01:10tonight it's a bit out there it's a little bit quirky but they're either gonna love it or they're gonna
01:16hate it but I'm willing to take the risk I hope it's worth it with the competition hotting up the
01:23diners are becoming more demanding Tuesday's host Richard was less than impressed by dental nurse
01:33Amy's offerings last night I thought the food was quite tasty but it definitely wasn't dinner party
01:41food definitely wasn't my standard a doubt shared by musical tribute act Danny last night for me
01:49personally was not a winning night thank you Amy's food was perhaps not top-notch dinner party food
01:58palliative care nurse Pauline seems to have spotted competition of a different nature brewing I think
02:04there's a bit of rivalry going on between Dan and Richard about the sort of sense of humor who's the
02:09quickest with the territory that you work in have you got to be like ultra brushing flossing I feel
02:15like it just kind of gets drilled into you anyway because you hear it all day every day me Richard

02:23say yeah definitely we're both perhaps the most vocal in the group I know I can be a bit gobby
02:27sometimes I think there's gonna be some turn up in friction if Danny's dominating the table and
02:34tonight no no but it is warm it doesn't wilt the salad no if there's any little bit of friction

02:42definitely intervene and be like oh hey come on now you're in my house quite right with only a couple
02:49of nights left we don't want any argy-bargy now so heading into the last two nights I feel confident
02:55that I can still put on a good night and maybe challenge the upper echelons of the scoreboard well
03:03the one to beat currently is Richard with 33 unless of course Vanessa can pull something out the bag I

03:11really really looking forward to tonight we've got Vanessa who has been consistent throughout as someone
03:17who comes across very very theatrical I don't think she's going to be doing subtlety so tonight
03:22my menu is all about that comfort wholesome food but with a little speakeasy cocktail vibey twist and
03:32the first course to get that cocktail vibey twist is the starter Bloody Mary beans on toast that is so
03:40weird Bloody Mary is a cocktail isn't it boozy beans on toast that's not to like mate in a Bloody
03:47Mary you'd have tomato spiced tomato juice obviously not vodka Vanessa fries garlic then adds vodka
03:58unlucky Richard chopped tomatoes then a medley of beans hopefully the baked beans because I'm not really
04:04fun of kidney beans I got black beans kidney beans got all the beans except paint sorry Amy hopefully
04:10it won't be too windy around the table maybe leave a window open tomato puree is added bit of brown

04:17then celery and finally the jumble of beans to make up the breezy brew I've got a beautiful sourdough
04:27loaf here I'm ready for people to go did you make it hell no because like making bread is one

04:34making sourdough gluten-free bread like nah I'm not even gonna try and entertain that I'd hope if it's toast
04:41that it's homemade bread not today Richard Vanessa slices up the shop-bought beauty then applies chorizo
04:49fat ready to toast and serve with her beans later well that's that done on to the main espresso martini
04:57meat stew I can't see anybody not liking that I hate espresso martinis doesn't express which meat well
05:07I'm hoping it's not horse dog or cat me too fella this is my lovely beef beef thank goodness and

05:16marinated it with just um olive oil red onion and garlic the beef is browned in a pan and not

05:23it marinated it's also serenaded gonna make it all all tasty tasty tasty meat it's gonna get all nice
05:33and brown I'm channeling some love into my beef bit of beef love yes and who doesn't like a bit

05:41love the molly coddled meat is transferred to a pot with some veggies then the coffee is brewed beef
05:50granules in this is gonna be quite surreal isn't it way out and wacky man whoa just tastes like
05:59bovril oh maybe not then oh I thought I was trying to do something exciting but it's just got like

06:06of a bovril vibe to it the underwhelming potion is laced with a dash of vodka then added to the
06:12meat
06:12the whole lot will slow cook and will be served with mash and veg dessert time pina colada crumble
06:24if you like pina colada
06:27do you like pina colada and getting caught in the rain there's gonna be some coconut coconut liqueur
06:34coconut milk coconut ice cream stuff like that or indeed exactly like that power the force Vanessa
06:42adds vanilla essence sugar water and cornstarch to coconut milk then blends taste before I freeze it
06:53that is so creamy oh finally she introduces a rookie act to the stage so this is a brand new

07:01machine never used before this is her debut performance hopefully she will enjoy the spotlight
07:08the unsullied churner is loaded with the coconut mix then left to dramatize into ice cream break a leg
07:16dear heart onto the crumble gluten-free flour is mixed with sugar and butter let's get dirty cinnamon it's all
07:28sticking to my fingers it's like a like a monster hand terrifying the crumbles evenly spread over
07:35ramen honey soaked pineapple chunks a little bit of sugar then goes into bake just called cabaret chic
07:45okay that's up my street I have lots of cabaret chic in my wardrobe don't we all Pauline cooking done
07:52there's just time for a smidgen of sanctification I am just burning some sage into the space it just
08:02cleanses the room and it also brings about a lot of positive energy are you sure that sage and I

08:12little bit of moment of face yoga meditation relieve all the stress okay better let's get glamorous oh she's
08:24better all right if Vanessa wants to win with this menu it's gonna need to be all about the food

08:31does worry me a little bit just because if it all goes to plan it might threaten my night and

16:22but instead of the very sassy and sophisticated red wine

16:29I've gone with a coffee and a vodka
16:34the main was just a little bit weird for my taste buds

16:37but I feel like the coffee with the meat
16:39it was just a bit too many flavours

16:50coffee and a bacon butty
16:52but I just couldn't

16:55a lot of people put in like coffee

18:42When I soaked the pineapple and rum together to make the crumble,
18:47I kind of drained off a lot of the juice.
18:50Which she'll serve as a little side drink.
18:53Out comes the crumble.
18:54On goes the ice cream and there it is, pina colada crumble with a little shot of saucy juice.

19:07This isn't too sweet. It's not sickly. I could eat double this.
19:11All the flavours went together and it was just perfection.
