is produced,
32:19which can attract food items to it.
32:22So this fish may have been attracted
32:24by these little flashes of light.
32:27With all our space alien theories deep-sixed,
32:30could we just be looking
32:31at an ordinary jellyfish after all?
32:33What we're looking at isn't a single animal.
32:36It's actually a colony of animals
32:40that have formed together
32:41to create one organism.
32:43It's called a hydrozoan.
32:45Hydrozoans, like the Portuguese man of war,
32:47are a multifunctional unit
32:49where all the parts benefit from the whole.
32:51And discovering one with bioluminescent qualities
32:54outside of the deep ocean
32:56is quite a rarity.
32:57Thousands of these little animals
32:59band together to form
33:01essentially one cohesive organism.
33:03So it is really kind of something
33:06out of science fiction.
33:11Our verdict?
33:13Hydrozoan.
33:14This is, in fact, not one animal,
33:16but a group of creatures
33:18made up of a cnidarian jelly
33:20and bioluminescent bacteria.
33:22The debate about whether the octopus
33:24evolved from an interstellar ancestor
33:27is still ongoing.
33:28So we'll keep an eye on the oceans
33:31for any potential signs
33:32of extraterrestrial life.

33:58It's morning in the suburb
33:59of Marrickville,
34:00just outside Sydney, Australia.
34:02After days of intense rainstorms,
34:04a jogger is enjoying
34:05a break in the weather
34:06to take a run
34:06when something unusual
34:08on the ground
34:08suddenly catches his eye.
34:10It appears to be
34:12an oval-shaped creature,
34:13perhaps two inches long.
34:15Take a closer look.
34:17Is that an eye and a tail?
34:19I don't see any scales.
34:21I certainly don't see any hair.
34:22It almost has kind of
34:24a gelatinous look to it.
34:26It's kind of slimy,
34:27kind of pale,
34:29gray or silver.
34:30In fact,
34:31as far-fetched as it seems,
34:33the gray nature
34:33and fetal form
34:34of this creature
34:35has some on social media
34:36theorizing this could be
34:38the remains
34:38of a developing alien life form.
34:41Perhaps the last time
34:42an alleged alien baby
34:44made news headlines
34:45was in 1996
34:47in the Ural Mountains of Russia.
34:50Referred to as
34:51the Kishtim dwarf,
34:53there was a strange
34:54humanoid creature
34:55that was found
34:55by a local woman.
34:56It was only about
34:5710 inches long.
34:58To this day,
34:59many of the villagers
35:00in this particular region
35:02still wonder
35:03whether it was, in fact,
35:05some type of alien creature.
35:07We analyzed the Kishtim footage
35:09in an earlier episode,
35:10and now,
35:11with this strange life form,
35:12could there be a link
35:13between these mysterious creatures
35:15appearing around the world?
35:19In 1961,
35:21astronomer and physicist
35:22Frank Drake proposed
35:23what's been called
35:24the Drake Equation
35:26as a way to come up
35:27with a mathematical formula
35:28to estimate
35:29how many other
35:30alien civilizations
35:31are out there.
35:32Looking at this,
35:33I don't think
35:34there's any question
35:35that it appears to be
35:36some sort of
35:36early-stage life form.
35:38But what?
35:39And is it alien?
35:41Let's ask the experts.
35:45People might think
35:47this looks a bit alien
35:48because it's kind of gray.
35:50It doesn't look like
35:51it has skin or scales.
35:53But I don't think
35:54that's what we're seeing here.
35:56It looks like
35:57it almost might be
35:58something like
35:59a squid or octopus.
36:02But wait a minute.
36:03Why would a fetal squid
36:04or octopus be on the road?
36:07It could be a phenomenon
36:08called animal rain.
36:10These animal rains
36:11tend to happen
36:12in coastal environments
36:13where there's a lot
36:14of dynamic weather.
36:16How would that
36:16even be possible?
36:18The weather conditions
36:18across Australia
36:20were very rare
36:21for this time of the year.
36:23That led to
36:24above-normal rainfall
36:25in addition to
36:27tropical cyclones
36:28across the region.
36:30Hernandez explains
36:31that the severe weather
36:32could have led
36:32to a cyclone effect
36:33known as a water spout.
36:34The updraft speeds
36:36of water spouts
36:38oftentimes exceeds
36:3920 miles an hour.
36:41Given the radar data
36:43that we have
36:44from that day
36:45in Sydney,
36:46it is possible
36:47that this organism
36:48was picked up
36:49and deposited
36:50somewhere else
36:51due to water spouts.
36:52But another explanation
36:54is birds.
36:56Birds have come around,
36:58picked up that animal
36:59from the water,
37:00and as they're flying,
37:01dropped the animal
37:02somewhere else.
37:03But since there is
37:03no obvious injury
37:05to this creature,
37:06it more than likely
37:07did not come
37:08from a high distance
37:10in the sky.
37:11But upon closer examination,
37:13is it possible
37:14that whatever this is,
37:16it didn't come
37:17from the ocean?
37:18I can tell
37:19that this long tail-like
37:20appendage
37:21is actually likely
37:22an embryonic notochord.
37:24The notochord
37:25is the predecessor
37:25to the spine.
37:26We all have this
37:28in the womb.
37:28In addition,
37:29these kind of ridges
37:30that we see here
37:31to me look a lot
37:33like gill slits.
37:34And that's another
37:35interesting aspect
37:36of mammal evolution.
37:38Mammals in the womb
37:39as embryos
37:40actually have gill slits
37:42as a remnant
37:43of our history
37:44beginning as aquatic fish.
37:47So I think this is
37:49actually a terrestrial organism.
37:51It's just at a very early
37:52stage of development.
37:54If I had to guess,
37:55I would say this is probably
37:56a marsupial embryo,
37:58maybe something
37:59like a possum,
38:00especially because
38:01this is in Australia,
38:03which really is
38:04the land of marsupials.
38:06Marsupials don't develop
38:08fully in the womb.
38:09At some point,
38:10they actually migrate
38:12from the womb
38:13to the maternal pouch
38:15of the mother
38:16and continue development there.
38:18So it's biologically possible
38:21that something
38:22could have gone wrong
38:23during the early development
38:25of this animal.
38:26So instead of ending up
38:27in the marsupial pouch,
38:29for example,
38:29it ended up
38:30in an unnatural environment.
38:33But how did it get here?
38:35The atypical weather conditions
38:37that we saw around Sydney
38:38contributed to
38:39significant flash flooding.
38:41And it's possible
38:42that this particular organism
38:44lived somewhere far away
38:46from Sydney
38:47and was deposited
38:48in the Sydney area
38:50due to flash flooding.
38:54Our verdict?
38:55We're going with
38:56a possum embryo.
38:58It seems to us
39:00both Hernandez
39:00and Conger's
39:01takes on what it is
39:03and how it got there
39:04add up.
39:05And unfortunately,
39:06due to climate change,
39:08it also seems
39:08that Australia
39:09will see more
39:10and more intense weather events
39:11like the one
39:12that likely washed
39:13this creature
39:14into the streets.
39:15If aliens live among us,
39:17are they visitors
39:19from the stars
39:19or have they always been here?
39:22With each new piece of evidence,
39:24are we moving closer
