37-year-old Jamie Beckett from Wakefield has been sentenced to 23 years after being convicted of multiple sexual abuse offences involving seven children.

00:15Jamie Beckett from Wakefield was arrested in December 2022 by National Crime Agency officers
00:21after receiving intelligence from international partners.
00:24They revealed links between PayPal and Gmail accounts and a mobile number which was attributed to Beckett.
00:31He exploited the abuse facilitator and victims' financial situations by offering cash for medical appointments,
00:39electricity and Wi-Fi in exchange for images and videos of child abuse.
00:44Between June 2020 and June 2022, Beckett exchanged 9,493 messages,
00:51356 media files and approximately 39 calls with the facilitator.
00:56The telecommunications engineer would provide specific instructions of what he wanted the facilitator to do to victims.
01:03When the bespoke content did not meet his criteria,
01:06he withheld payment until new media was supplied which he was satisfied with.
01:11Beckett paid just under £560 for abuse material which involved seven children aged between 5 and 15.
01:17The children have since been safeguarded.
01:20Beckett pleaded guilty to 25 charges at Leeds Crown Court and was sentenced to 23 years,
01:2616 of those in prison and seven years on licence.
