00:00I think it's for me personally, right, from my perspective, it's about a team that's playing baseball the right way,
00:04right?
00:05I think where Sox fans were some years ago, dealing with the people that we know who we're talking about,
00:11dealing with those guys,
00:12you always felt like the desire, right, the fire to play baseball, to be in love with it,
00:17the way that, you know, the Bears brass is talking about their draft picks that they wanted.
00:21They wanted them to, if you took away baseball from these players, you want them to hate it, to be
00:25miserable.
00:26They wouldn't know what to do with themselves.
00:27And I don't know if that was the case maybe with some of the guys they had a couple of
00:30years ago,
00:30but who they have now in that dugout, that's what's fun.
00:33That's what's infectious when you're talking about Montgomery, Chase Meidroff, Miguel Vargas.
00:38These are guys that you like rooting for, but I think Sox fans, myself included,
00:42what you're the most happy about is, one, you're not being embarrassed night in and night out, right?
00:46You're supporting a team that has the potential to win some games.
00:49And when you win four out of five series with a sweep, right, tucked in there against the Angels,
00:55those are teams that are going to be playing again today, when you feel all of that,
00:58you feel good about your team.
00:59Now I can watch on any given day, my team might win, and I might get a homer out of
01:04Murakami
01:05or Montgomery, and that in itself is enough to watch in the present.
01:08Today there is an article on MLB.com.
01:10I guess this is yesterday from Merkin about Murakami as a teammate.
01:14There's also a 10-minute breakdown from MLB Network on Murakami's power
01:19and what it is all about.
01:21Like, he is one of these stories of MLB.
01:23And what's fascinating is that because he has a language barrier with everybody,
01:29it's kind of uniting everybody to try and get along with him and, like, get along as a team.
01:38It appears to be part of what is happening there, where he's a story, he's a badass,
01:44and everybody wants to hang around him on that team.
01:47And some of the connectors, like the guys who are trying to connect Latin culture
01:52and U.S. baseball culture, are also trying to connect with Murakami.
01:57It's kind of a beautiful thing that's going on.
