00:00Levi Kitchen, Max Ancy, and Ryder D. Francisco.
00:04A really good battle for that second position in this championship.
00:08A lot on the line, pride first and foremost.
00:12And of course, those bonus checks.
00:15Make no mistake about it, you have to assume these riders are going to be going for it.
00:19And that is something, to be able to finish second in the championship,
00:23especially against a contender like this young man right here.
00:26In his own words, Hayden Deegan said,
00:28I've accomplished everything I set out to do aboard a 250.
00:32But now, over these closing two races, I'd like to notch up some records.
00:37Put up some more career numbers.
00:40Pass some people that are up there
00:43before I move on up to the Premier Class for the Pro Motocross Championship
00:47and the remainder of his career.
00:51He came in with a lot of excitement,
00:53and that excitement has been ever-present.
00:57There you go.
00:58So, 15 seconds, give or take 10.
01:02After that, card goes sideways.
01:06They can drop 5-10 after that.
01:09Here's the man who got the great start in his heat, Josh Maurice.
01:13The teammates right there with Max Anstey and Hayden Deegan.
01:162-50 West Division here in Denver.
01:20Time to bring the action.
01:23Bike 1, position 1.
01:25Linville on the outside.
01:28The teammates side-by-side.
01:31Max Anstey takes the fight to Hayden Deegan.
01:39And then the 43 of Lux Turner.
01:42Wow, Lux Turner almost went over the bars.
01:44Yeah, right up the inside there.
01:46Great move by Lux Turner.
01:48I don't think that Max Anstey was anticipating that.
01:52Now, look, he gets scooped up by the 47 of Levi Kitchen.
01:56And Ryder DeFrancisco right behind aboard that 34 Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna.
02:04Oh, look at the chef.
02:07Came here to do some cooking here tonight.
02:10I thought he was going to give Lux the business, but he doesn't.
02:14Great start for Lux Turner right here.
02:20Let's go back and watch a replay of the start.
02:24Here's the champ.
02:26Oh, great release.
02:27Look at that.
02:28Working it.
02:29That is a massive run coming out of the gate.
02:33Slides up a little bit, but he's in the perfect spot because he's going to set him up to be
02:36on the inside.
02:37Looking on the inside.
02:38Watch McAdoo, the 142.
02:40He runs out of real estate.
02:42Looks like he got crossed up on the back wheel of Crockett Myers.
02:47And nothing he could do there.
02:49That's just a racing incident.
02:51Levi Kitchen aboard that Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki by 47.
02:56Has to try and clear Lux Turner here if he wants to attempt to chase down race leader and his
03:03old rival in Hayden Deegan.
03:05And remember, this is the man who sits second in the championship where there are just six points covering three
03:11riders in that race to the runner-up on the title.
03:21The Toyota Redlands, Bar-X Yamaha sits second.
03:26Really good ride so far, but how about the man in third, JT?
03:29Yeah, Levi Kitchen looks great so far, but I just wonder what will the fitness look like.
03:34The last time we saw Levi in St. Louis, he was dealing with a back injury that's kept him off
03:39the motorcycle for a lot longer than he would like.
03:42He simply hasn't been able to put in the training laps between then and now.
03:46So if there is something that it will cost, I think late race fitness may be the price to pay.
03:52We'll see as Ryder D and Max Anstey start to close up behind him.
03:56Oh, Lux messed up in that 90-degree corner, and he lost some time.
03:59I thought the 47 was going to be able to capitalize on it.
04:03So Lux had to ride a little defensive, anticipating that maybe the 47 would come up and make a move
04:09inside.
04:10But he wasn't able to do that.
04:11So great for Lux to hold on to position.
04:15Here comes Levi Kitchen outside and rounds him up in the second.
04:21Nice pass by Levi.
04:24It's going to be interesting to see what he'll be able to do now with the clean track that you
04:28can see in the top of your screen.
04:29Hayden's got about a full whoop pat length lead.
04:33Oh, nice run through the whoops by the 34 of Ryder.
04:36DeFrancisco makes the move up the inside.
04:38No, I loved what I saw from Ryder earlier on today, DeFrancisco.
04:42Look, and even though the 20-year-old Lux Turner has just lost two spots, he is still in position
04:49for his best result on the season.
04:51And that's the great thing about these guys.
04:53And I talked a little bit about it earlier during the heat races.
04:57Man, a lot of these riders have had some great finishes, personal bests against some incredible competition.
05:03And that's kudos to not only these great athletes, but the race teams as well working hard behind the scenes.
05:09And look, he's fighting the guy who won the season opener as Max Anstey blasts by.
