00:00Those San Francisco Giants.
00:01A lot of key changes in the offseason here, which included their manager.
00:06Now their manager comes in and maybe a little bit abrasive,
00:09maybe a different coaching strategy or let's just say vibe in the dugout.
00:13They did have a little bit of a bounce back,
00:14but now we see Craig loses five straight ballgames in the basement of the NLS,
00:19sitting at 13-20 on the season.
00:22Not a good series in Philadelphia.
00:24And now they're on their way to a five-game streak,
00:26three and seven, by the way, in their last 10 as well.
00:29All right, so the Giants is one of the more peculiar situations of all.
00:33They won 101 games a few years ago.
00:36Gabe Kapler is the manager of the year for them,
00:38has one bad year the next year, and they bring in Bob Melvin,
00:43they fire Farhan Zaidi, they just completely overhaul the Giants.
00:48They decide that Buster Posey is going to be the guy to run the organization,
00:52and Buster is one of the sharpest guys that's ever played the game behind home plate.
00:56But having never done this before, goes out and gets a manager from college,
01:01and it appears as though it's like, yeah, we're going to reinvent the wheel
01:04and do all of these great things.
01:05But what the Giants forgot to do, Donnie, was field a batting lineup every day.
01:11Like, what is going on here?
01:12They literally don't hit home runs, like, ever.
01:16Like, this is unacceptable.
01:18You can't have a team rolled out every day.
01:21Donnie, they play games on the road, too.
01:23I understand they're not going to hit at home, it's a tough place to hit home runs.
01:26But just look at the last six games that they've played, no runs, one run, no runs, two runs.
01:34This is a game of offense.
01:35You have to be able to score runs to win Major League Baseball games.
01:40And to me, I don't think it has anything to do with the manager.
01:44Like, this is the trade that they made for Devers just looks awful right now.
01:49Like, Devers, I don't know what happened to him in his career.
01:51I mean, is it possible that this is one of those deals where a guy just goes to another team
01:55and it's over?
01:55I don't know.
01:57And the offensive roster construction is a zero.
02:00I'm just sorry to say.
02:01They must, must get guys who can slug and hit home runs.
02:06They don't have anyone.
02:07They don't have anyone.
02:07They don't have anyone.
