00:00Uh, favorite color?
00:01Burnt Sienna.
00:02Obviously.
00:03Goes with everything.
00:04Yep.
00:05I would wager to say that Burnt Sienna is the name.
00:06OK, let's just get into this year's nomination.
00:10Tony's season has begun.
00:12Uzo Aduba and Darren Criss announced the 2026 nominees,
00:16bright and early, on Tuesday morning.
00:18Darren took home two Tonys last year for his robot musical,
00:21Maybe Happy Ending.
00:22As for this year, Pink is hosting Broadway's biggest night
00:25on June 7th.
00:26And Page Six has all the biggest surprises and snubs,
00:29starting with Lea Michele.
00:31She was left out of the leading actress category in a musical
00:33for the Broadway hit, Chess.
00:35However, Lea's co-star, Nicholas Christopher,
00:38nabbed a nomination.
00:39So did Luke Evans for the Rocky Horror Show.
00:42The Hollywood hunk stunned in leather at last night's Met Gala, too.
00:45Luke's Rocky Horror co-star, Stephanie Hsu,
00:48was a pleasant surprise in the leading actress
00:50in a musical category.
00:51Damn it, Janet.
00:52And congrats.
00:53The OG Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe,
00:56also got a nom for his play, Every Brilliant Thing.
00:58It could be his second Tony,
01:00after winning in 2024 for Merrily We Roll Along.
01:03But some stars of TV and film were surprisingly passed over,
01:07including Emmy-winning Hacks star Jean Smart for Call Me Izzy,
01:11two-time Oscar winner Adrienne Brody for The Fear of Thirteen,
01:14and The Bear actress Ayo Adeburi for Proof.
01:17Also from The Bear,
01:18Jon Bernthal was snubbed for his performance in Dog Day Afternoon.
01:22Bill and Ted didn't have an excellent adventure this morning.
01:25The leads of Waiting for Godot, Keanu Reeves, and Alex Winter were both skipped over.
01:29Beach's, the musical adaptation of the 1988 Tearjerker starring Bette Midler,
01:34was also a big snub, although not a surprise for anyone who saw it.
01:38Here's which shows were nominated.
01:40For Best Musical, The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon, Titanic,
01:43and Two Strangers Carry a Cake Across New York.
01:47Nick Uzo. First of all, Schmigadoon. I love Schmigadoon.
01:50I just like saying Schmigadoon.
01:52We all do.
01:53For Best Play, The Balusters, Giant, Liberation, and Little Bear Ridge Road.
01:58The 79th Annual Tony Awards will be held in New York City's Radio City Music Hall
02:02on Sunday, June 7th at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