05:19This is a great learning opportunity for a guy like Lux to run up front like he has just been
05:26doing.
05:26And you can learn so much no matter how much you practice during the week.
05:30That is a great lesson right there.
05:31And look, on his way to this position, in the timeline of his career, his family went through some pretty
05:37severe financial hardship.
05:38He ended up taking four years away from racing.
05:42And then he would work his way.
05:44He'd work a job for two weeks, he'd ride for two weeks.
05:46He'd work a job for two weeks, ride for two weeks.
05:48So for him to be up here with the likes of Max Anstey, this is dream territory for Lux Turner.
05:54Right, and he knows what it's like to live like that and, quite frankly, wants to live a little better.
06:02And there's nothing wrong with that.
06:03So that's some great motivation right there.
06:06And he's done a fantastic job.
06:10And it's not out of reach for him to finish in the top ten in this 250 West Division Championship
06:16at the end of next weekend in Salt Lake City.
06:18And so just to expand on Lux and this fantastic ride that he's done, what I mean by watching these
06:24guys and following these guys,
06:25now he can get an idea and a taste of what it's like to race up there for multiple laps.
06:30And now you can go throughout the week and work on that technique, work on that speed.
06:35And whether it's corner entry, whoop speed, rhythm speed, you know, aggression,
06:41you can see what these riders are doing in real time and go work on his craft.
06:49Hayden Deegan already boasts a five-second advantage over Levi Kitchen.
06:54And then Ryder Dee, then the rider on screen, that's Max Anstey, and then Lux Turner.
06:58And Kayden Meneer is in sixth place ahead of Hunter Yoda.
07:03There's Gage Linville.
07:04He's just been overtaken by Yoda.
07:07Yeah, Linville doing a great job.
07:08Remember, he was filling in, got called up to fill in for Jalik Swole.
07:14Doing a great job on a very difficult track.
07:18By the way, Cameron McAdoo's been able to work his way up to 17th after that lap one crash,
07:24that unfortunate run to turn one, where he ended up on the deck.
07:31Oh, Mumford goes up the inside, uses up the real estate.
07:36Here's Robbie Wachman on the 237.
07:39Nice switchback.
07:40Gave him the inside run here.
07:42Robbie's able to execute.
07:44Really nice passage.
07:45Yeah, Robbie is absolutely bringing it.
07:47And how that pass started was because Mumford went up the inside,
07:51and he didn't able to have a good drive through the woods,
07:54so he lost all that time.
07:55And that's what helped Robbie make the move, gain a ton of time.
07:59For that heartbeat, hot sauce, Nano Xtreme Yamaha.
08:03That was really nice to watch.
08:05Quick reminder, as we are at the halfway mark
08:08to stock up on Monster Energy drinks at King Super.
08:15Oh, Mumford doing the same line, basically almost the same line
08:21how he got by, or tried to get by, Gage Linville.
08:27That's a scrap for eighth place as they go.
08:29They trade positions.
08:30Well, what a story it's been for Caden Meniere's pro debut.
08:36Basically, he pleaded with his team owner to get this opportunity.
08:40Bobby Reagan gave it to him.
08:43Gets in his first heat.
08:46Gets run off the track by Levi Kitchen.
08:48Didn't cross the finish.
08:49Which technically was one lap down, according to the AMA.
08:53Had to go by the LCQ.
08:55Crashed in the LCQ.
08:57Came back to make it to the top four.
08:58And here he is, running in sixth place
09:01in his first ever main event.
09:02And make no mistake about it.
09:04He's doing great, but make no mistake about it.
09:06This is a job interview right here.
09:08I told you, the guys that he's going against
09:10that could potentially take this spot.
09:13So it is incredibly important for him
09:15to put in a good ride for job security.
09:18And he's doing a fabulous job by that,
09:20especially going through the LCQ.
09:22He rides regularly at the Goat Farm,
09:26at the Monster Energy Star Yamaha team's training facility
09:30with this man, the race leader, the champ.
09:32Tell us more, JT.
09:34I just want to circle back to that roundtable discussion we had,
09:37where I said, you know, I think that Hayden Deegan
09:40is ready to take the step to the 450 class
09:42and go battle the very best that class has to offer.
09:45And the reason I believe so is look at what he's been able to do in 2026.
09:50I believe if this racetrack had been offered a year ago,
09:53it would have given Hayden some problems.
09:56Two sets of loops, really tricky surface,
09:58the start's really important.
10:00Those were all things that he cleaned up in his game,
10:03and they are no longer any trouble for him.
10:06He is running away with this main event, seemingly at ease.
