00:00In Ecuador, the authorities report according to a record high 76,000 hectares burned so

00:09far in 2024 as a result of forest fires.

00:12Precisely, the province of Loja has been most affected with 32,958 hectares destroyed, including

00:20areas of the Polo Carpuz National Park.

00:23Moreover, data from the National Risk Management Secretariat indicate that in the current year

00:28fires have left seven injured and directly affected more than 500 others.

00:40In Colombia, Gustavo Petro's government announced the delivery of humanitarian aid to the victims

00:45of flooding caused by heavy rains in the department of Bolívar.

00:47The supplies are destined for the inhabitants of 26 of the 46 municipalities that constitute

00:54the region, which were severely affected by the meteorological disaster.

00:58The delivery of aid kits began in the municipalities of Monte Cristo, where the local streams overflowed

01:07and flooded the urban center of the territory.

01:09According to the authorities, the aid will benefit 7,632 people of the locality.

01:16It is suspected that from next week on, the neighboring territories also affected by the

01:21rains will be attempted.

01:27In the Philippines, a fire that lasted for several hours burned down at least 1,000 homes
