00:00Did you know that this is how Noir's story was going to end? What did you think when you first
00:04got these scripts? I did not know until Eric called me. You know, I think it was like halfway
00:10through season five. And, you know, we had a talk and it's like, hey, man, it's time to go.
00:17You know, like, you know, there are a bunch of people who are obviously departing this season.
00:22And he had hinted before that that might be Noir's ending. I found it really fitting,
00:27you know, because Noir's story, Noir 2, you know, with season four and five with The Deep,
00:32it's really about brotherhood, you know, and in this toxic family structure that Homelander has
00:37created, this bond that they have really kind of falls apart and becomes this like tit for tat
00:44and one-upmanship until it gets to the point of death. How did it feel to see Noir's life end
00:51at
00:51The Deep's hands? It felt like that was the way it was supposed to go, you know,
00:56because it really, you know, we're really showing the shadow side of brotherhood, you know, and when
01:06ego and insecurity and the need to be, you know, number one in someone's eyes
01:13kind of takes precedence over your relationships with the people who are important to you,
01:18that can easily lead you down the wrong path.
01:20Can you tell me a little bit about your experience working with Chase and sharing scenes
01:23with him as The Deep and Noir? Yeah, when I found out Chase and I were going to be scene
01:28partners, I was so excited, you know, because just watching him over the seasons, he's such a great
01:33actor. He has such, like, such great choices, such great timing, and he's so specific with what he does,
01:39and he's been able to make, you know, this really, you know, you know, Deep is not a great guy,
01:46but you can have moments of empathy for him, and, like, you know, there's humor that's there,
01:52and you can laugh at him, you can, you know, have fun watching the character,
01:57and so just to get to bounce off someone with that much skill, it's a joy every time I get
02:04to do it,
02:05and the fact that, you know, we're friends and we just have this good bond, it just makes it even
02:10better.
02:11Was there, like, anybody else in the cast or anybody else on the show that you kind of wish you
02:14got the chance to share more scenes with?
02:16I mean, I wish I could have done more scenes with Anthony, you know, I think the Homelander
02:22dynamic, Noir 1 and Noir 2 is really interesting, and I think there's a deleted scene from season
02:28four that really illuminates Noir's direction at the beginning of season five, you know, and we see
02:34Noir 2 be scared, you know, shitless, you know, by Homelander into really getting into character,
02:42you know, and Noir sees how off his rocker Homelander is becoming, and he really gets a
02:50sense of, like, how easily Homelander could kill him, you know, and I think having the
02:58dynamic with Noir 2 where, like, he's an echo of Noir 1 for Homelander, but also he is a new
03:06person, you know, so how does this new person interact with that dynamic?
03:10I know this is the end of Noir's journey, kind of, on the show, but is there anything
03:14you can tease about the series finale?
03:17Ooh, yeah, I mean, there's so much I could tease.
03:20I think, I think that everything comes to a head in a really, in a really fitting way.
03:29Things that have been building since season one, we see, you know, some payoff for, you know,
03:35in the finale, and I think it's, the story ends in the right way.
