00:00Things aren't looking great right now for the San Francisco Giants.
00:03This is PME on TEL. It's Donnie and it's Joe here.
00:05And the reason why we bring this up is because sometimes you hire managers like,
00:08hey, it's just not working out. We'll be able to flow and get through it.
00:10But they took a big leap of faith by saying we're going to pull a guy
00:14with no Major League Baseball managing experience and pull him right from college
00:17and figure it's going to work out.
00:19Here's Tony Vitello talking about the San Francisco season so far.
00:23The best way I can say it, sum it up, is not a good road trip,
00:28not a great start, not a great first month.
00:32I know a lot about this organization and the fan base,
00:35and there's a lot of fans that probably at this point have had too much frustration,
00:40more than they deserve, or too much heartbreak.
00:43I feel like we're in debt to them a little bit.
00:45If anything, at least for Giants fans that have young people in their family,
00:50we had to have made up a little ground tonight.
00:52There's a little bit of a tradeoff for some of those losses.
00:55Have your son or your nephew or your young player or a player you coach watch that game tonight.
01:01That is exactly how you want your son or your nephew or anyone you know
01:05or anyone you coach to play baseball is the way he played baseball tonight.
01:09The SEC, it just means more, Joe, but the SEC ain't Major League Baseball now, is it?
01:15No, no, it is not.
01:17And he's learning that in a big, big way, and I'm really not quite sure how you plan on motivating
01:23a room there
01:25that has a lot of guys that have not been in college in a very long time.
01:30So this is going to be an interesting move.
01:33I mean, Buster Posey hired this guy.
01:35Buster, this roster ain't working out right now,
01:38so it's going to be interesting to see how this ends up
01:41and who might be on the chopping block if it doesn't work out well.
01:45Buster Posey picked up a dub in their last game.
01:47Can they make it two in a row?
01:48We'll certainly find out, but that also brings up indications of
01:51could we be looking at a team that might have a poor record
01:53that maybe we didn't anticipate having a poor record?
01:56Let's head over to the Cal State Marketplace and take a look at baseball,
01:59pro baseball's worst record.
02:01Of course, it's always going to be Colorado,
02:02but what's up with disrespect for the Philadelphia Phillies at 13% here
02:06as a chance and a yes contract at 6%?
02:10That's not going to work out here.
02:11San Francisco, though, we just heard from Vitello.
02:13He's the manager.
02:14They're at 13% as a chance to have the worst record.
02:16And then, of course, the White Sox, the Angels, the usual suspects there.
02:20But far and away, as usual, Joe, are those Colorado Rockies?
02:25Yeah, well, I mean, but even Colorado, I've got some hope for here.
02:30I don't think I have any hope for the Angels whatsoever.
02:34I think they are, you know, they will grace us
02:37with some of the worst baseball we have seen in a very long time here.
02:41We know the White Sox are actually turning it around here,
02:45and they're going to win more games than anybody thought.
02:47So this market, Donnie, along with some of the current win total markets here
02:53in the prediction side, not a bad way to look here for some of these teams.
02:57Because like you said, what's the disrespect with Philadelphia?
03:00Well, if you think Philadelphia is going to turn it around now with Mattingly,
03:03well, then what, head over to their win total market
03:06and see if you can't get yourself a pretty good price right now.
03:09Well, let's go.
03:09Well, let's go.
