05:55And then you'll have those like bifold doors that slide in.

06:46On the end, you're going to have open shelving for cookbook storage.

08:56You can set a cup of coffee on it.
08:58But the idea there is that multiple members of the Gallagher family gathering around, making
09:04memories, living life in this house for the next 100, 150 years.

10:22That just made me want to throw up and I know it's here.

10:29So now I think it's time to talk about wallpaper in this half bath.
10:33This is all part of the new addition.

10:34None of this was here just a few weeks ago.
10:37I had to rip off all the rotten stuff, which was like the whole back of the house.
10:43So when we built it back, we planned it out and made it better.
10:46This way there is a half bath and a laundry, dedicated space.
10:51Because water was getting in between the addition and the original house.
10:54Now it's waterproof.
10:56We no longer have a failing foundation.
10:58We rebuilt the breakfast nook off the kitchen and back entry mudroom, then a half bath and a laundry room.
11:05We're going to now build a new screen porch that spans the entire back of the house and will reconnect
11:10to those original brick steps.
11:12We needed a laundry room.
11:14They needed a half bath.
11:16But doing these pocket door systems, we're using pocket doors to create little walls.
11:20And it also doesn't take up much space.
11:22You can really get usefulness in every single inch of that addition we built.
11:27We gave her the green on the exterior and we're giving her green in the dining room.
11:31But this is her blue moment.
11:32I love this pattern.
11:34I wish that the background were more saturated.
11:36Like it feels like this is a white wallpaper, but the colors are right.
11:39Otherwise, I love this large scale.
11:42I like that rich color in the background.

11:46So that's the one.
11:47That's kind of the island color.
11:49There's navy in the pattern and I'm using a navy that leans a little green for the island in the
11:54kitchen.
11:55We're bringing the navy from the wallpaper to the island to the parlor.
11:59Can we talk about how we can like try to make these look better?

12:04I don't love these bookcases.
12:06They're very 1980s and the color is not my favorite.
12:10This is the ugliest room in the house.
12:13Building custom built-ins would be great, but we don't have that kind of money.
12:16So we're going to use the cabinets that were here and make them built-ins.
12:19This is going to be their like living room game night family time parlor.
12:23I hope they're going to have fun in here.
12:25It used to be the clinic.
12:26We lost the door.
12:27We put in the windows and now it's just this hodgepodge patchwork hot mess.
12:31These are all the colors I'm using in the house.

12:35So I don't want to see that again right when we walk in.

12:43The floor is like the color of cherry, kind of.

12:47If we can paint the cabinets and the walls the same color, I think it could help me warm up

12:52And then all the trim in the room will be that historic, almost black mahogany color.

13:08I mean, we started with the smallest kitchen in the world to demo, and now we're going to have just
13:12endless counter space.

14:46and I got them before the birds did.

14:52Jeff's sister Gwen lives here, she and her husband.

14:59It is famous in Laurel.
15:01It's just, like, right across the street from their house.
15:04But the back of this house faces it.
15:06Which is great for them, because it's still really close to their chiropractic clinic.

15:24The stairwell was hand-painted by Jill Bisken, an artist for the Metropolitan Opera Company.

21:11The tresses are just across the street and to the left.
21:14We just finished the pool here a few months ago for Adam and Lily.
21:17Now, I told him the girls would be here all the time.