10:10That, the ability to shore up his weaknesses,
10:12is going to serve him very, very well when he moved up to the 450 class,
10:16and it's going to allow him to match the very best,
10:18the likes of Hunter, Jet, Eli, and more.
10:21And that's right, JT.
10:22You talked about it a few races back
10:24when he was on the verge of winning that championship,
10:26and he did, indeed.
10:28You needed to see a couple of improvements
10:30to basically perfect his game in that 250 division.
10:34It was the whoops being the biggest one,
10:37and he has, in fact, done that.
10:39Great stuff, JT.
10:43Five-and-a-half to go, plus a lap for this man
10:46to notch up another win on the season.
10:48A little further back, we pick up triumphs Gage Linville
10:52as he fights with Max Volan aboard the Club MX Yamaha.
10:57Bit of a rough run for Volan
11:00to see him back in outside the top ten.
11:03Yeah, certainly a talented rider.
11:07There's no doubt.
11:08And just, again, we've told his story so many times,
11:11not being able to use that rear brake as a rear brake on his handlebars.
11:17That is absolutely incredible to do what he's able to do.
11:20Every time I watch him,
11:21we're on qualifying practice lead on the track.
11:23It's just very, very special and cool to see.
11:27Well, look, for Max, he's got to keep pushing forward
11:31because he has not finished outside the top ten this season,
11:34so he's trying to keep that run intact.
11:36Meanwhile, here is the 40 of Parker Ross.
11:38We showed you that feature of Parker
11:42and his girlfriend, Michaela, earlier in the show
11:44as he tries to push his way forward
11:47to knock on the door of the top ten finish
11:49here with four and a half minutes plus a lap to go.
11:56Great run.
11:58Fitness start probably playing here,
12:01getting late in the race.
12:04Still quite a bit of racing left,
12:06almost four minutes plus a lap.
12:08There is a third podium on the season on offer.
12:12For the Husqvarna rider,
12:13Ryder DeFrancisco.
12:15Well, he's in good form
12:16as he's getting closer to the end of this main event.
12:19And this is what we were talking about
12:20just earlier in the heat race there,
12:23talking to Sean Murphy,
12:24Team Corner at Rockstar Husqvarna.
12:26This is what they wanted.
12:27They were hoping for a podium here,
12:30a podium in Salt Lake to finish up the season.
12:32We talked about what a confidence boost
12:34that would be for Ryder DeFrancisco.
12:36And those other podiums that you spoke about,
12:38that was back in January.
12:39That was at Anaheim 1 and Anaheim 2.
12:42So it's been a little while.
12:43There's been consistency for Ryder,
12:45fourths, fifths.
12:46Bad result there in Birmingham,
12:48about an 18th.
12:49But this is what they've been looking for
12:51and this is what's going to put them
12:52in good situation here going into next season.
12:54Think about what a year it's been
12:56for the Rockstar NG Factory Husqvarna team
12:58on the 250s with Daxton Benick
13:00being on the podium,
13:02running up front,
13:03being in the top five in the championship.
13:04Been a good year for both guys in either division.
13:06Well, it has.
13:07You talk about Dax Benick.
13:08I mean, he's done a fantastic job for sure.
13:14Gage Linville has a quick look over his shoulder
13:17because here comes the race leader.
13:19He's about to go down the lap.
13:23Man, I just think about what Hayden
13:26is going through right now
13:27and races like this
13:28and what it feels like.
13:30And when I've been in this position before,
13:32you just have to enjoy that moment
13:34because it's not always
13:36are you in this position to enjoy.
13:38And it's like you can kind of
13:39enjoy all that hard work
13:41and the sacrifice that you have made
13:43along the way and along the years
13:45and just put in these laps
13:48and have fun, Will.
13:51Brian Deegan's words,
13:52you just matched them right there, Ricky.
13:54I told you I was chatting to him earlier
13:56and he was talking about
13:57how much sacrifice
13:58they have made as a family.
14:00They were very settled in California
14:02and they uprooted,
14:03moved to Tallahassee there
14:05and they said,
14:05Will will do this all,
14:07him and his wife Marissa,
14:08we will do this all for our son
14:09providing he's enjoying himself,
14:11he's having fun
14:12and he's putting his all in.
14:14And they said,
14:15all these kind of small achievements,
14:17we talked about the records,
14:18all the motivations
14:19that keep him going at the moment,
14:21that right now,
14:21that's the fun aspect.
14:22He said,
14:23we have to keep that in his riding.
14:24Very important for the family
14:26as a unit.
14:27Well, talking about giving it his all,
14:29it doesn't matter
14:31what city we're in,
14:32what the track design is,
14:35what the session is.
