00:00Did you work with Jamie and Richard at all in developing your characters for the show?
00:04Yeah, I spoke to Jamie a little bit before we shot first, so I spoke to him a little bit
00:09before we started shooting.
00:11And we had like a conversation about the inner workings of Niall and how that maybe manifests and like the
00:17relationship he has with himself, the relationship he's got with Ruben.
00:22And then by the time we were shooting our stuff, I kind of spoke to him a little bit.
00:26But to be honest, all of the consistency that you see going into older Niall was all Jamie's work.
00:34And that's like from him watching dailies of like our stuff.
00:39So the credits kind of like all with him in terms of like how the character, the consistency of it.
00:48I felt, well, Richard was kind of there all the way through the process, all the auditions and the rehearsals
00:54and every day on set as an EP and writer.
00:57So I kind of had him to lean on and to, you know, as a constant sort of source, we
01:04could ask each other questions.
01:06But, yeah, we kind of did the work together.
01:09It was my job to try and find some of his inflections to bring the voice closer to him.
01:14He captured some of my mannerisms that I've seen now in 4, 5 and 6 that I maybe didn't know
01:20that I was doing.
01:22But he's, so that's credit to him.
01:23And then we talked about, yeah, like hair, makeup, tattoos, clothes, things like that, and what that meant as the
01:32character.
01:33But we, he was really good at not being, like trying to inhibit my performance or like, and to not
01:39take away the spontaneity that we could find on the day together so that we can kind of capture truth.
01:47There's not like a fixed idea of what Ruben has to be.
01:49So it's kind of, we did both really.
