00:00When you look back at this year, do you think that the Bruins exceeded expectations and how disappointed would you
00:07be as a fan that they had lost that series?
00:10Yeah, I think they definitely exceeded expectations considering where they were to start this season, right?
00:15Where you feel like you had, all right, David Pasternak, Charlie McAvoy, but you had a lot of questions as
00:19to where else you were getting your offense from.
00:21Was Morgan Geeky going to be a guy that could sustain what was his breakout year the year before?
00:26Was Jeremy Swayman going to return to form?
00:29And you had a new head coach.
00:31You had questions over, was there going to be buy-in?
00:34And I think you saw a team that bought into what Marco Sturm was preaching as far as getting back
00:38to being a more competitive club.
00:41You had, obviously, Jeremy Swayman bounce back, which I think was the biggest development.
00:45It's the main reason why you were even in the playoffs.
00:48So I think all being considered, they exceeded expectations, put themselves in a good spot moving forward.
00:53I think you saw a lot of development from the younger players.
00:55You now have James Higgins in the mix.
00:57You've got a lot of players in the prospect pipeline that had really strong years, whether that's in college or
01:03below that.
01:05So I think you're in a pretty good spot if you're a Bruins fan as far as what they can
01:08do to build towards that.
01:10But losing to Buffalo, I think, was also a little bit of a reminder that even if you're maybe on
01:14the right track
01:15and maybe you're a season ahead of schedule, maybe from where we thought they might be,
01:19you still have a lot of work to do as far as adding more talent up and down this lineup.