14:36It could be Friday's media day,
14:37it could be the first
14:38or second qualifying session.
14:40You are only going to get
14:41everything this guy's got.
14:43Yeah, he brings the effort,
14:46max effort all the time.
14:47And let me tell you,
14:48I mean,
14:49this guy works incredibly hard.
14:52You do not get these kind of results
14:53by not doing the work.
14:56You might have some people fooled,
14:57but trust me,
14:58there's stuff happening.
14:59We were standing on the edge
15:01of the track yesterday
15:01at media day
15:02and you didn't even have
15:04to turn around
15:04just to hear the note of the bike
15:06to know that it was Hayden Deegan coming.
15:08He was at that level.
15:10Speaking of being at a top level,
15:12Hunter Lawrence
15:13preparing to head to the track
15:16to see if he can do anything
15:17about the four-point deficit
15:19that he is in,
15:20that position he's in
15:21up against title rival,
15:22Ken Rockson.
15:234.50 main coming up,
15:25not too far away.
15:26Less than a minute
15:26plus a lap to go
15:28here in the 2.50 West Division
15:29main event
15:30here in Denver, Colorado.
15:34And Hayden Deegan en route
15:35to defending his win
15:37of a year ago
15:38here at Empire Field
15:39at Mile High.
15:40Dude's on a Sunday cruise
15:41right now,
15:42absolutely chilling,
15:44able to pick his way
15:45through the lappers.
15:46I mean,
15:47he's lapped all the way up
15:48through 10th place.
15:49The next guy in front of him
15:50is ninth position.
15:52That's Josh Parise.
15:53There he is,
15:54just right in front of him.
15:57Ken Rockson
15:58suiting up,
16:00gearing up,
16:01ready to step out
16:03and go another round
16:05up against Hunter Lawrence
16:06and the returning
16:08Eli Tomac
16:09as Deegan carves
16:10his way through traffic.
16:12Close quarters.
16:15They're going to have
16:16one more lap.
16:17You can see the time
16:18has officially expired
16:20so when he crosses
16:21that finish line
16:22the white flag
16:23will be waving.
16:24He's going to collect himself
16:26another bonus check.
16:28We've been talking about
16:30Will was quoting
16:31Brian Deegan,
16:32Hayden's dad.
16:33You just saw
16:34young Griff
16:35give his dad
16:36Ken Rockson
16:37a fist bump.
16:37Go get him, dad.
16:38And little Griffin
16:39was up here
16:40visiting us.
16:41He wanted to check out
16:42the TV booth.
16:44Great to have him
16:45and his wife,
16:46Ken's wife,
16:47Courtney,
16:47up here.
16:49Again,
16:50again,
16:50this is going to be
16:51Hayden Deegan's
16:5314th,
16:55250 win
16:56in one lap time.
16:58There's Dan Bryan
16:58looking on.
17:00He will surpass
17:01Jed Lawrence.
17:02He'll surpass
17:03Austin Faulkner
17:04and he'll surpass
17:05the King,
17:06Jeremy McGrath
17:07with 14 wins
17:09of order 250
17:10in Monster Energy
17:11AMA Supercross
17:12competition.
17:16and he's still
17:17got one more
17:17left.
17:18He can draw
17:18a little
17:19with Nate
17:19Ramsey
17:20for second
17:20all-time
17:21next weekend.
17:22I mean,
17:23it's just
17:23absolutely
17:24incredible,
17:25fun to watch
17:26and just how
17:28quick it
17:28happened.
17:29Told the story
17:30a whole lot
17:32here and
17:34he has certainly
17:35gotten polished
17:36on this racetrack
17:38and his craft
17:40these last
17:40couple years.
17:41One more
17:42trip through
17:43the whoops
17:43and it's
17:43over.
17:45One more
17:45trip through
17:46the whoops,
17:46one more
17:47trip through
17:47the sand.
17:49Denver,
17:50Danger Boy
17:51equals victory.
17:53Deegan wins
17:54in Denver.
18:03Another
18:04colossal
18:04victory
18:05in his
18:06comfort zone
18:07in his
18:09place.
18:10He says,
18:11yes,
18:11that's what
18:12I do
18:13and I've
18:14got just
18:15one race
18:16left
18:16aboard a
18:17250.
18:19This
18:20crowd's a
18:20little
18:21different
18:21this year.
18:28and Yamaha
18:29continues
18:31its
18:32phenomenal
18:32run in
18:332026.
18:36Look
18:37at those
18:38winners
18:40and none
18:41better than
18:41the man
18:42on your
18:42screen.
18:4420-year-old
18:45Hayden
