00:13The Ministry of the Interior revealed that 90% of crimes were committed with firearms and that young men were

00:21In response, the government has introduced a new curfew in areas affected by crime, which will be in place until
00:27May 18th.
00:28The measure will affect nine provinces including Guayas, Pichincha and Esmeraldas, as well as four other areas which have been
00:36under a 60-day state of emergency since April 2nd due to severe internal unrest.
